  1. Sorry folks, trying to pull everything from private together in this new server after-life is rather difficult. So yes, I am the broadsword killer as some of you know and I am actually the vigilante. After taking everything into account, it is my understanding that Cranebeinn gave a spear to Gofraid on night 2 and that is why he was seen that night being able to target someone. At that point I knew I needed to find someone to trust, because I was automatically going to be accused of being a serial killer as soon as I popped my head above water. Thankfully the person I chose to contact turned out to be the protector who was in contact with a blocker (supposedly town). Since that point I've been working with the town block behind the scenes taking out the scum one by one. Last night the protector and I had figured out that Dagrun had to be the last of the scum, so I'm all set to get things over with and finish off the servants when Dagrun comes and contacts me. Immediately I go into panic mode, I've almost secured the town its victory and here comes the last scum going to convert me. I'm trying to figure out how they know I'm the broadsword killer, to this day I still don't know maybe it's part of the conversion process or something, but I try and play stupid. At this point, I figure it's hopeless and I might as well start planning with them, I try one last shot and get this little gem. I don't think anything of it because apparently the conversion is a two night process and Dagrun had started it the night before as has already been testified, so I was done for. I go on to blab all the townie roles and plan on killing Dragmall and having someone else kill the protector. Then this comes up: At this point I become really suspicious of her having more than 1 other fellow scum contributer. Hope Springs Forth, the conversion isn't automatic and they have to have someone else target me to finish it off! Now all I have to do is figure out who's going to be doing the converting and have them blocked. From that point on it becomes a giant game of WIFOM, me playing along that I had joined their side and trying to get a definite on who was going to perform what action that night. At long last I make the claim that the tracker is going to be watching Petrus that night. This forces Dagrun's hand as they can't afford for Petrus to be tracked killing someone else. I get the confirmation. And that was the end of it, until a little bit before the end of the night. Dagrun came running back to me, obviouslly someone had made her worried things weren't going as well as she thought they were. I don't know what happened after that. I mummed up so as not to continue our game of WIFOM just in case she could still change her action as apparently she had figured out the double cross and the night happened like it did. My guess is the conversion was locked in and she knew she was going to be killed, whatever she did after that I'm in the dark on.
  2. Here here, as much as I wish we're servin' up Patrekr's head next (no offense ya tyrant), we've got a real scummy to finish off.
  3. "Ms. Nyx, why don't we give this Sufferin' fellow another introduction to pain?" Skrall releases a shot from his Heavy Crossbow again from the back row.
  4. OoC: How was Rufindel knocked out? Does the fragile effect affect being poisoned? Also, does the afraid effect affect the power of ranged attacks? Now on level with the rest of his Party, Skrall unholstering his Hunter's Crossbow fires a second shot at the Suffering from the back row. He glances somewhat uncomfortably at the floating aparition, "This is why one needs one of those gem infused weapons."
  5. Just wait, I'm hoping to add something to my next quest that will take it to a whole new level.
  6. Now you see why I was the bane of Zepher's quests. Seriously though, I've toyed with the idea of trying to figure out how to write a program that can predict battle results if given the correct inputs. Or on the flipside, generate enemy stats for a given Party group. So I'm sure running a simple battle round wouldn't be too hard for it.
  7. Actually you are partially right in noting the error. The Heavy Crossbow is WP 8, my hunter's quiver gives me a +2 WP bonus when using a bow or crossbow, and since it's a critical hit my WP doubles. Thus (8+2)x2=20 + Level (21) = 41 damage
  8. Yes there is no rule against this. However it is looked down upon if you lend you equimpent to another player, restart, and have them give everything back to your new character.
  9. 1. Elphaba comes to Eubric generally around the month of November and I believe May?? 2. It really varies. Amethysts are some of the most valuable gems as they allow you to be effective versus humanoid enemies (the most common in Eubric). After that it becomes a game of figuring out which elements counteract each other and which ones give you the best advantage. Take Pie's Ratsbane for example, it is imbued with fire, ice, wind, and earth and thus does quadruple damage to Vermin, Beasts, and Plants, double damage to Icy and Electric Monsters, and is ineffective against Mechanical and Rock Monsters. It's all a balancing act. 3. Whenever you complete a quest for a certain faction, your reputation increases, consequently you lose any gained reputation you had with the faction's rivals. Thus if you have good reputation with the Hinckwells and you complete a quest for the Shadeaux, you gain good reputation with the Shadeaux and lose your good reputation with the Hinckwells. On an unrelated issue, would using a Health Core on an Undead monster kill it?
  10. @Palathadric, yes "nurturing" removes all negative effects.

Yep. There's a reason for it...

I was about to comment on the same thing... I absolutely LOVE your Orc Superhero(?) minifig... I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who's tired of Orcs always being portrayed as bad guys (I haven't posted anything with them yet, but I have a fair number of Orcs serving in the military of the nation that comes closest to being a paragon of virtue in my setting).

  13. I agree, Vote: Beorn (Bob)
  14. No, that is my point. If you were a servant of Loki you would have heard from your buddy Hervi that Bergulf was Artemis. Reading through your defense, I certainly do not see the raging back-lashing scum I would have thought had we caught you. Thank you for your even-keeled response, indeed up until Dragmall's call for you to be lynched since you remained to be verified, I had thought you to be a loyal Einjahr, even if you were an over-pressing tyrant in our past life. Thus I will unvote: Patrekr the Red (Palathadric) Now don't we have anything that could be considered concrete evidence? We still have 2 issues that in my mind keep getting looked over: 1. The role-cop got a result of protector on Snorta who has claimed vanilla. Even if you throw this Prankster and his "woozy" making results in, I'm still don't think it makes sense. If anything the role-cop should have gotten something like "you 'think' he's a vanilla" if Snorta is telling the truth, which for the moment I believe. I seriously think we need to consider this role-cop. For start, we know we already had a legitimate investigator, why have a second? I've been listening in on the grape-vine and it appears that we don't have 2 cases of people being blocked which makes me think that either Hervi or Sigmund was their blocker. If this is the case than there is a 50/50 chance that the role-blocker is lying about Hervi having a sort of conversion action. Finally there is this whole "woozy" protector result on Snorta issue. 2. Apparently on night 2 there were 3 people blocked, or someone is lying about who they targeted. Why aren't we pursuing this either?
  15. See this is where I have the problem, he was the second person to draw our attention to Gerrid on Day 2 right after Finn, and on day 2 after Hervi brought forth his play on Artemis, he (Patrekr's) voted against Bergulf as if he didn't know that Bergulf was indeed Artemis. Now of course all of this could be chalked up to a good facade, but I guess we'll soon see. Due to the fact that he's one of the few to be somewhat confrimed by Dragmall and we need to get to the bottom of that list, I will Vote: Patrekr (Palathadric).
  16. Also, it should be taken into account that there have been 4 accounts for wooziness thus far, the protector, the role-cop, Finn, and Bergulf, which would mean 4 conversions which seems a bit much to me.
  17. Skrall slides down the ladder, before reaching the bottom he whips out his Heavy Crossbow and fires off a shot at Painful looking statue from the back row. "Perhaps Ms. Ellaria best be healing up Atramor, as to avoid his falling from his ailments."
  18. Alright so the point I'm getting caught up on is the claim of 3 blocked individuals on night 3. -Cranebeinn claims to have been blocked when targetting Wilhalm. -Finn claims to have been blocked on that night as well and if my understanding is correct from everything going on behind the scenes it was by the town blocker, -Finally Dragmall knows other individual whom the scum blocked on night 3, as do I. Unless we actually have 3 blockers (not impossible, but unlikely) someone is lying. Bulletproof vest from my understanding vary in their complexity. Sometimes they may be passed from one player to another other times not, sometimes they are only good for 1 night other times they last for the entirity of a battle. If the vest is from an inventor, it is usually only usable for one night of the wearer's choice. The fact that he gave Finn a vest to me show that at least for the first night and even the second, he was on the side of the town, as no scum would probably pass on the opportunity to give their team an advantage, as for the further nights, I have a feeling most of this is conjecture about a conversion without any substantial proof.
  19. Welcome to quest 19, except more enemies kept coming whether or not we had killed the ealier ones.
  20. Skrall climbs up the ladder. Leaning up against a wall so he can have a good view of the door he waits for Purple and his men to return.
  21. No problem, you'll have to forgive me though because it is difficult to format recall the exact statements: While Dragmall might have been convinced earlier on, I was not and had had lingering suspicions against Finn from nearly the beginning of this ordeal as can be attested by others in private conversations. When Dragmall presented his case, this verified my previous suspicions against Finn, especially the point about his being an unsuccesful replacement investigator. As we discussed the issue further during the day thread, I was pursuaded that his claim was plausible and thus backed off to some degree. Still not convinced 100% but placated for the time being. Concerning Eric, I seem to remember there being many individuals that wanted him to make some comments and rightly so, including yourself. As has already been discussed, the meatshield theory came up after my comment and considering how easy it could have been for the scum to stop the lynch against Gerrid, I considered it unlikely and thus thought at the time that the voting record was something significant to inspect. While Finn and Gofraid might have begun the initial vote against Gerrid, at the time, my analysis of the situation was that Hervi had swinged the town around into voting for him, his habbit of doing that was indeed noted by a few of his accusers. In retrospect it is now easy to decipher what Hervi was doing in keeping Artemis alive over Gofraid, however during the time of that confusion it seemed much more probable to me that the scum would simply block Gofraid, kill Artemis (the one that could condemn them and eventually did), and then deal with Gofraid later. Let me know if you would like some more clarification on any of these points. Moving on, I can't say I'm privy to everything that is going on backstage and I do indeed hope for a little more transparency today. Yes I know that we need to be careful with determining what info the scum have and what they don't, but I believe we need to balance this with the consideration that many heads working towards a problem are generally better than 1 or 2 working in private. Concerning last night, I am indeed confused as to why Finn was killed last night. He himself claimed to not have inherrited the role of the investigator, so unless the scum thought he was lying I'm left scratching my head, though this does clear some of his statements. Mainly that he did target Bergulf and that he was "woozy". Thus it would appear that anyone who targets the person that was targetted by this Prankster would feel "woozy".
  22. "Well I'd suggest a holy bomb or somethin' fer a little more light, but it seems like we're down a magnifyin' glass anyways so it wouldn't do us any good. I suppose this place is deserted enough, might just setup a little camp fer ourselves till Purple and his crew show up."
  23. "Huh, everythin' seems fine this time round, at least we didn't all go up in smoke that time."
  24. "Perhaps Ms. Elpis migth be able to do somethin' about that then, bein' a druid and all."
  25. Skrall steadies the witch, "Sheesh... I don't think even a remedy is goin' heal those up. Best give it some time." "Anybody got a magnifyin' glass? If so take a peak at the bottom of those statues."
