  1. Hooray, another raffle! I really want a chrome Vader (I have no other way to get one). Lets see... 1 - Imperial Landing Craft by Lars (not indexed yet) 2 - Cloud City by Kaitan 3 - Venator-class Republic Attack Cruiser by thire5 4 - z-74 Speederbike by Lars 5 - Royal Gunship by Oky Wan Kenobi I'd also like to give an honorable mention to DutchRebel for making an a nice and shiny Naboo Starfighter.
  2. Me too. I even keep the polybags from sets! I just keep any damaged pieces that I have. I'll probably use them for things like fillers (as Siegfried said) in the future.
  3. Wow, that looks great, Dave! The color scheme is really "girly", but it suits the mecha. And if there was actually a LUG named "FAG-LUG", that would be hilarious.
  4. Happy birthday def, and happy birthday to the Reviewer's Academy!
  5. I would get 4954 Model Town House, because it has these 1 x # bricks in tan (according to BrickLink): 18 1 x 1 bricks 56 1 x 2 bricks 48 1 x 3 bricks 29 1 x 4 bricks 11 1 x 6 bricks 25 1 x 8 bricks 26 1 x 10 bricks one 1 x 16 brick while 6754 Family Home has these 1 x # tan bricks (again according to BrickLink): 20 1 x 1 bricks 56 1 x 2 bricks 35 1 x 3 bricks 32 1 x 4 bricks 23 1 x 6 bricks 15 1 x 8 bricks The Temple of the Crystal Skull set only has 15 1 x 6 tan bricks.
  6. That looks really good, Dr. S! The use of the Duplo trees as the fuel tank is a great idea, and the smoothness of it (no studs showing) makes it look really nice. The suspension is a great addition, too!
  7. Wow, that looks great! I love how all of the bumpiness of it makes it look like it's detailed with lots of greebles. It's much better than LEGO's version of the Imperial Landing Craft. Keep up the good work!
  8. Wow, that's looking great! I love how it looks so smooth and studless. Also, the chrome gold C-3PO is looking shiny! It's a custom. Lobot was only made in yellow, in the Twin Pod Cloud Car set. And I was wondering, where did you get that custom head from? The back part looks really good.
  9. It all depends on what you like more. If you like more parts, more models, and a longer build, you should go for the Beach House set. If you like minifigures, more non-basic parts, and really like Indiana Jones, you should get Shanghai Chase. If I were you, I would get the Beach House set, since it has a huge amount of pieces (522), a baseplate, and it weighs over two times as much as Shanghai Chase (according to BrickLink, but that might just be from the weight of the instructions). Good luck on choosing a set to buy!
  10. How? Was the German version released earlier than the English version?
  11. That horse is only worth around $1 USD. http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4493c01px2
  12. Look at these replies by me and grogall:
  13. Great and detailed review, Clone O'Patra! This impulse set is much better than the one that we got last year (?) because of all of those accessories. The red dragon plumes are a great addition to the knight, along with the fact that it's an exclusive minifigure! Your video was funny, too. And congratulations on being promoted to a knight!
  14. Thanks for finding those pictures and the link to the official site for the book, grogall! The book looks like it's going to be a great read. And for those who are wondering, there is a flesh printed part on the torso. Just look at the end of this video: http://us.dk.com/static/cs/us/11/101009/videos.html
  15. Congratulations, Svelte! You're one of the best reviewers and builders that I've ever seen, and you really deserve this position.
  16. filefolders is 100 years old (although he even says that he lied about his age in his "interests" section).
  17. Happy birthday SirNadroj and Ricecracker! I hope you get lots of <insert favorite LEGO theme here> sets!
  18. Actually, we do. I know that Dano has a whole bunch of contacts, so people would comment as soon as he uploaded it, and the first comment was posted an hour ago, while Yloquen's post was around 7 hours old. And if I'm wrong, I'm sorry.
  19. Actually, Yloquen found it, in the "2010 themes and sets?" thread. So I suggest that you give credit to him, since Yloquen found it around 7 hours before Dano did. But anyways, I can't really see why LEGO would decide to make another underwater theme, since they discontinued Aqua Raiders in one year (and will be only 3 years old in 2010)...
  20. No, it doesn't. If you look at the set number of the army men set, it's the highest of them all, which means that it's also the most expensive one. Well, at least the set with Zurg is one of the lower numbered sets.
  21. Yeah, the Freeco bike set is probably going have only one minifigure, and probably will be priced at $10 USD. Hooray for Amazon Germany for posting the names of not-yet-released sets!
  22. Wow, that diner looked pretty awesome. LEGO should make that into a real Space Police set... By the way, the third log is now on YouTube (uploaded 3 hours ago):
  23. Wow, that looks very promising, Jammiedodger! I can't wait to see how it turns out. But be sure to add some buildings, so it won't just be vehicles and people on baseplates. EDIT: Congratulations on getting 1,000 posts! And by the way, it's 1000th, not 1000st.
  24. Great review, starstreak! Your photos are good as usual, and your slideshow of the build was really in-depth. I really like this set, but not enough for me to get it (since I don't like Technic). The Power Functions features seem really cool (but slow ). The alternate model looks promising, too. Perhaps you will do another review of it sometime? I voted for "It's nice, but I'm not a Technic builder" and "Awesome! I always read your reviews!".
  25. Congratulations, Erdbeereis! You deserve it, since you have contributed so many MOCs, reviews, and other things for us to enjoy. I hope you like your new position! Someone as young as you (though I'm still younger ) creating such amazing MOCs (which come with high-quality pictures, too!) is a great feat.
