  1. Awesome, seven points instead of the usual three! I love all of the wonderful creations, but in the end my votes go to: Jansued - 3 (I love the idea of a pirate dentist, and his wife is beautiful ) Pelleaon - 2 (Great model of a golf course!) Selander - 2 (The decals are fantastic, and did you know that I like pie? )
  2. I think that the RC car set has a bad price to parts ratio because it includes a working pull back motor in blue, which sometimes drives up the price of the set by $5 or more. Link to the pictures on page 26 (since the Amazon links are broken)
  3. Ahh, thanks for clarifying! I have changed my post in response to this information. No, not yet! Only Monster Crab Clash, Guardian of the Deep and Typhoon Turbo Sub are out right now.
  4. I was wondering, are these older preliminaries than the ones that we saw on Amazon and other sites? It seems like it, but I just want to be sure, since some sets (mainly the Atlantis impulses) seem much better than the "official" box arts. EDIT: It's probably true, so I have lots of posts to edit on Flickr and here...
  5. If you actually read snefroe's post, you will see that he that he looked at Brickshelf the other day.EDIT: Ahh, beaten by Striker! Anyways, I'll probably be making another account for at least my review photos (while other photos like event photos will go in my Brickshelf account, and set news and things will go to my main Flickr account with either a link to more pics on BS or all of the pics will be uploaded there). Resizing photos on IrfanView really lowers the quality of the picture, while uploading the original picture to Flickr yields much clearer and less fuzzy ones.
  6. Nice find, thanks!I'll deeplink the two new ones for convenience: Wow, now this is a must have! Great to finally have a new female head print, and the skirt print is very well done. Nice! I love the suit, and the double colored wand is so awesome. I'm sure this is a must have for Inky.
  7. The army men and Western town sets look great! I'm so getting the army men "battle pack". Those pot helmets and green accessories are so fantastic. It looks like the pieces in the army men set are green, but the minesweeper is dark green. Does anyone have any other opinions? I like the Western town set very much, but not enough to get it. There are some very interesting details like the street sign and the brick-built cactus (pretty small for a cactus ), and the minifigs are still awesome. Army Men on Patrol Woody's Round-Up All sets

    City 2010

Wow, I love these City sets, especially the impulse ones and the Octan tanker! Impulse Sets - Wow! It's nice to know that they include parts that were only available in larger sets (double cheese, Indy bag, briefcases, pig , camera)! Octan Tanker - I love the Octan color scheme on the tank. "Smart" Car - Hopefully this won't be the actual minifig and just a prototype! Wow, I'm glad that LEGO went with a new "hoodie" torso print instead of sticking with this! Repair Truck - Looks as good as ever, and I love that green trash can.
  9. There's not much to comment on the larger sets, but the impulse sets have really improved! The Atlantian is still pretty bad, but it's nice to know that they decided increase the parts count on the rock a bit. I love the diver one! Pretty cool for $3.49 USD. If these are the preliminaries, I'm really disappointed by what we got for the impulse sets. The rock for the Atlantian has been downsized, and the same with the diver's apparatus. But I will still buy them as they are meant to be bought on a impulse, after all. Atlantian Diver
  10. My thoughts on the sets: Battle Packs - We've already seen clearer pics, but seeing the old AT-AT pilot helmet makes me miss it so badly. Oh well, I can always purchase one on BrickLink in the future. Freeco Bike and Tri-Fighter Droid - Keeps getting better and better! I'll definitely be getting these. The minfigs are spectacular (rocket droid commander!). ARC-170 - Nice to know that the minifigs look that good. Hopefully the orange visor minifig head is a double sided one! R4-P17 R4-P44 (?) also looks interesting with the dark green head.
  11. Thanks for all the pictures! I'll post all my thoughts in the corresponding threads (links will be added below this post later). LEGO Star Wars LEGO Atlantis LEGO City LEGO Toy Story
  12. Clever use of the Castle wheels for the drum, and I really love the striped pattern on the front. I love the doors that hide the controls in the back! Do you mind if I use that in the future?
  13. Oh, I didn't know that he helped! Thanks 3D Brickthing! Congrats Saint for winning the main prize, and congratulations Kanaju and DJ Force for winning the sub prizes! Can't wait to see who wins tomorrow! And thanks so much CopMike for all of the prizes!
  14. I love these! Marvelous work as usual Penguin! You painted these very well - the heads don't even look like they used to be Yoda's anymore! Also, clever use of Hagrid's hair for the spilled oil!
  15. I just saw this on Flickr. I must say, I love them, especially the trans-light blue ones! Trans-light blue is my favorite transparent LEGO color. Thanks for making these Will! Any information on the price of the packs?
  16. Okay, so you revive a year old thread just to complain about an unimportant thing, even though the poll was made in 2007, and the Troll Warship was released in 2008? My favorite ship would have to be Jabba's Sail Barge, since it is the only LEGO Star Wars ship in the list. It also includes some great minifigs, and the sides can open to access the interior! There also seems to be much extra space on the top where you can have your own additions, too!
  17. Maybe they added it after that iPod touch commercial (look at the end): Thanks for reposting the picture of the spaceman, too! I almost forgot how it looked and I was too lazy to search for it in the other thread.
  18. Nice haul, but how did you get the minifig parts? You aren't supposed to put them into the cup, but rather buy three minifigs for a whopping price of $10 USD. you were really lucky that you could put some minifig parts into your cup! EDIT: By the way, this belongs in the PAB cup thread.
  19. Wow, thanks for that! It'll save me hours of downloading each picture one by one.
  20. Finally it's back up! Well, I'm not sure what to do now. I'll probably be uploading my future review photos to a different Flickr account than my main one, but I don't really like the idea of logging in and out into two accounts. I don't want to get a Pro account since I would much rather have an extra $25 to spend on LEGO every year instead of having unlimited uploads, the original size of a photo, and a stats chart. Anyone have an idea of what I should do?
  21. Great topic WhiteFang! It's interesting how the minifigs are already put in order by their name! My favorites have got to be the cheerleader (2), the crash test dummy (5), the robot (12), spaceman (14) and the zombie (16). It's a really tough decision to choose my favorite, but it has got to be the zombie, with the crash test dummy and the cheerleader coming in a very close tie for second place, the spaceman in fourth place, and with the robot trailing right behind at fifth place. Of course, all of these are some fine minifigs to add to any collection (including mine )!
  22. It's been just under a year since I last saw this banner! Oh the memories... I too would like to see a new banner, but this is just fine as I completely forgot how it looked except for the troll smashing SpongeBob into the ground.
  23. I think he meant to say "badges". EDIT: Beaten by Etzel! But at least I have more to say in my post. Pretty unfortunate how the minifig parts will be random, but it's a really good marketing technique! I also bet that these will be worth a large sum in the future after they are discontinued. Can't wait for them to come out!
  24. Thanks for the review def! I personally like the concept of these paper and LEGO sets very much, but the instructions in these sets are too simple. I was hoping for ones just like LEGO sets... I also agree with prateek, it would have been much better if the shapes and holes were already perforated for your convenience. It would also be so much better if the paper was plastic instead. EDIT: But I have to admit, these paper models do look very good! My favorites have to be the caterpillar and the turkey/chicken. They just look so cute!
  25. Wow! I love those minifigs! When these come out I'm so getting the cheerleader (2), the robot (12), the spaceman (14), and the zombie (16). Not so sure about the others, though, as I don't want my wallet to die. By the way, if they allow you to hold the polybags before buying them, you can always "cheat" and just feel for a certain part (like the robot head) to know what number minifig the bag has!
