Lego Toy Story set out in US Reviews of 7595 and 7590
ILikePi replied to Pugsly's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thanks for posting pics of the sets! 7595 Army Men On Patrol Wow! This has got to be one of the best small sets ever! The minifigs are spectacular, and I like the idea of green plastic army men made into LEGO with green plastic. I would have liked the whole set to be completely green (green tires and green headlights), but this is still perfect. The green accessories (walkie-talkie, rifles, binoculars, backpack, briefcase, stretcher, minesweeper) are amazing! Can't wait for this set to come out! Was the price $11 USD? 7590 Woody and Buzz to the Rescue It's good to know that LEGO has finally decided to print the odd shaped pieces (like the wedges and the astromech body) and also print the flat ones! Are there any stickers in 7590 Woody and Buzz to the Rescue? It's pretty unfortunate that Woody is packaged as one piece inside a bag. That means that he's made in China, and probably has the same plastic as keychains, magnet sets, etc. By the way, what was the price? $20 USD? And I was wondering, why did you post 10 pictures of the same angle of the RC car? This is one of the 10: -
Signed! I love the Harry Potter books and movies, but unfortunately I wasn't a LEGO fan when the LEGO Harry Potter theme was released. It would become my second favorite theme, competing right next to Toy Story (LEGO Star Wars will always be my favorite theme). π

LEGO Board games coming to the US in Spring 2010!
ILikePi replied to just2good's topic in General LEGO Discussion
We already knew that the LEGO Games will be released in 2010 for the US. I guess that this can be merged with the LEGO Games topic? -
The TIE Defender box art looks good! I like the asymmetrical inset pictures of the other sets and the back is as good as ever. The new helmet on the TIE pilot looks great! They finally have a mouth print. This is a more reasonable estimate, using the Amazon USA prices:8083 Rebel Trooper™ Battle Pack -- $10.99 8084 Snowtrooper™ Battle Pack --- $10.99 8085 Freeco Speeder™ ------------- $24.99 8086 Droid Tri-Fighter™ ------------ $24.99 8087 TIE Defender™ ---------------- $39.99 - $49.99 8088 ARC-170 Starfighter™ -------- $49.99 - $59.99 I don't think that the Tri-Fighter will be 15 USD. It has about 260 pieces!

Nice, thanks! I was waiting for the website to come out for quite a while. You're right, not much you can do, but you can click the blue 2 x 2 brick on the table and click the handle of the large drawer and the army men will do some things. Hooray! Hopefully this means that they will be released early. Was 7595 Army Men on Patrol $11 USD and 7590 Woody and Buzz to the Rescue $20 USD?

The website is up! If you go to the VIP area, enter the code spell 'ALOHOMORA' to see a video (about the game and how they make each character different), an upcoming blog, and download crests of your favorite house. They also have some different music playing all over the site, along with some downloadable wallpapers! Can't wait for the game to be released! I might just have to buy it this time instead of borrowing it from the library (unless actual sets come out).

Thanks for the link! I agree that it looks like it's going to be the best LEGO video game so far! I love the LEGO style magic (like going through the wall to platform 9 3/4 and going into Diagon Alley). Here's a deeplink of the trailer: That is 100% fake. Usually the YouTubers who make videos with a blue background and white text are little kids.Anyways, I don't think that LEGO would continue the LEGO Batman video game series since they discontinued the theme already. Plus, if we would have heard of a new LEGO video game first before that user, since we are after all a LEGO fan site! I can't wait to see the teaser site!

I'm not completely sure if these will work (I don't own some of the parts), but I found two techniques you could try. Technique 1 You could try using the tree top piece and attach three 1 x 1 round bricks to three of the bars (not sure if they will actually fit). The fourth bar could be on the top to act as a targeting sight. You could then add a lightsaber bar to the middle and attach an Exo-Force robot arm to the bar to make a handle. You could also add some Technic bushes to make it thicker. Technique 2 Using this Technic piece, you could find a way to attach three things to the three axles to look like the barrel of the gun. You could then attach a 2 length axle to the middle and attach a space gun to it. Hopefully what I suggested makes sense. I wish you good luck on searching for a way to make Zurg's gun!

Yay, you changed your name! Now I won't feel weird when using your name in a post. Can you explain why you chose The Who as your new name in the "What's in a name ???" thread?

I put a hat and beard on my avatar (I don't have an official sig-fig yet unfortunately): Old one: I really need to take a better picture of a different minifig. Looks good! I like the strings and lights around the saxaphone.

Lego Gun almost gets someone arrested.
ILikePi replied to simonjedi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The Brother's Brick posted an interview with Jeremy Bell: Looks like BrickGun is going to get lots of publicity and money over the holiday season. -
I just looked through the instructions, and I must say, there are a lot of advanced techniques utilized in such a small building! Clever use of the flag piece to make a thin white stripe above the front door. Thanks for sharing your creation with us!

Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 2 Discussion
ILikePi replied to DarthSion's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Agh, I keep forgetting to watch the episodes! I always watch Disney Channel as they always have new shows on Fridays (like today, where they had a new Wizards of Waverly Place and a new Suite Life on Deck). Oh well, I can always watch it on watchtheclonewars.com. The trailer was very interesting, can't wait to see the whole episode! -
I'm one of those people! I'll be happy to post lots of pics in January if I remember this thread.

That's unfortunate to hear. It's always sad to hear a fellow Eurobricks member leave, but there is more to life than LEGO, so I hope that you will still be happy. Hopefully you will return to this hobby in the future! Good luck!

ILikePi replied to simonjedi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yeah, I agree that it's not right to make a gun out of LEGO. LEGO is a toy, and a gun is certainly the exact opposite of a toy. But looking at the picture, the instructions manual with pictures of the LEGO gun and piece callouts on the desk clearly point out that he's just building with bricks. It seems to be this "standard pistol" from BrickGun: -
Wow! The two color dynamite piece is stunning! Were they specially made for that minifigure only? The female outlaw is lovely (), and that chaingun is so cool. Awesome work!

Awesome find Oky Wan! Hopefully this means that it'll be available in a few days!I'll try piecing together sections of the zoomed in box art to make a really large picture. EDIT: Click the picture for a huge version. Description: It seems like it's going to be $50 USD. This looks like a great deal! It includes lots of interesting accessories and details (like the "direction" sign)!
-
Can't wait for pics of them to be taken! And congrats to the winners of days two, three and four!
-
Great find ForceMaster! The new TIE pilot helmet looks great on it (but no so great on the AT-TE AT-AT pilot)! Much better than the old one IMO. It actually has a mouth print, too! Those new minifigs in the ARC-170 are spectacular! I love the different helmet prints, and it's good to know that the minifig heads are reversible! R4-P44 is looking interesting, too with the dark green and silver head! I can't wait to see even larger pictures!

BrickArms Chrome Packs Now Available!
ILikePi replied to the enigma that is badger's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
I love them all (heck, I'm a sucker for all chrome parts)! Unfortunately I won't be buying these as I need to conserve my LEGO budget for the new 2010 things (collectible minifigs!), but I always like to see new products from our favorite custom LEGO weapons maker! Wow, that's interesting! I actually thought that just normal plastic was used for the chromed items. -
Review: 3450 Statue of Liberty Sculpture
ILikePi replied to Inconspicuous's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for the review, Inky! There's so much sand green here! You'll never need any bricks of that color again if you buy this set. The build seems like it would be extremely boring, but the end result is spectacular! With the reference picture of the actual statue, it looks quite accurate. The face is marvelous! The use of jumper plates for a half-stud offset for the lips and eyelids is perfect. And I was just wondering, how many pages are there to the instructions? Good luck on helping your cousin friend sell this beauty! EDIT to reply to post below: Wow, that's a lot! -
On Black Friday the Valley Fair shopping center LEGO Store in Santa Clara, CA had hundreds of Winter Toy Shops stacked one on top of each other near the left window. Almost every person grabbed one. LEGO Stores should have a couple of them left if they didn't sell out on Black Friday...

This is what I came up with after 5-10 mins of MS Painting with as a "guide": Does anyone know how to make the black square border around it into a "clear" color like all the official Eurobricks emoticons? EDIT: Feel free to ask for "requests" for a certain emoticon and I'll see what I can do (provide a reference pic if possible). I want to test my face making skills.
