  1. Good review as always, Jim, and I have to agree with the general opinion. This set is just... eh, if I needed more Dark Azure panels and the price was right, I could buy it, but as a model? No thanks, I can make something better myself in less than half an hour Poor designer who had to make this, I assume he did his best given the parts he had to work with.
  2. And the 5x7 frame in Reddish Brown as well, that's interesting.
  3. Great review as always. I wonder, are there openable doors at all on the cabin? I was so sure I saw something about that at some point.
  4. I apologize to whoever I may insult as my suggestion leads to one less review But seeing as the pullbacks are always rather small and have a combined B-model, why not do both of them in one combined review? Both A-models, functions (or lack thereof) and impressions + combined B-model and its ditto. The pullbacks don't exactly make for a long review anyway.
  5. If you're not a strict purist, you could use the tan version with stud and just cut off the small stud part. For a purist way of doing it, yeah, not really any option.
  6. I was thinking about a Challenger tracked tractor, but they use black sprocket wheels. It could be a model inspired by it though.
  7. Given the new large sprocket wheels in the RC tracked racer, I'm wondering if a new big bulldozer might be coming soon.
  8. Avengers: Infinity War Pretty much went the way I expected, except for the ending. Didn't expect it to end the way it did. Pretty good movie though.
  9. It was good, worth the watch if you like this kind of movies.
  10. It borders on an obsession to me, but I always have to align pins so that the slots go parallell with liftarms. I also have to turn every liftarm, connector etc. so that the mold mark faces inward and doesn't show.
  11. Really good work there, impressive to be based only on the available parts in the set
  12. Lol, that's funny wonder why they did it like that, it can't possibly be a coincidence or a mistake, I assume their quality control would have picked it up although it's small.
  13. I still wish they would make that part with crossholes in that way, having the crossholes in all types of connectors be thicker and more robust rather than how they are, which IMO is too fragile and easily cracks over time (bush type). I really dislike using such parts.
  14. My thoughts assuming the 1H19 sets start with 42085 (what's up with 42084 again?), which would be logical unless TLG for some reason skips a bunch of the remaining 4208x numbers.
  15. I guess they could skip some numbers if they want to start at 42100 in 2020. It does sound a bit logical rather than doing 42084-96 or 85-97, assuming 2019 holds 13 sets like this year, which would let them start with 42100 rather than 42097/98. Also it would only be a few missing set numbers.
  16. I got my package with 42079 and 42080 yesterday and have built the forklift and I've been wondering why they used axle pins in place of regular black pins some places. It makes no sense to me, but oh well.
  17. I'm not really into art and have no understanding of art at all. I think most art in general is crap, if I was gonna have some kind of art for decoration, I'd almost wanna make it myself
  18. I watched Independence Day: Resurgence in the movies when it was released over here. I thought it was a good movie, althought I never watched the original and can't compare the two. Just saying this in its defence as I read the above comment about it as it being trash
  19. Thanks for your effort making these detailed reviews, Jim. Got around to order this and the forklift today, there shall be building!
  20. Personally I don't like the idea of having to use my phone with an app to control a model. Mostly because I like physical controls over digital ones on a screen, but I greatly prefer an actual controller of some sorts like PF has rather than "virtual" operating on a touch screen.
  21. They should rather decrease the steps in the building instructions if they really want to save paper
  22. If the option is motorized outriggers that extend and retract painfully slowly, I'd rather have manual outriggers, lol.
