If you are in the front row that is. If the hero is in the back row, then it's 20 divided by 2 and then minus the 8 so: (20/2)-8 = 2 damage taken.

Heroica RPG - Quest #40: The Strivvian Job

"Most people don't go buryin' their keys Ratabor." Skrall lifts up the pot and looks underneath. -

Waterbrick Down replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Very well then, watch out Ratabor," Skrall rams his shoulder into the door. "Ms. Lyssa, perhaps ya want to get that potted plant to grow us some cover once we get inside." -

Skrall knocks on the door expecting no one to answer, "Well, do we have the fine Ms. Lyssa blow the door down, or shall I give it the ol' fashioned shove?" -
Heroica RPG - Quest #40: The Strivvian Job
Waterbrick Down replied to Scubacarrot's topic in The Heroica Archive
Taking care to knock over the "Keep Out" signs, Skrall pries off the boards covering the door and tries the latch. "Warehouses, Archeologists, abandoned homes... We're doin' more breakin' and enterin' than the average rogue." -
Ragnarök Now - Day Four

Alright, thank you for that. Unfortunately this is what the argument comes down to: why was your night 2 action not successful? Some people will choose to believe that it is becuase you are lying about it and you're a scum, while other people will choose to believe that you're telling the truth and there must be some strange explanation for it that will become clear in the end. I really don't know where I stand on it for the moment anymore, so I'll guess I'll wait and see what Erik has for the day, in addition to reviewing more of the past statements. -

While I would also like to hear from Erik, I would like some clarification as to why Finn's action was supposedly unsuccessful on Night 2. -

While there is quite a bit that could be said, my main problem I have is this: Technically speaking from what we have discussed thus far, it has been proposed that Bergulf actually received the correct result, but it was only because there was a tailor or a framer involved, which I assume is what you are actually being accused of. So basically you're claiming that you and Bergulf were woozy because someone else targetted him on Night 2? Yes, but that means that anyone who targetted Bergulf that night should have gotten a woozy result (or by your logic an unsuccessful result) including the watcher and from my understanding this isn't the case. I believe the theory has already surfaced that Gerrid could have been serving as a meat-shield for multiple scum partners, plus whose to say that you didn't place a rabbit trail vote on Gerrid and when Hervi's assault against Dragmall didn't work he turned it into a meat-shield strategy? From my recollection the entirity of that day was spent pretty much on that argument between Hervi and Dragmall. In fact the only thing that stood out to me as weird at the time, was your issue with Gerrid. Unless, as has already been brought up, you knew you'd be outed by the watcher and wanted to be him to the punch.Honestly, your role-claim doesn't sit well with me... -
Oh yeh, now this is the live or die fighting I've been waiting for.

I think maybe some of the trepidation by Sveinn is the possibility of a third party. Now honestly, our job is to eliminate the Servants of Loki so perhaps we shouldn't be too worried about them (should they exist) but we still need to be careful with how much information we give out. -

Hervi never said that Hephaestos confused things, that was Vulcan. According to Hervi Hephaestos is supposed to be an inventor, and Cranebeinn ,who is speaking for the supposed inventor, says that he was blocked last night. -

"You keep at it, I'll return to the front door. We don't exactly want any unexpected visitors thinkin' we're robbin' the place." Skrall returns to the front of the house. -

"Either this Mortimor doesn't pay his maid very well, or our two black and brown dressed fellows were tryin' to find somethin' in here. Perhaps one of ya more learned chaps should take a look at those papers." Skrall returns to the entrance of the house and looks out to see if anyone is watching the house. -

So if the inventor was blocked who blocked him? Is anyone in contact with this Mercury fellow that Hervi mentioned? If Mercury knew the identitiy of Hephaestus, I can't see a fellow townie blocking another townie. -

I agree that there is much to analyze and most of it will be spent trying to determine how much Hervi lied about. While I hope we can get back to feasting, I have a feeling with their numbers reduced by so many, it will be that much harder to sniff out the last scum that remain among us. But I agree, input from all persons will be crucial as the easiest thing for a scum to do at this point would be to lurk in the shadows and hide among our quieter members. -
Wardens can't use staves.

I agree it is a fitting conclusion. Dastan was epic as well and this is on that same scale, well done.

I can see Scuba's point, I often search alphabetically because I can't remember the exact quest number, but if it's easier for you... On another note. Sandy, .

No, I meant hero monologues, we all know the main boss gets their own monologue.

Anyone feel like doing a compilation of boss battle heroic monologues?

Rule #1 of QMing always build as many sets as possible before hand. But seriously, I think he mentioned that he had to rebuild everything due to camera issues so the pause is understandable.
