  1. I was just at one this past Monday, and while they did have a small container for parts to build a specific model (a plane in this instance, if I'm remembering correctly), there were also bulk cups of both sizes, as well as parts on the wall that weren't used in the small plane model.
  2. I've been really eager to see how these will look together, so thanks for posting those pictures! They looks pretty great together! I think when I get them I'll split Witch-king Battle in half, and have on connected to each of last year's sets, and just have the gate disconnected from the rest. It looks a lot more substantial and better on its own than it does without the Witch-king half.
  3. Ah, no worries! I completely understand!
  4. Awesome! Thanks for the review! I only have one small (well, maybe) picture request: could you take a picture of this set attacked to the two Dol Guldur sets from the previous wave?
  5. Sorry I didn't see your post until now, but if you still want to know how I build the piano, here's two more pictures: Ah, you're right! I wish I had known that earlier. I think I'll be keeping it the same as it is now though.
  6. In-story the masks are held to their faces via magnetism, if I remember correctly, so the peg plugging into their mouths is just a set feature. As for how they're going to attach in the upcoming sets, while I'd prefer them to attach onto the front like the old masks, I'll just have to wait and see!
  7. Oh, okay. That's still kinda cool, but nothing too special, I suppose.
  8. What is it? Is it the actual Minifigure, or a poster or card of some sort?
  9. We already sort of had a Rohan Battle Pack with Uruk-hai Army. It's easy enough to create more soldiers, though perhaps not with only the pieces used in the set. The Thor polybag set that came out last year (I think) gives another face with blond facial hair, and also a blond hairpiece which could be used to create more unique soldiers for Rohan. The Watcher in the Water, on the other hand, would be an awesome unique creature, and a wonderful addition to the already released Mines of Moria set. Maybe have it include Merry, who, while not unique, only appears in one other set (Attack on Weathertop). Don't have Legolas, Boromir, or Pippin in it though, since they already appear in the previously mentioned Mines of Moria set.
  10. Has anybody seen what the Legolas polybag looks like yet? I'm wondering what the little build will be like. (Hopefully another little tree to add to Mirkwood. )
  11. Woah! That's awesome! Wish I could have gotten my hands on one of these: it would have looked nice next to my Return of the King poster. Also, did anybody notice the Mirkwood Elf to the left of Thranduil is using the Collectible Minifigures Elf shield?
  12. Huh, interesting... I'm going to chock it up to a really good Photoshop until some official word is released though. Wouldn't those two sets have been seen in the catalog that was posted a few pages back if they were going to be re-released?
  13. They're on the fourth page from that link.
  14. Wow, that box art looks amazing! Hopefully that means we'll be getting more pictures soon!
  15. That Christmas tree area set looks especially neat. I'll have to try to get these two.
  16. The three I want the most are: 1. Edoras: Rohan is my favorite faction of Men, and this is the last major Rohan location that could be made, since we already have Helm's Deep. Also, it would also hopefully give us at least one new variation of Rohan soldier. 2. Éowyn vs. The Witch King: Same reason as above: I really like the Rohirrim. Her Dernhelm helmet would also help to add some nice variation to Rohan soldiers. 3. Grey Havens (or Into the West, as I like to call it) or Amon Hen: The Grey Havens I think would be the perfect send off to the line, but Amon Hen is my third favorite battle scene, after Helm's Deep and Mines of Moria, which already have sets.
  17. Gender: Male Occupation/print on torso: Confederate Soldier Type of headgear: grey version of the old Wild West soldier hats (can't recall the name right now...) Type of facial expression: concentrated Color on torso/legs: light grey, or the light blue from the Lone Ranger soldiers would be alright Accessory: rifle (grey) There's two different versions of Union soldiers now with the release of the Lone Ranger, but there's still no way to get any Confederate soldiers.
  18. I really hope a set like Nuju Metru's Minas Tirith is what LEGO gives us. It's not ridiculously huge with an equally huge price tag, nor is it so small that it doesn't do the city justice. A set maybe a little bigger than the recently released Orthanc set would be perfect in my opinion.
  19. I just noticed, but the rope the Mountain Climber is holding could potentially be given to Samwise Gamgee to represent his Elven rope.
  20. I did compare him to Gollum, and I can see what you mean. I still have no doubt Azog will be in a set though.
  21. Are we sure this is real? It may just be the picture, but it doesn't look... right to me. It looks almost custom... If it is real though I have no doubt it will be in a set; why would LEGO make a major character an exclusive? Also there's the argument of the Minifigure having two new molds, but that's been said by others previously in this thread.
  22. I was worried about how the Barbarian was going to look, but now seeing the pictures I'm really happy with how he looks. Him, the Scientist, and possibly the Scarecrow are must haves for me, and I may get the Gingerbread Man and Elf just to put next to my Santa with the tree, chimney, and bow of presents from one of the old advent calendars (from 2006, I think...).
  23. If I can get an Abe Lincoln Minifigure my life will be complete.
  24. Part Name: Inverted Cheese Slope Part Description: Instead of a hole to attach to studs, a stud to attach to the underside of plates and such. Part Usage: To smooth the bottom of builds, such as creatures, and possibly stylized vehicles, such as space ships. I'm sure it could be used in buildings and other builds as well, but those are the two I find this part would be the most useful for.
  25. I see your point with the marriage of Arwen and Aragorn, but I think that's even less memorable that Lothlorien, and the location of that scene could always be represented in a conflict-oriented Minas Tirith set, with King Aragorn maybe being an exclusive in a visual dictionary-type book, if one is ever released. I do hope that the White Harbor does eventually become a set, but I'd like to be in the last wave, sort of saying farewell to the theme as the characters say farewell to Middle-earth. Other than that there's not much peaceful sets they could do. Bree/The Prancing Pony is another that comes to mind, but other than that as I run through the movies in my mind I can't think of much else, although I'm sure I'm forgetting something.
