Calm down, they're obviously going to be $10.99 USD.

Wow, the Winter Toy Shop set looks awesome! There's so many detailed packed into that half-house! I really like the extra room upstairs for the repair shop. The tree is well designed, and all of the other things are really nice additions! For $60 USD, this set is an amazing deal! Now I can't really decide on which to get: this or (if it comes to the US) the Pirates Advent Calendar? If I had to guess, I think that it will last for at least a year, since it would be a waste of time for LEGO designers to spend a year or more to develop a set, just to have it availwable for a few months. I'll also send an e-mail to LEGO Customer Service with this question and get back to you. EDIT: By the way, instructions are up! You can really see how well made the whole set is, and clearly see the complete interior! http://cache.lego.com/bigdownloads/buildin...ons/4566066.pdf

I don't plan on buying any Mega Bloks sets, but I would love it if someone could post reviews of some of the Halo sets, just so we can see a comparison of LEGO and Mega Bloks in detail, quality, accessories, etc.

No problem. Actually, those are pieces are from a LEGO factory worker that molded the ghost piece in a different color when no one was looking.

Good to have you on Eurobricks, LEGOMyMamma! I'm sorry if I am not actually helpful in the group. It's just that I rarely remember who made the MOCs that are stolen (and also, I have never seen most of the stolen MOCs before).

This BrickLink seller has 63 of the baseplates (they're 48 x 48, right?) for $12.78 USD each. He says that his shipping starts at $2.50, and he lives in the US. Also, he accepts PayPal, so you might want to consider it. Also, I hope that you're not over 99 years old, because then these baseplates wouldn't be meant for you. EDIT: Forgot to add the link to the store!

What other SW "Battle Packs" would you like to see?
ILikePi replied to BearHeart's topic in LEGO Star Wars
We already have this thread for LEGO Star Wars sets that you want to be made. So could a mod please merge this? -
I might go to the LEGO Store in Santa Clara. If I do go, your wish is my command! I'll be sure to take lots of pictures (if I go).

Since the only post I made in this thread was one that was posted in February, which didn't say anything about how amazing this MOC is (and now this topic is revived), I'll make another post. Wow, this is one of the best LEGO Venators I have ever seen! You've really captured the shape of the ship, thire5! The side greebles in dark bley and dark grey are very nice, and I think that the combination of the two colors makes it look even more detailed! The trans-black cheese slopes and plates on the command tower(s) are a nice addition! The Republic logos are simple, but very effective. It's a shame that you had to take it apart. And Anio, your friend's remake of the Venator is even better! I really like the trans-blue engines, too! Also, those greebles on the sides are very nice and detailed! Great parts usage there.

Great review WhiteFang! If the Pirates Advent Calendar isn't made available in the US, I just might have to get this one (or maybe the Winter Toy House set)! I don't have any City minifigures or City related items (other than the 2006 ambulance ), so this would be a great start to my town! EDIT: I voted for this year's advent calendar as the better one because these mini sets look better designed. Also, there's so many extra cheeses! Here's a comparison of the extra parts between the two calendars: The top one is the 2009 version. Although the 2008 calendar has a wider variety of parts, most of them are common (for example the technic pins and the bricks), while the 2009 one has some nice transparent round plates and other things.

Star Wars The Quest for R2-D2; Full game now online

Hmm, that's odd how they would use him instead of Ahsoka. Thanks for telling me though! Really? Now I have to play this. -
Sorry for the late entry! I finished building this at around September 10th, and now I'm finally posting it for all of you to enjoy! LEGO S@H "quote": Command the Imperial army to victory! As the Galactic Civil War rages on to planet after planet, the Imperial army is controlled inside the Death Star. Build up your Imperial army with the Imperialâ„¢ Command Center, a control post situated in the Death Star, and lead your troops to victory! Includes 2 Stormtroopersâ„¢, Sandtrooperâ„¢, Imperial Officerâ„¢ and a weapons rack! Includes three plasma screens with interchangeable stickers! Power the plasma screens with the generator at the back! Customize the control panels by following the included instructions for over 10 layouts! Clean the radioactive waste with the shovel and trash can! Build your army and add the Rebel Outpost for even more fun! Measures over 6" (15cm) long and 3" (7cm) wide! It includes exactly 70 pieces (minus the minifigs, of course). My motivation for building this was that I wanted a "playset" type battle pack instead of a vehicle type one for once. Also, the Imperials are my favorite faction in Star Wars! I was just watching TV one day in early September, then the thought just came to me. Most of the parts are from 10186 General Grievous. "Box" Shot Minifigures Without Minifigures Back Accessories I still have two pictures to upload (back and accessories), but I don't have much time right now. EDIT: Pictures have been added! Credit goes to ImperialShadows for the Imperial officer torso decal. You can see higher resolution pictures by clicking "all sizes" on my Flickr page. Thanks for looking, and good luck to all who enter!

Star Wars The Quest for R2-D2; Full game now online
ILikePi replied to lego maniac's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Oh, really? Thanks for telling us! Now I'll play it. By the way, is the other "secret character" ? You already spoiled it by telling us that was the Separatist one, so why not tell us about the Republic one? -
I heard somewhere (can't remember ) that the visual dictionaries will be available on S@H. EDIT: Oh and KimT, you might want to update the screenshot of the dictionary's official website. There's now links to events and a contest on the home page. http://us.dk.com/static/cs/us/11/101009/index.html And by the way, can someone tell me what the events are going to be like? I can't decide if I want to go or not. If they have some really good raffles and giveaways (chrome Vaders ), then I'm (probably) in!

Star Wars The Quest for R2-D2; Full game now online
ILikePi replied to lego maniac's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I played a few levels, and I have to say that it is repetitive. All of the missions are about eliminating all of the enemies, destroying something, or rebuliding something. Also, all of the levels look pretty much the same. If there were some bosses or something, I think that the game would be much more fun. But for a free online flash game, it's just OK. Playing the game also made me forget about posting my entry to the battle pack contest (I'll have to do it tomorrow now!). -
Wow, thanks for sharing all of these detailed pictures of combinations you can make with 6 Fire Brigades, Svelte! It really shows how modular the set is (that is, if you buy/BrickLink all of the floors )! Wow, this picture really shows how cool the the set is when it's really tall. I hope to see more of these cool combinations when the next modular house set comes out!

That's because the LEGO Ben 10 theme is about Ben 10: Alien Force, not the original Ben 10 series. The aliens in Alien Force are completely different than that of the original Ben 10 series.

Double fail! By CC, Oky Wan meant the Power Miners Cave Crusher. Just look at what Oky Wan was answering to: I'll try to take pictures of all of the other mistakes that I found in all of the catalogs (over 25) sometime soon for all of you to enjoy...

The Tri-Fighter and Snowtroopers Battle Pack are looking great! I'm not too fond on the size of the AT-AT pilot's helmet, but it looks really detailed. However, based on ForceMaster's picture, I like the old helmet more. The old helmet was the main reason why I liked the LEGO version of the AT-AT pilot so much...

Well, to me, these actually look nice. They don't look like the Galidor sets at all to me. Those had no moving parts, right? Just a one mold piece? These actually have joints, so I guess that it can be compared to BIONICLE. Also, keep in mind that these were made for kids aged 6-12 (or something like that), and that these are not aimed for AFOLs (those huge, highly detailed and expensive sets are for AFOLs).
-
Wow, that looks awesome! How long did it take to draw it? I don't want to bother you def, but I think you should know that you drew the droid's arms upside-down. The thicker end of the droid arm is supposed to be attached to the joint.

The Adventures of Clutch Powers!
ILikePi replied to The Alchemyst's topic in General LEGO Discussion
There's also a blog post on The Brothers Brick with a picture of a poster. For a kids movie that will probably be rated PG (cartoon violence ), it looks like it's going to be pretty good. -
Here's a better picture of the "ruins" set: But anyways, nice find Black Rabbit! This theme is looking pretty good now!
-
I've found a picture of the Tri-Fighter and the Snowtroopers Battle Pack, thanks to Black Rabbit (for posting the link to the photostream in the Power Miners 2010 thread)! It's not confidential or anything, so I'll deeplink it: The person who took the picture said that there's a new helmet for the grey minifigure (probably an Imperial officer)!

Wow, the Fire Blaster looks really good! It's about time the miners and rock monsters got a color change! I also bought one of each of the Power Miners impulse sets, but I found the rock monster one to be disappointing. The parts are so simple, and the catapult only works half of the time... However, the miner impulse set is great! There's so many parts for $3 USD. Also, there were around 5 extras (no extras for the rock monster impulse)! These are my first Power Miners sets, so almost every single piece is new to me, but I can understand why some other people (Oky Wan) don't like the impulse sets.
