  1. Thanks for the review! I personally don't think that these are of a good quality. From what I can see on your pictures, the lines look choppy and rounded, and there is a large amount of excess plastic all over the parts, much unlike BrickArms and BrickForge. Of course, they are crazily detailed, but I also don't like that because they don't fit well into the LEGO universe.
  2. Oh, I can't believe that I missed this review! The reason is probably that I almost never go to the Bionicle section of the forum. Great pictures as always! It's weird how the part selection is so small for such a large set. 98 normal Technic pins and 96 tread pieces, now that's crazy. I like how the set can transform, but the part about how the pistons can break if you click the hinge pieces the wrong way is horrible. I bet that many kids will be sad...
  3. Brickshelf is up again (if it was down in the first place).
  4. Wow, that's an amazing animation. Probably the best I've ever seen! Garret Barati must be proud!
  5. Wow, those look amazing! My favorites have to be the cleaver, saw, and golf club. They just look so accurate when compared to the real things.
  6. Great find Navy Trooper Fenson! The ARC-170 is looking better by the pictures. Unfortunately it's not good enough for me to get, but I hope to see some reviews. Thanks for the information KimT! A new Grievous? That sounds awesome, especially since I wasn't able to get the old one! And JCC1004, I think that Kit Fisto will have another rubbery head since I heard somewhere that it's easier to mold details with rubber.
  7. Ha, that was an amusing film. Maybe it's a glimpse of a theme that we'll see in the future (the head looks new!)? Those chrome megaphones are awesome, too! The website is also very interesting. Hopefully we'll find out more about this video and the site!
  8. That's nothing - they were on clearance for 50% in July/August! That's how I got my Crystal Skull set for $40 USD.
  9. Wow, those customs are looking great The Penguin! Is the whole Jedi hood piece for the wizard painted? If so, you did a really good job on the purple. I especially like the gold lining for the edges of the cape and hood. Who knew that purple and gold went together so well? The others are as good as ever, especially the unicorn! I can't wait to see more of your creations!
  10. The regular version is on the left. As for your question legotrainfan, if you have enough money or will have enough to get both sets, I would get both Town Plan first. If you can only get one, I would get Green Grocer. Edited a stupid mistake
  11. Another impressive MOC from pedro! I like the shape of the whole thing, and those greebles (cheese graters and pneumatic T-pieces) make it look much better than the official one in the Clone Turbo Tank. Your pictures are looking good, too! Keep up the great work!
  12. I love it! It looks much better than the dark red in the official LEGO set. The thinner nose and changed wings look much better. Great work!
  13. The snowman set includes six new white 1 x 1 bricks with a stud on one side! This piece only existed in clone brand sets until now!
  14. Yes, I think that you will get at least 10% off no matter what. I think that the gift cards are just a bonus if you actually get one. Good luck on getting the Death Star! It's probably every LEGO Star Wars fan's dream (including mine).
  15. Done! I've also added choices like "Release more TFOL- and AFOL-targeted sets" (with those "plain" boxes) and "Availability of LEGO sets" (like the Pirates Advent Calendar, and most sets for other countries).
  16. Sounds interesting Nannan! I like the idea of putting MOCs on auction and giving all of the proceeds to charity. Looks like you've already got bids on one fourth of all of the creations! If I had a BrickLink account, I would bid on the Slick Bricks certificate. Heather and Alex's license plates and street signs look amazing. Good luck!
  17. Well, it's great to hear that the pearl light grey color is changing, since most pieces with that color look like they're made of cheap plastic. I don't think that pearl dark grey needs changing, though, as it looks really good for things like super battle droids and cannons. I also hate how all pearl colors have huge swirls. I don't think that trans-black needs to be replaced. It looks great, and works really well as a "tinted" windshield. I wonder what the replacement color will look like?
  18. Yeah, I just saw that. Can a moderator change the subtitle to "30008 and 30009"?
  19. It seems that there are two more mini sets for Christmas! 30008 Snowman With an orange carrot nose, a bright red bow tie, and a broom in his hand, this buildable LEGO snowman is all ready for the holidays and for you to hang him up on your tree! 30009 Christmas Tree Build a festive LEGO Christmas tree, complete with decorations on the branches, a transparent jewel at the top, and a pile of colorful presents at the base! They're both $3.49 USD each, and are currently only on the TRU website. Enjoy! Credit goes to The Metal One on Flickr, who posted links in this picture by TooMuchDew. EDIT: mhuffman of Flickr posted this picture:
  20. I have to agree, bumping some topics can be good sometimes, even if the "bump" post isn't that good. But for a second I thought that xwingyoda came back to EB, then I saw the date of the post... Anyways, great ship! The color scheme is interesting and it looks just as good as the official sets! Also the use of "servant" instead of "slave" is funny.
  21. Thanks for posting this! I don't see anything on the page about a buy 2 get 1 free sale, though. I won't be going there because I have no idea where the closest Kmart is. There doesn't seem to be much stuff, too, according to the Kmart site... I also think that this belongs in the Black Friday discussion thread.
  22. Great find!I personally think that this version is as good, if not better, than the version that we got. There are fences surrounding the carousel, and the side of the roof is very colorful! Also, there is a ticket booth, which most rides have.
  23. Great review parchioso! The fact that 72 jewels are included is superb! I never thought that LEGO would ever put that many into a set! I really like the design of the treasure chests, and the actual rules to play the game is very creative - a great twist to the original Mastermind! You guys can see how the game is played here. I can't wait for these to be released to the US! I plan on getting at least Monster 4 and possibly this.
  24. Thanks for posting these pictures Spyder! I think that trick-or-treaters stole my mail on Halloween, and that my Club magazine was in it. You just reminded me to request for a new one! And I was wondering, do any of the pages/comics that you took pictures of have the BrickMaster logo on them? If you're wondering what it looks like, look at the top left of the Toy Story poster. The normal Club magazine only has the things that have a picture of a red brick. Actually, I think that that is when the official Atlantis website goes up. The sets always become available near Christmas.
  25. Wow, that looks beautiful! Words can't describe how magnificent that is. I've been waiting ever since you put that teaser pic in your signature to see the whole building. I can't wait to see when you put for the interior and what you will do with it for Christmas! And I was wondering, what piece did you use for sand green leaves of the two potted plants? Once again, splendid job - it looks just as good (even a bit better, since you didn't have any price limitations ant other things) than the official modular building sets!
