I heard somewhere that TLG is testing the popularity of the board games in certain European countries before releasing them worldwide, which should happen at around the time the second wave of 2010 sets are released. I was also wondering about the advent calendars and the Star Wars mini sets. Can an ambassador ask about them?

I love it! The use of the printed parts for the windows is very clever. I was wondering, how did you get those white technic half pins? EDIT: Ah, I checked BrickLink, and found out that they exist in 7 sets. Before I only thought that they existed in blue and various shades of grey!

New Japanese LEGO Bricks x Paper Products!
ILikePi replied to Alywin's topic in General LEGO Discussion
There's a topic about this here. -
Welcome to Eurobricks Jameson! I saw these creations on Flickr a few days ago. I like the color schemes, the roof details, and the window railings! Keep up the good work, and enjoy your stay here!

Chris from Reasonably Clever found 7971 Bad at TRU: Probably the shortest set name in the history of LEGO.

I posted that. Here's a direct quote: Hopefully it will indeed return before the end of the year! And muell, do you have a LEGO Store near you? Chances are they still have lots on the shelf.

Thanks for the list mania! Good thing there's nothing that I want on there.

Black Friday 2009 discussion thread
ILikePi replied to Darth Legolas's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
If you look at Darth Legolas' signature, you will see that he already has a Death Star. -
I got to take turns playing a few hours of Modern Warfare 2 yesterday (it was my brother's birthday so he wasn't using his computer ) with my brother's friend, and wow, it's so fun! Third-person mode is really fun, and I really like the new killstreaks like the sentry gun. Some of my favorite weapons so far have got to be the riot shield, FAL, magnum, and P-90 akimbo with rapid fire (it's super fast, you've got to try it sometime ). I personally wouldn't buy it though. $60 USD is pretty expensive for a game (although my brother got it for $50). I would much rather get a LEGO Star Wars set. I also found this website called The Modern Warfare 2 with some info on things like killstreaks and perks. You guys might want to check it out.

These these types of threads are always kept open for a few days (so that more people will answer) then merged later. I personally would get the Tri-Fighter because of the rocket droid commander and the great dark blue pieces. It also has a piece-to-price ratio of less than $0.10. I don't know exactly why, but the ARC-170 doesn't look very appealing to me.

That sounds like a plausible theory Legoliner Pilot, thanks for sharing. The sets are made by "indifferent" employees, since they are robots! You probably meant to say packed.

Review: Holiday and Late Holiday 2009 Catalogues
ILikePi replied to VBBN's topic in General LEGO Discussion
http://shop.lego.com/HolidayShop/festivefun.aspx LEGO provided us with a broken link - you have to add ".aspx" to the end! My guess is that the scene will be revealed on 11/26/09... -
Happy Birthday, Millacol88 and our favorite Sith Lord, Vader!

Review: Holiday and Late Holiday 2009 Catalogues
ILikePi replied to VBBN's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hey, someone else besides me noticed that they can combine into a scene! I was going to post a picture about that, but then I got too lazy. I don't really understand why we even got a late holiday catalog just 15 days after the normal holiday one. My guess is that they did so so you could make the scene. There's not really anything extra in the late holiday one except for LEGO Rock Band and LEGO Indiana Jones 2, Duplo sets, and larger pictures of certain sets like the Home One (it takes up a whole page). I found one obvious mistake in the holiday catalog - if you look above the apple tree in the Medieval Market Village picture, there's a caption for Drawbridge Defense that's still lying there (it says 'Drawbridge is over 9" tall!')! Anyways, thanks for the review! -
I'm not sure if I can believe a new member with many grammar and spelling mistakes, but those details that you gave do sound pretty realistic! I'll try to think of some questions to ask later...

REVIEW: 8188 Fire Blaster (Power Miners)
ILikePi replied to CaptainRex110's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Great review! The figure are much better than I expected! We get a new magma/lava monster with trans-yellow body and head, black arms, and new printing on the body! I also love the new printing for the silver Power Miner and that new headset visor piece! The set doesn't seem that good now after your review, but I still like it. Unfortunately I probably won't be getting it though because of all of the other sets. Also, if your guys' appetites need to be whetted, you can read another review on the Mostly Bricks blog. http://mostlybricks.com/2009/11/21/review-...8-fire-blaster/ Awesome, now we won't have Technic holes on all four sides of the round part! -
I think that all sets are packed like how you described you got your set, but it's the shipping and other factors that moves all the bags and booklets around, resulting in mangled instruction booklets or sticker sheets. I have only bought one summer '09 set so far (the Separatist Shuttle), and it came with the worst instruction booklet that I got so far. It was curved like a wave diagonally (not damaged though).

Those look new!Buzz and the cowgirl (can't remember her name ) are looking great! I love the amount of detail on both of them. Wow, Bullseye is awesome! The legs, head, and saddle are well-designed. I've deeplinked them for everyone's convenience: Great find!

Welcome to Eurobricks, the best LEGO forum on the internet! Wow, those creations are stunning! You really retained the detail that the other modular houses have so well that they look like official LEGO sets! I also love that bus. The length and color are both just perfect. Hope you enjoy your stay here! I'll be looking in this part of the forum more now that you're here.

Happy birthday JimButcher! I wish you many days of magnificent reviewing! (For the record it's his birthday in my timezone ) Awesome, I hope you enjoy playing with them!
-
Awesome, thanks for finding those!I'll have to read the Mostly Bricks blog tomorrow for the review!

Don't worry about that stuff, the LEGO boxes will be just like the ones we have now except that "Star Wars" will be white and Captain Rex will replace the three clone troopers in the top right. LEGO Star Wars box designs are always different than that of Hasbro and those other action figure companies.
-
Awesome, thanks for the news KimT!I don't really like Castle, but I like the impulse sets for all themes.

Wow, three Venators?! Thanks for sharing those pics! When together, they look like those fleets from the Clone Wars TV series!
