Heartlake Heartbreak - Day Three: Don't Ask Me Why
Hinckley replied to Darkdragon's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Oh dear God, duh. How did I miss that? He even emphasized it. With asterisks. Like you would on a writeboard! God isn't using them but that doesn't mean the Scum can't start one of their own. DarthPotato, nice asterisks! -

I didn't vote for him. Do you think I'm Scum? I was trying to stop the day from ending prematurely, before we had a chance to plan and discover more. We do have two people bringing town investigation results on me. Others also stated they weren't voting in order to keep the day open (which thankfully we no longer have to worry about). I think the people who voted for Walter are more suspicious. It was clear we were going to lynch him and they probably didn't want to be caught off the bandwagon. You're certainly more suspicious for suggesting the non-voters are Scummy. -

So, Ginny went to my room but someone else was outside that scared her away. She won't say who. She wanted to use her flavor cop on me to see who else was visiting me. She knew her lunch would only give her a clue to my job but wanted to see if it would give her any clues about who else was targeting me. -

You think the day investigator is the only person who could corroborate the story? You don't see 10 other roles in there? I think if I was lying, at least one of them would come forward and accuse me for it by now. You may not know who Janice is but I know that you've been in contact with her. I'll ask Bunsen if he can get another Vanilla Townie to come forward and corroborate the story, sure. You came to me in private and told me you watched me. I asked you a question in return. Where's the answer? I'll ask the investigator, but I won't go out of my way. Somebody is lying as I've been told by several people that you have been i It appears that four people targeted me last night, possibly all with watcher Actions. So they all saw each other watching me. Oops. A little extra sentence got left in there. I thought I had deleted that. Ginny is claiming to have watched me but her lunch was a flavor cop lunch, if the lunch list Daisy made is true...which I think it is. -

Focusing on Janice and Scooter is the best idea for now. Jimmy has an easily verifiable claim. Some people complain about me rambling. Sorry, horseface. I can hardly follow all of that, but I'll give it a look in a minute. Sorry. -

If Scooter wasn't blocked and I'm having doubts Jimmy is Scum, then why was there no kill? Who was protected? Any way we can find that out? Rejoice! Janice: Tells me she targeted Dansmith and Ginny, yet has been caught targeting Bunsen. Liar. Lynch All Liars. Or kill them somehow... -

That's because you have it wrong. Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, the day investigator didn't investigate me last night. I came pounding on his door and he said "Hold it there, skippy. I'll be back." Then he went and investigated me today found me to be Town and told me everything he knew. He thought I was a total scumball before that because he wasn't reading closely and didn't see that I had a Town investigation prior to that. Either way, he trusts me now and gave me a ton of helpful info. I believe him. We need to know the affiliation of Janice to be sure. If Janice is Scum, Scooter could still be Scum. It would be a smart gambit to use a meat shield for. Janice turns up as Scum, it makes us believe the whole Cult story and takes our suspicion off of Scooter while we race to the Scum win thinking we're fighting a Cult... The most odd thing is that he says he got a Town result on the day investigator. Does his Action give Cult results or not? Dr Bunsen Honeydew confirms good reasoning for not coming forward yesterday with the result on Janice, but I'm still confused as to why Scooter would not bring it to us instead. He would've made a great mouthpiece for Bunsen. Janice actually says that someone targeted you, Dansmith. Do you have any recollection of being targeted? When Beeker saw Janice targeting Bunsen, Janice claims she was stealing Bunsen's lunch. However, Bunsen still has his lunch. We could save Janice for tomorrow. If the Scum have a day protector, they'll use it on Janice. We should pick another likely target, just in case. Bunsen and Beeker. It'd be hard to imagine they aren't Town. If Janice comes up as Town then we have three people who are clearly lying. Unlikely for them to put "all the Scum in one basket". Although that's what Scooter would be risking if he is performing a meatshield. What's the difference between this and the first one. That's an enormous and risky meatshield. Reckless, even. Well, I know this one isn't true. Honestly, I doubt there's a cult, but if Scooter comes up as Town, which would mean there is, I'd be...quite honestly...shocked and annoyed. Thoroughly. -

Dr. Bunsen Honeydew, the day investigator, confirms that Beeker, the hider, is real and was investigated as Town. If you think about it, having access to a day investigator is kind of kick-megablocks! -

I've heard from the day investigator who corroborates the investigations. Janice was found to be Scum yesterday and he/she used it on me today and came up with Town. Day One was another Town target, conveniently the hider. -

Yes. I know the hider seeing Janice is odd, but I have other Night Action results of people seeing things their role would not normally see. See my other post about that. To clear up confusion as some people think there's too much "rambling" going on and other don't like the plays. Summary Remaining questions Scooter has evaded: 1. How did he get a "Town" result if he is just searching for cult members? 2. Why didn't Scooter or the day investigator out Janice? (Scooter claims he was about to but got distracted with other conversations this morning) 3. Who else has the day investigator investigated? Claimed roles: 1. Fozzie Bear - a Jack-of-All-Trades that is apparently Town-aligned. He can block, protect, investigate, kill and flavor cop, plus one more crazy one I won't mention just yet. Fozzie is the one that Daisy saw targeting me on Night One. Fozzie claims to have investigated me and got the result of Town. 2. Rowlf - Jailkeeper. Apparently he can protect someone throughout the day, yet the block only lasts for the night. If he targets an unblockable player, they are still protected. 3. Scooter - claims Cult Leader Hunter, can't be killed, blocked, jailed, hidden from. If he finds the cult leader all the other cult members commit suicide. 4. Scooter's hider - Get killed if he hides behind a Scummo. Apparently investigated by Scooter on Night One. 5. Scooter's Day Investigator - this is apparently who the hider targeted on Night One. 6. Janice - was investigated by Scooter's day investigator and seen by the hider, not quite sure why. She has claimed Town Watcher. 7. Day Vig - claimed to me today. 8. Someone who targeted me last night as seen by a watcher (lunch). Not sure what they were doing yet. -

Scooter can't be blocked, jailed or hidden from. That was the list. Plus bulletproof. That's the claim. If this were all just a dream of Matilda's scripted by a new God, I would meta-dreaming-ly assume that God would not attempt to put a Cult into her first dream. Also, I'm leaning towards lynching Scooter. If he's Town, we know there's a cult. If he's Scum, we're pretty much assured he was lying. We can still kill the cult leader ourselves. I doubt there are three players that can't be killed at night, as someone already alluded to. Addendum: Killed during the day. Plus, we could lynch the cult leader, of course... -

Ahem... Oscar: So, what's up? Janice: I'm the watcher. I haven't targeted anyone like you or def because I figure you're too high profile and must already have protection. I targeted helpful people like Dansmith and Ginny. Oscar: Ah yes, the ever-helpful Ginny. She's been so helpful. Guess what, Janice? Even if we're protected, you would still see the killer if they were trying to target us... If we kill Janice and lynch Scooter, we won't see either affiliation until the morning so Scooter won't have to defend himself. -

Nothing more? This play didn't hit close to home. Through investigating it you kept coming into the story. Not in ways that are apparent in the play, mind you. But I feel you know someone who may have mentioned all of this to you before. Hopefully, I have a private note from you. -

Scooter is still being protected. Apparently, the protection half of the jailkeeper lasts the entire day but the block only lasts through the night. ... ... Yup. That's what I'm told. -

OK, so Katie used her thief lunch on Shadell and got nothing. So, that's the end of the lunch? You can't use it again? We have two people with results on Daisy that they see a pair of glasses with no lenses. This is after Daisy used her lunch on me. So why don't I see something in Katie's room indicating that she had a thief lunch and used it? Does the clue in Daisy's room mean something more? Or is Katie lying? Is Daisy the framer after all? I really think the glasses without lenses meant she had a one-shot watch action that she already used. That would be the easier explanation, though, of course, easier doesn't mean true. -

No, she said she used it but Shadell already didn't have one. Wait, if she used it, I would've seen something, right? You used yours and got the lense-less glasses on your table. What the hell did Katie say? I've forgotten since I'm up to my eyeballs in cultist hullabahooza. Hedgehogs are notorious for making up words. -

Because you used your lunch as opposed to giving it away like Mike did. You ate your lenses. -

I've never heard of bulletproof investigations either and I'm wondering what the hell you're talking about? Speaking of which, someone used their flavor cop lunch on Mike as well. He also has no lunch or other "job" apparently... -

Well, stranger things have happened, Daisy. There are two brothers searching for each other. Why not a bulletproof, unblockable psychiatrist for the cult that is converting us all. So, what if we kill Scooter and he comes up Town. What's the plan to find the cult at that point? Does everyone want Scooter's name? I'd like to hear from Matilda. I have some problems with her. She's fat, for one. Then there's the case of Katie. Then there's the person that was caught targeting me. Someone watched me last night and saw someone target me and then was told that they looked at each other. Scooter claims the hider saw Janice while he/she was hiding behind the day investigator. The person who caught Fozzie targeting me was told he couldn't see what I was doing. That was Daisy, we established that. Daisy was told she couldn't see what I was up to. There seems to be a lot of extras God is giving us in our Night Action results. I don't want the vig to kill anyone until we've talked to them about this situation. Not Janice, not anyone. We should just wait until everyone has had a chance to chime in. Also, I've checked. This other person claiming to be bulletproof can be blocked, jailed, etc but the vest cannot be blocked. -

Shadell said she forgot her lunch because she was in a rush. Scooter hasn't said anything about forgetting lunch. So, everyone seems to think Scooter is lying because of how many roles can't target him, but if there's a cult and only one way to get rid of it, wouldn't it have to be powerful like that? What if there's a cult and we lynch the only person who can save us from it? Or is that what Scooter wants us to think? Where's this day investigator? Can you corroborate any of this with someone you trust who isn't Scooter? Can you investigate Scooter?? You should know who it is. Where's this hider? -

If everyone is convinced on Scooter, let's ask the alleged vig to kill him. We're not going to get a voting pattern on Scooter anyway. -

Scooter also claims to be bulletproof. I know of another bulletproof claim. Two bulletproof Townies? I believe that he can't be jailed. Rowlf's clarification came from God before Rowlf even knew Scooter said he couldn't be blocked or jailed. Allegedly came from God... -

Hold up hold up hold up!! Scooter claims he can't be blocked or jailed. Rowlf claims to have just received clarification in his Night Action result that only the protection worked. I'd prefer Occam's Razor.
