  1. True but in order to receive those free hits the monsters would have to go through the battle order twice. Which if there is that many of them and at that high of a level, then you are seriously out-gunned.
  2. Actually if you look at some of the shields they are unfair. Shamaans for example can have a horrible time if they are dealing with poisoned enemies and mages random elemental shields sometimes mean their attacks will be unfortuantely ineffective.
  3. No dinner kittens during mafia heroica. I feel for your Party guys, but I do think its neat that we have finally seen an example in which high SP can be balanced without creating enemies that merely ignore SP.
  4. Skrall gazes at the ghost, with the hood wrapped around his head the spectre no longer seemed as intimidating. "Tell me, what was this Enemy like?"
  5. Nothing just keep wallowing in your scummy smugness as it is damning enough. Most of what you've said already has been of such a defeatist attitude that I'm surprised no one is calling you out on it. For instance: What sort of town logic is this. Let him win, you have got to be kidding me. I have personally killed 3 scum and helped seal the lynches of two others when we were down to the wire, you Snorta? Well guess what? I'm not going to just let you win.
  6. And your smugness is so thick dude.
  7. Skrall dons the hood twirling his dabloon between his fingers. "Tell me spook, who is this god Pseudos that you serve and why was his temple left in such disaray and abandonment?"
  8. My blab has been "confined" to Sveinn, Dragmall, and yourself. The fact that you were blocked last night and that you had prior knowledge of my role seems to confirm to me that you are scum as opposed to both Sveinn and Dragmall who I have worked with closely. Interestingly enough while I might have had my suspicions about Dragmall being some sort of master mind scum, the only other person besides Dragrun who asked me privately to kill Dragmall was you, Snorta. I can't speak for the results of the role-cop, that's Dragmall's territory. But we know that he was a scum and obviously tried to throw us off the trail with you when he easily could have told the truth and kept his head. It's a "terrible idea" to opperate under a single assumption, but you don't need to do that since you know you're the last scum and your willing to play along with this reasoning just as long as it eliminate the town's hope of getting rid of you.I'm actually finding it ironic that I'm the one being accused of being a serial killer when it was you who first claimed the role, Hervi himself touted his suspicion of you of being the serial killer. Now honestly, we know Hervi was a smart chap, would he really believe that that was true? Or, was he in fact trying to shelter his fellow scum from suspicion later on. In fact your entire argument against Hervi is starting to look like an attempt to keep up appearances. We all know how combative you can be Snorta, in fact I would even more suspicious if you weren't being so ornery, but my philosophy from earlier still holds. When sniffing out scum you look for those who are acting contrary to their normal behavior, if you've eliminated those suspects then you move onto those who are acting just like the status quo for that is relatively simple for a scum to pull off, only after checking those individuals off the list do you turn to those who are either true townies or the most ingenious scum and they are the ones who have improved and grown from their experiences from past lives. You mam have not done that, you have held constant and your lack of change towards the better is what gives your facade away.
  9. So even as a townie I should lie just to keep my neck safe? No, I cannot and I will not, especially for a smug scum like yourself. You just find it easier to paint me as some sort of serial killer rather than looking at the things that point towards the contrary. The one thing that your entire assumption is based upon is Gofraid, place that aside and look at my involvement thus far, look at the scum I have brought to justice with my sword, look at the suspicions I have harbored and confided in confidence to those among you. I will not back down from the good I have given this town as its vigilante and I will certainly not stoop to lies to fit your scummy painting of me, Snorta. Besides my points still stand, how did Dragrun know of my killing ability when only yourself, Sveinn, and Dragmall were the only ones privvy to that knowledge? Why did Beorn label you as having some sort of protecting role when it clearly would have been simpler to tell the truth to Dragmall and say you were a vanilla? Why was there no scum kill last night and it was you that was blocked?
  10. I'd be glad to, I'll get her put together tonight.
  11. Alright, sorry folks I've been terribly busy, no excuse when we're supposed to be killing off these blasted servants but it couldn't be helped. Anyways to start off with... By Odin's codpiece What happened last night? I get it that apparently Patrekr eliminated two of our most useful allies, but I was fully expecting this entire thing to be over. I out of everyone here was the most convinced that Petrus was scum, to me there was no inkling that she wasn't and I've got to give credit to Dragrun for that sort of bluff. However the question is validly raised why are we still here? Obviously our work isn't done but there's not a lot of places left to look. I've read through your thoughts today and think that while they might be rightfully valid, you are operating on one mere assumption, mainly that I'm some sort of serial killer. I never lied. I've always been the Town Vigilante. I was killing servants long before I was ever contacted by Dragmall or ever got involved in his town block. You can stop and think about it, but why did I make myself known to Sveinn? Why bring that attention to myself? Why go about killing servants when they would provide me (if I was a serial killer) with the best chance of eliminating more townies as long as I kept my head out of their sights. Better yet, why not try and get in touch with them? Certainly there had to be a chance if I had claimed to Hervi, but know I went to who I thought was a townie not a scum and the Protector at that. With that knowledge why not eliminate him and give myself a better chance? Simple, because there was no need to as the Town Vigilante. Now I have no idea what was up with Gofraid and don't understand why Odin chose to reveal the things that he did, but that doesn't mean I should deny who I am just to avoid a finger being pointed at me. Looking back I don't know why Dragrun did the thing she did, it was pretty gutsy dropping a living townie's name as her scum partner and looking back I'm guessing she was probably trying to at least by another day for herself as apparently someone on the inside told her that she was going to be killed that night by me. Which brings me to my suspicions of where we now stand. As far as I can see it there should only be 1 scum left, I mean seriously isn't 7 enough? 8 would be cruel, though I dread to think of that possibility. Carl is our trusted tracker, Sveinn our protector, Dragmall our blocker, me the vigilante, Patrekr some sort of townie killing axe owner, leaving only 2 as potential suspects assuming that these power roles are telling the truth. I agree with the logic that Wilhalm has been really quiet as of late (as expected), something we wouldn't expect from a scum faction that has to be holding on for dear life here at the end, and unless he was trying to not attract attention to himself on night 5 for some reason, I can't picture him being scum. But, stranger things have happened. That leaves me with one candidate, Snorta. From early on there were only two individuals who were aware of my status as the vigilante. Sveinn as I deemed him townie since he had begged for the final votes that ended up lynching the scum Gerrid on day 2 and Snorta since he had seemed so obviously set against Hervi from early on. These two were the only ones who knew my role from early on in this affair. At some point Sveinn told Dragmall of my existence, though I'm not sure when, that aside, when I look back over my discourse with Dragrun that started off this whole thing that ended up getting Petrus lynched, I find this. How in the world did Dragrun know I could kill? There was no mention at all of my role in the day thread and up until this point only 3 people knew about me, the protector, the blocker, and a claimed vanilla. Now I don't know about you but if I had to guess under which claim a scum was hiding I would pick the vanilla. Now this same individual was apparently role-copped by a now known scum. Now I would have thought that the easiest thing for a scum to do was tell the truth, if someone is a vanilla you say that they are a vanilla other wise it's going to come back and bite you in the butt later. But no, he doesn't do that, he claims that this person is supposed to have some sort of protecting action. Why did he do that? Was it because his scummy buddy needed an alibi should he be caught targeting someone at night? Turning to this persons overall attitude during this entire affair, I have spent much time in contemplation. Over my many years on the battle field it has struck me that those individuals who spend the most time with one weapon tend to increase in their proficiency and ability with that weapon. However he who constantly switches back and forth between a variety of weapons has a much more difficult time becoming adept at handling that role and more often than improving tends to adapt their style with one weapon to another. Now this is all talk of strategy and the inner workings of the tacticians brains but I believe it where we must delve if we are to uncover the secrets of how we operate. Now metaphor aside I believe this individual is scum mainly because she shows lack of improvement in her art. If you are a loyal Einjahr over time you learn your lessons and you abilities, style, talents, and contributions as a part of this town evolve and grow. Those that are wicked among us never see this opportunity, they are left with attempting to mimic their past performances trying their best to resemble an image they believe will serve as a satisfactory facade to the outside world. They cannot mimic something they have not experienced mainly: improvement. As many of you have noted, this individual has constantly been bickering, fighting, and so resembling their strategies and faults of old that they appear to be just that. A picture of the person they used to be, however that picture is deceiving it is not living it is not growing and developing, it is dead and is only being used to mask that which it hides, the visage of a horrible monster that even now attempts to bring this gathering to a horrific end. Time and time again I have seen this played out, as many of you can attest to. The late Canute being a prime example of this and the one in a far off tale known as Flipz. In a phrase, it is their lack of improvement that reveals that they are not trying to grow, but merely attempting to assuage us with their resemblance of a person we knew in times past. Philosophy aside, let us turn to the most compelling of all the things that point toward the last of the scum that dwell among us, mainly that this individual was blocked last night and there was no scum kill. To me it is a pretty straightforward and expected strategy and I think it is to all of you, that when there is no scum kill and there has been a successful block against an individual that has proven most unhelpful and combative that we lynch them. It's almost as up well known as the point of lynching all liars and I feel that it is basic mafia Ragnarok strategy here. We have resigned ourselves to petty squabbles about third factions, scum leaders that need to eliminate or convert each other, and a whole slew of other baloney for too long. Let's stick to the tried and true and put an end to this madness. What say you? I know what I have to say, vote: Snorta Carrotface (Scubacarrot)
  12. Skrall not saying anything leans his back against the wall and closes his eyes. "Don't touch anythin' else please."
  13. Skrall keeps the statue pinned down with several more bolts this time with his Hunter's Crossbow from the back row. "Ms. Nyx, while we're on the rest of this trip, you have my permission to smash any statue you see before it has a chance of attackin' us."
  14. Fixed. You didn't see anything.
  15. Skrall's skin crawls as he watches Boomingham freeze in mid-swing and the ghost continue it attack, "Right, now listen to Atramor. We need to move fast and efficiently, can't afford to lose too many more of ya. Rogue, ya've got the advantage of seein' how that thing works up front, just give a shout when ya want us." Skrall fires off another bolt with the heavy crossbow at the crumbling statue from the back row, hopefully the monster's stoney exterior wouldn't ruin too many of the bolts.
  16. The torso is actually from the Pirates of the Caribbean. Yes, that is supposed to be a staff for a mage, I've got a few older faces so I'll give them a shot as well. A lot of information about Heroica's history and geography can be found in the Library topic. Currently there has not been very much development done for Dwarves which gives quite a bit of freedom to players who choose to use that race for their character. My hope was to get sign-ups going by the end of November, but with the influx of quests being offered I might consider pushing that back. While it is not a necessity to have any Dwarves attend the quest, it would be awesome if some did! The quest will probably be aimed at players between level 5-15 and will be the start of a trilogy of quests dealing mainly with Dwarves on both Uland and in the High Kingdoms.
  17. Any idea on what you'd like for the geography of her homeland? I've gone more with a cold/mountain feel, but you might want something a little different and I'm willing to give multiple shots at it. Here is Amma, she is portrayed as a frost mage, mainly due to spending so much time around the snow and ice of her homeland.
  18. OoC: How am I doing 2x damage, apart from my favored multiplier? Not that I'm complaining. "I'll keep the hunk of metal pinned down, finish off the oogly boogly!" Skrall reloads his crossbow, sighting in on the place between the statue's knee joint with his Heavy Crossbow from the back row.
  19. Looking at everything, to me it is obvious that Petrus is scum, I was the one who spent so much time under that assumption with Dragrun. Canute was under my suspcions earlier in the game as well as Petrus due to their somewhat hesitant and quiet nature (aside from the scuffle with Hervi earlier on), however I can understand the reasoning for Canute acting like that as his power is quite an important one to keep discreet. However falling back onto my original suspicions of Canute would mean distrusting everything Dragmall has done thus far and right now I can't bring myself to opperate under that assumption. I get the point that it's best to make sure we cover all of our bases just in case and considering that we have a team win style to depend on, sacrificing Canute seems like it might just solve our problem. I'm still not sure yet...
  20. OoC: Are the afraid and knock back effects cumulative? I thought both just placed the enemy in the back row. "'If it ain't made of sinew and bone, it should be left alone' is my motto and I'm stickin' to it." Skrall reloads his Heavy Crossbow and fires another bolt into the statue from the back row.
  21. Actions as requested: Night 1: Killed Jormund (He was wishy washy with his statements) Night 2: Killed Mursi (I thought he and Hervi were in league together and figured if Hervi was indeed scum he would slip up with all the lies he had going) Night 3: Killed Sigmund (He was a lurker) Night 4: Killed Erik (Mainly to eliminate suspects for scum) Night 5: Killed Dragrun (She admitted to being scum) As Sveinn can attest I claimed to him on Day 3 since he had worked so hard to get Gerrid lynched so I was pretty sure he was a loyal Einjahr and from that point on I was working with the town block. The only roles I was aware of were Dragmall's and Sveinn's, Carl and Canute I ventured a guess at since their roles had been mentioned in private. Unless Dragrun was trying to pull some sort of hair-brained last minute bluff, I know that you are scum Petrus. I spent a whole day and a 1/2 trying to get your final set of night actions. Time and time again Dragrun went to check on what her team-mates thought, until finally she blabbed and only too late did she and you figure out that you had been bested. You're pulling at straws here at the end because it's all you have left. Vote: Petrus (Pandora) I'll raise a glass of manly mead to that Dragmall. Speaking of which where's that ale dog?!
  22. They might have had one, but then there's stuff like this.
  23. There's 5 whole pages of stuff like that, I'm telling you it was like WIFOM on steroids. Me trying to give her pseudo-information to keep her talking and then trying to figure out what information she was giving me that wasn't BS.
  24. Dragrun had claimed to have a 1-shot tracking action, we knew the claimed inventor hadn't claimed to have given it to her and we knew that there already was a claimed tracker. Our best guess was that she was the Jack-of-all-trades, her hesitancy to vote for Beorn yesterday confirmed that for us.
  25. "I'm on it yer Majesty." Skrall reloads a bolt into his Heavy Crossbow and fires off the round at Suffering from the back row.
