Heroica RPG - Quest #11: A Matter of Principle

QM Note: Please be more specific. -
I'm not sure if this has been commented on yet, but I am thoroughly enjoying your enemies stats Jebediahs. They all seem quite fitting, I wish I had been more creative in my battles, but we all learn something.

"Thou art a fool, can thou not see that thou holdest the very key to the plague's survival. That tome thou carrys is the last of it's kind, thou may have the boy and his items but give us the manuscript, we shall ensure that none other shall ever see the contents of its pages, there is none more worthy than the Order of the Crimson Crown." -

"We have ensured within our possession the items the boy carried with him, surely thou must see that for thee to turn over such items to the Guild of Invision would release upon this land a suffering more painful than it already has seen." -

"By Guild, I take it thou meanst the villains who masquerade themselves as alchemical tyrants. My men have been following thine every move, we know that thou dost also seek that which shall bring upon this land death and destruction. This boy has acted in league with the blaggards, he is as guilty as they and shall thus be brought to justice. If you've any wish to cleanse thy own hands in this matter, then impart to us the rest of the objects thy quest hath yielded." -

The cowled spokesman retorts, "I would speak to someone of more noble countenance, not some backwoods renegade feigning chivalry and certainly not that insideous looking individual sporting yonder fowl upon his pate." The cloaked gentleman nods at Sir Glorfindel's explanation, "Ah, so you do indeed come from that hallowed hall. Tell me what need have you of the boy, my order has sought long and hard for him and would not so easily give him up." -

The party enters the well lit spacious crypt. Skulls adorn the cavern walls and in one corner a tear stained boy sits huddled with his back against a rock face. As the heroes enter the cavern a smoke bomb goes off in the middle of the room. As the smoke clears, 5 astute and well armed figures appear between the Party and the boy. The centermost figure, his eyes darting from one hero to the next, addresses the Party. “By what authority and for what purpose dost thee appear in these sacred tombs? Speak quickly ere we end thy foolish and impertinent lives.” What will the Party do? -

The party walks cautiously onward, Atramor searching for traps along the way. Ahead the Party sees a glow of torches and hears a faint sobbing. Shall the Party continue? -

The Party comes to a three way split. Atramor's compass points straight ahead. Shall the Party go left, right, or straight? -
Yes, that was an error on my part, I had the scene ready and had already taken pictures when I remembered I needed to put the hat in, so I retook photos of the pre-battle set, but forgot to put the hat in the battle photo and I was too lazy to set that scene back up The order wasn't that big of a deal as long as you went to Mandrel's last so you could get the clue. I'll say more about the behind the scenes goings on when you guys finish up the quest.

"Finnegan give that master of yers a telephone pole, maybe he can hit something with it. Those of ya in danger of losin' the rest of your strength, drink a potion if you've got one. Namyrra, Althior, and I will take care of these thugs. Nammyrra that axeman is weak, let me quickly end him with my crossbow, the real danger is that chain wieldin' wench. If both you and Althior use one of yer darkness spells, we'll have her on the run soon enough." With that Skrall targets Bandit (Axe) fro the back row Battle Order: Dyric Arasmyth Namyrra Skrall Althior Bob OOC: Just a few things, my weapon was poisoned, so the Bandit (Axe) should now be poisoned and Namyrra's strike should have done 60 damage since she rolled a great spell and darkness is effective against humanoids. -

With a majority reached, the Party heads down the right passage. A lit torch lights the way as the Party is faced with another decision, a second passage leads off to the left. Altior glances at his compass and sees that the needle points down the left hand path. Shall the Party continue straight or go left? -
Another option is to include the picture in your first line with your text, at least until you get 10 posts then you can add the third line. As far as deep linking the picture either use the attach picture option on the editor or surround the link with {img}{/img} with the { swithced to [ Hope this helps, can't wait to see what a Sargassan looks like.

Miraculously, Atramor's compass would have worked if he had not slammed it against the wall points unwaveringly to the right. -

With Atramor's quick jolt of inspiration, The Party quickly bids goodbye to Mandrel and heads toward the used bookshop. Evening is drawing near and the bookstore is dark, however the Party finds the door of the shop unlocked and the store apparently unoccupied. Hesitantly the Party enters the back storeroom. Thanks all, for the input thus far. I've got LDD designs for 2 different vultures, a fox, and a crocodile, but I want to iron out their poses and give them a little bit more life before I post them. I generally start with the head, the most recognizable feature, and then work my way down trying to stick to a singular color scheme. A turkey would be a challange but hopefully not terribly difficult. Challenge accepted.

So I built a few of these guys in the past and decided to start doing some more. They're influenced by Disney's Robin Hood and Jordan Schwartz's anthropomorphic pirate figures. Let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions for further designs. The last one was my first that kicked it all off about a year ago. Brickshelf Folder when moderated. C&C welcome.

My only suggestion is to take everything that has been said into consideration and remember carefully everything you have seen thus far.

To those in Quest 11, I like giving you free reign to go anywhere, but I will let you know that you will not be able to access either the Heroica Library or Fort Bonaparte, all the clues necessary to solve the quest have been given and I think letting you run around in circles chasing down rabbit trails would be a disservice to you and may keep you from being able to participate in any of the newer quests that have been posted, thus the reason for me telling you this in advance.

"Mandrel got turban from overseas in Ennon, labor cheaper there. Haberdashers in port too expensive."
