  1. And then you’d have haters complaining about a piece of flexible plastic that’s easily scratched or is frosted instead of clear or where are the parts for the door windows too. And why don’t they exist on the “UCS” supercars. It’s a no win scenario. Just accept if you want a windscreen and bodywork with zero holes you get a creator model or build one yourself using System bricks. As to why TLG build cars in Technic because there’s a market for it. I’m sure there’s some customers that would buy a Technic model but wouldn’t buy a System model as Technic seems more “grown up”
  2. Since when has a Technic model had a windscreen ?
  3. Yes the tops of the wheels are exposed on the real car. https://www.topgear.com/car-news/motorsport/peugeot-9x8-le-mans-hypercar-does-without-rear-wing picture 3 on the link
  4. Ah, I thought you meant another car in this colour scheme and not just any Technic model. Good to see those shocks on other models, hopefully it’ll bring the price down a bit. The Peugeot has a mix of push rod on the front and pull rod on the rear. But I’m not expecting TLG will replicate this
  5. @artemisovsky the model is just following the launch colours of the real car. There would just have been an agreement between Peugeot and TLG as to what to use. So using this combination again in the future is unlikely to happen.
  6. I’m hoping for another non-car competition. The shrink one sounds interesting but I’ll wait to see @Jim’s rules before I get my thinking cap on. One of the reasons I don’t like some of the competitions on here is that by default those who make “licenced” / copies of real vehicles normally score higher than fresh ideas
  7. We did a car competition where it had to be of the same scale and size to fit the car transporter. TC18 from 2020
  8. You’ve shot yourself in the foot by showing us that as it looks like a great model and would have received a lot of votes
  9. Definitely looks dark grey with black and lime splitter and air box to me. what do we think for functions? Just steering suspension and a fake engine ? No gearbox Can’t find the photo on Facebook but a few cropping up on Instagram via the usual #tag
  10. I think the Peugeot is dark grey with lime and black accents (splitter, diffuser), which was also the launch colour scheme for the car I think what’s the price point of this ? Is this continuing from the RSR and GTE and so will be an empty shell?
  11. See my post from Tuesday that lists all the past contests apart from TC23 & 24
  12. 10: 10 5: 6 1: 4 9: 3 11: 2 7: 1 Some great entries
  13. The problem I see with offering both downscaling and upscaling a model is that I think upscaling and adding functions will win by default on this forum. As everyone knows the more functions the better especially if they’re powered or pneumatic 😉
  14. For the shrinkage competition I’d go for a %age of the original either in number of parts or volume box. If you pick one size volume box it’ll create different challenges depending upon your starting model.
  15. I’ve added TC23 to the master excel sheet and prepped for TC24 too
  16. @Jim sorry to dig up an old topic but I’m just updating the master tracker. You haven’t got a bug in your software. 39 people voted, they used the old F1 scoring which means they ranked 6 people and there were only 6 entrants so each entrant was scored by each voter.
  17. Here you go everyone, only contains data up to TC22 because that’s when me and @Thirdwigg created this, but is does clearly show some spring and summer competitions over the years.
  18. I’ll dig out the excel sheet that me and @Thirdwigg made to summarise the contests. literally typed this at the same time! I’ll look for the excel tomorrow
  19. Depends on what the competition is @Jim. I really tried for the current space competition and things just ran away. Hoping to be involved with whatever is next.
  20. What’s the planned release date for the Yamaha bike? Also any ideas what that then theoretically means for leaked/official images
  21. I’ve submitted a link to my theme park ride from TC14 ! I think that’s outside the box and shows mechanisms in play
  22. Definitely think it’s more of a bad guy ship than a police one. Being yellow and black you could go down the route of names like “stinger” “Yellowjacket” “hornet” etc
  23. They’re from @Kit Brickstos UCS Tantive IV Thanks, good luck with yours. Perhaps you need to stop making trucks for Instagram 🤣
  24. I’ve been looking at these but wondered if anyone had any experience? As much experience as to what it means to the Technic set displaying them like this long term https://uniquedisplay.co.uk/collections/wall-displays-for-lego-technic/products/wall-display-for-lego®-technic-42115-lamborghini-sian-pdw-02
  25. But has anyone used any wall mounts for displaying the cars? I don’t have space for bookshelves but wall mounts could potentially work
