U-Wings, X-Wings, Bo-Katan?, Saw Guerrera, Hover Tanks, Tie Defenders... Oh my gosh looks like fun. But the last season? A little shocking. I knew Rebels wasn't exactly reaching the popularity The Clone Wars had, but I am a bit surprised to know it is ending so soon. Yet I am glad they will have plenty of time to wrap the story up with a full season to prepare the table. It also explains why we are starting to get hints of what happens to some of the characters, such as Hera's confirmed survival to the Battle of Endor; Disney is probably preparing to move the stories of the characters on in other medium now. Really makes me wonder what is next though for Star Wars animation since Forces of Destiny is not a full length series the same way Rebels and TCW are...

Yes to be honest Kanan and Ezra are the only loose threads in Rebels for the overall Canon. Heck, I could see Kanan dead and Ezra running away from it all in some self centered move... thus making him absent for the rest of the OT. Meanwhile Hera, Sabine, Rex, and Zeb continue to kick butt for the rest of the war and are deemed war heroes by the end and retire to a happy life on Lothal... (Actually if the Sabine-Antilles shipping ever becomes reality, Sabine is good as dead since the canon has already hinted the Empire "murdered" one of Wedge's first love interests...)

Well I would have preferred hand drawn rather than flash... But considering there hasn't been a 2D animated Star Wars series since Genndy's original Clone Wars it could be a welcome change of pace.

Well the next canon animated series has been announced. Not the Old Republic like many people hoped, but looks interesting. And they managed to get most of the original actresses back too (Daisy Ridley, Felicity Jones, Lupita, etc.):

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
xboxtravis7992 replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I picked up the Phantom II. It was a fun build, but the end result lived up to my fears it would be "to small." I am reserving final judgement though until I can get it together with the rest of my Star Wars sets. I think particularly the figures will stand out in my OT-era collection. -
With the monocle and laser beam hand, I dub him "Doctor Bohrok," a supervillain which originated when a Bohrok accidentally entered a 1960's spy thriller movie!

I am a fan of weathered model trains, and have been doing some paint and chalk weathering in HO. However I am not so sure if the brick built Lego version is as easy to make it look right. I appreciate your efforts, since the thought of weathering has yet to become part of the Lego community as a whole. I think the bright clean colors of Lego bricks are what makes it hard to convincingly weather something brick built. Even Lego brown looks really bright next to a rust colored paint. However I also understand why painting a Lego brick is not something most people want to do, so if any solution is to be found; it must be either decals or brickbuilt. I am curious to see what further attempts at brickbuilding weathering will produce.

The Star Wars Explained YouTube channel put out a great theory as to why he adopts the name "Han Solo." If the film takes any inspiration from Legends, Han is possibly an orphan with no clue to his lineage. Hence the last name "Solo" being a chosen name which was meant to reflect his lack of heritage and his individual identity. So technically there probably weren't any other Solos in the galaxy until Leia and Ben! Also "Han Solo" being a pseudonam could be a direct homage to another Harrison Ford/Lucas Film character who named himself after a dog...

REVIEW: 71018 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17
xboxtravis7992 replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I am absolutely baffled too! Why Lego has chosen one figure to keep secret is beyond me, especially seeing it isn't a chase figure like Mr. Gold was. If he turns out to be a highwayman like so many rumors suggest, then it would seem anti-climactic they have kept him hidden so long for no real defined reason. Unless Lego is trying to make this a tradition of future CMF lines were one figure is kept secret until the final release... Still, very weird. -
Well; New Warriors staring Squirrel Girl has officially got the go. I hope the rumors Ms. Marvel will feature to pan out! Both of those characters are well deserving of being in the MCU in one way or another. https://news.marvel.com/tv/62577/marvels-new-warriors-headed-freeform-straight-series-order/ EDIT: Of course I am a bit apprehensive if they screw this up to. Comedy has been part of the MCU for a long time, but it has always played second fiddle to the action. If this show nails the humor of the North-Henderson comics, then it will be a pretty good product. If it goofs though and is a sub par comedy sitcom... well... I won't be happy.

Beautiful ship. The last bit about the artificially incubated colonists though has me wondering, "Has science gone to far???" Nothing like an planet of mono-genetic colonists being raised by the robot mothership to sell the sci-fi aspects of the idea!

Just Another BNSF SD40-2 ... In 6 Wide!

Standard cabs always looked good in BNSF paint, don't know why but they do. -
Probably confidentiality, not the first time a big company has asked Lego fan sites to pull news from their frontpages. Remember in 2015 all the crap Disney would give anyone who posted photos of The Force Awakens Star Wars sets before their official reveal? It is likely Cartoon Network/Time-Warner was planning on revealing this show later on down the line, and they are trying to clean up the leak before their official announcement is ready.

Anybody read the comments on the Brickset article? Half the people think this is an April Fools joke
-
Considering this is the "Future Star Wars Minifigures" thread for speculation, speculate away! Brickset hinted R2-D2 buildable polybag was going to be the promo instead of a figure. I sure hope not!
-
Just like Galidor did. Bricks to live-action TV... Oh wait, bad example? Okay better example, Bionicle; none of the original films were strictly designed to look like the actual Lego pieces, so the characters were implied to exist in their own non-Lego world we the audience experienced via the Lego toy. Makes sense?

If the current Marvel-Sony deal makes Sony bucketsful of money, in 6 or 7 years after Infinity War and Homecoming "2" are out, they might consider sticking with Disney-Marvel just because it is a sure return on their investment. Striking it out alone runs the risk of another Amazing Spider-Man type fall out... EDIT: Or maybe it is all corporate posturing to try and force Disney to pay a high dollar price tag to gain full control over Spider-Man under the threat they could lose all control again after the current deal expires...

Oh my gosh, that Captain America fitness program! I knew Chris Evans wanted to be in the film, but I thought it wouldn't happen because of the events of Civil War... Well Pacer Test Captain has proved me wrong!!

I was actually hoping Konstatine would survive so we could have seen Thrawn do just that. Thrawn personally tossing Konstatine out an airlock, or shooting a blaster bolt into his face... Then when the second Interdictor was destroyed the commander of that ship would have acknowledged his failure and explained what he was trying to do to avoid the same mistake Konstatine did; then be surprised when Thrawn promotes him as reward for his creative thinking... Okay that might be a bit to on the nose, but it could have been an homage to one of Legends Thrawn's classic scenes.
-
I don't agree with that, because Thrawn didn't lose the battle. I think poor editing and allowing the main cast to escape gives that impression he lost. But he managed to scatter the heroes, destroy all of Dodana's ships, lead to the death of Commander Sato, destroy half of Phoenix Squad's ships, and would have captured Hera and friends if it wasn't for Bendu going all Deus Es Machina. In a way it mirrors the end of the Battle of Hoth. Nobody complains that Vader was a poor commander due to the failings of Commander Ozzel, or that Vader is a "looser" because he failed to capture Luke and crew at Hoth and instead had to chase them across the galaxy before he finally got a hold of them... Thrawn dealt his fatal blow to Phoenix Squad, hence the reason the survivors are fleeing to join the Yavin rebel group. Not to mention as others have mentioned, it was Tarkin's orders that really limited Thrawn's ability to kill the Rebels. So Tarkin is the real idiot commander here... But I think the battle scenes were poorly edited in the last Rebels episode, making it look like a Rebel victory despite on paper being a resounding defeat and an Imperial victory. They really needed to animate a good debris field of Rebel ships floating around while the Ghost escaped, or make it more of a tense escape rather than the somewhat calm "let's fly through a battle and pick up Kallus on the way" the final shot gave us.

What videogame-based BrickHeadz would you like to see?
xboxtravis7992 replied to kungfulegolover's topic in LEGO Licensed
I would want to see Master Chief... But sadly the other building brick company has that license So how about Steve? Lego already has the Minecraft license so it's not a stretch.
