Wow, that looks great! Now I want this set so badly for Christmas. I'm hoping that it's going to be around $60 USD, not around $80, since the modular house sets are priced much lower than the usual price-to-parts ratio.

Great review, Millacol! I don't really understand why anyone would buy this set instead of the Pirate Tank though. They both cost the same, but the latter includes two exclusive minifigures (with highly detailed back printing on the head and torso) and one hard to find minifigure, and some play features, and more vibrant colors. I give this set an average, because it does still look pretty good. EDIT: I just noticed that there was no poll yet. Perhaps you could add one, Millacol? Hmm, you're right. It's probably just the difference in countries (Canada and Denmark). Here's KimT's picture if you guys want to know what LEGOscum means:

Nice idea, Erdbeereis! Are you going to make a whole series of LEGO food next? I'm thinking pizza with pepperoni...

Thanks for sharing this with us! I always wanted to know what made a LUL figure tick. So, is it in every way an actual minifigure now? Or does the head not come off? Also, isn't the cape really loose (it keeps spinning around the neck)? I looked at my friends' (yes they're twins ) LUL Mace Windu, and the cape was so loose.

If they charge you for the piece, they will send an e-mail a few days later, and you have to provide your credit card number or send a check or something (they will tell you how much the parts cost), and if you don't within 10 days of that e-mail, the request and everything is ignored. If you only request for 2 or so pieces, usually they just send it for free without any other e-mails other than the one that asks for your to participate in a survey and stuff like that.

7195 Ambush in Cairo... on Sale?!
ILikePi replied to The Alchemyst's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Oh, I thought that they said that it was the stretchy type on stores.lego.com, but they actually don't say what type it is. Oh well, if I get it, I'll just keep it as a collectible, stretchy fabric or not. -
7195 Ambush in Cairo... on Sale?!
ILikePi replied to The Alchemyst's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
No, the original price was $10.99 USD. One dollar off a set sounds a bit too little to make a new topic, though (and nothing to get excited about )... But anyways, I would just go to the LEGO Store on August 17-19 to buy Ambush in Cairo, since you get a free Indiana Jones book cover (the stretchy type). http://www.flickr.com/photos/toomuchdew/3694665674/ -
Nooo, I lost! Ahh, I didn't know that names from the CW TV series would work...otherwise I would have at least 20 more...
-
Wow, how did you do that? Photoshop? Anyways, thanks for enhancing the photos! Now I can save all four of these (in case one isn't clear) to use to build it sometime! EDIT (replying to Svelte's comment below): Oh, I just tried using "auto-correct" on Microsoft Office Picture Manager, and it yielded the same results.

Wow, thanks for linking us to these instructions, Big Pete! It looks really nice, and I never knew that some parts were used in making it (mainly the two black "railing" pieces). I've saved them to my computer to make some time in the future, when I have the parts to do so.

Here's 8400 Space Speeder built in the bag: The minifigure took two minutes, since the head and pants got stuck in the bag... and the set itself took 4 minutes, since the bag is so empty, unlike 8399 K-9 Bot. Also notice the upside-down jackhammer piece.

Build a frigate with Captain Green Hair
ILikePi replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in Pirate MOCs
Wow, your tutorial is really detailed and (seems) easy to follow, Captain! Unfortunately I have almost none of those pieces listed so far, but that's just because Pirates isn't my number one LEGO theme (it's in my top 5, though). -
Wow, that is just hilarious! But shouldn't you give credit to the creator of the sphere and original grey Death Star sphere on this thread (before everyone starts thinking that you came up with the sphere design)? http://bruce.kus-numa.net/lego/starwars/smalldeathstar.html http://bruce.kus-numa.net/lego/miscellaneous/sphere68.html http://www.flickr.com/photos/lights/3793933120/

Yes, I agree. Almost all of the TIEs are the same black and grey color, so I wouldn't buy one of them for the design or anything. If there is a TIE next year, and it only includes one TIE pilot, then there is a zero chance of me getting it (unless I win the lottery or something, of course).

For me, the ads are about this game called "Transformers Headquarters". Nice new old picture () of the chicken/hen/rooster, though. What about roosters? Are they male chickens that are over one year old?
-
It's obviously not a replacement to the normal 1 x 1 round plate. I'm guessing that these pieces were made specially for the Games sets, so they could be used as eyes (for the robots and spider). EDIT: Oky Wan beat me by a few seconds!

I just bag-build 8399 K-9 Bot a few hours ago, and it was pretty fun. It took me around 10-15 minutes. Sorry about the under-par pictures; these were taken in my room. The minifig took me around 2 minutes... and the K-9 bot took me around 5 minutes, since the bag was so cramped. In this build, I forgot to put the air tank on the minifig, and I reversed one of the legs on the dog. Overall, it was a great experience, and I will definitely do this for all impulse sets I get in the future. Next up: Space Speeder! But Squidman Escape has two bags, so you can't do it anyways.
-
Ahh, I should have tried this with my BBQ Stand set! Oh well, I'll attempt to do this to my Space Police impulse sets tomorrow.
-
Today I went to the LEGO Store and got a free lobster mini set, both Space Police impulse sets, the City BBQ Stand impulse set, and the Star Wars magnet set with Clone Wars Yoda, Count Dooku, and Mace Windu.

Wow, your chickens look really fat delicious cool! How old are they, and is it fun having them as a pet?

Commander (), last year, for the first wave of 2009, when were preliminary pictures of most of the sets found? I didn't know about Eurobricks at that time. His name is Commander KimT (at least for now)! Anyways, I wonder why LEGO didn't find out about the "leaked" pictures of the "2010 battle packs"? They didn't even change the video or anything. Or maybe this is part of their plan (to trick people into thinking that they "accidentally" leaked the blurry pictures of the battle packs)...
-
Oh, so that's why my Royal Guard keychain is double colored (red helmet, dark red torso and pants assemblies)...
-
If you read the first few lines of ADHO15's post, you can see that he has already packed up every single one of these sets, and probably some are already in the hands of other people.
-
Well, happy late birthday anyways! Are you still building all of your sets? Yeah, but he's an adult, and adults can blow their money off on whatever they want to blow it off on.
-
Happy birthday, Bloody Jay (hey that rhymes )! I loved reading your LEGO Harry Potter reviews. I hope you'll come back on EB soon!
