  1. Yes I am kind of done with the Death Star stuff too, and I really hope that Rogue One is the LAST we will see of that idea for a while. I thought Rogue One approached it wonderfully though, but I think since they did the Death Star plot justice this time, they should end it now while it is still on a high note. When we count the instances of Death Stars in Canon and Legends it becomes kind of ridiculous: Canon- Death Star I (Revenge of the Sith, Rogue One, A New Hope) Death Star II (Return of the Jedi)\ Starkiller Base (Force Awakens) Legends- Prototype Death Star Death Star III (Star Tours ride) Darksaber (The Hutt's knockoff Death Star laser) Eclipse I (basically a Death Star laser on a Super Star Destroyer frame) Eclipse II Dear Lucasfilm, it is time to let the idea have a rest! No Starkiller Base II please!
  2. I kind of hope they make some minor background story retcon to set up Billie's background character in The Force Awakens to be some distant relative of Luke and Leia. Maybe the granddaughter of one of Padme's siblings. It seem it would be fitting to do that to recognize the real life relation of the actors. Also lets get Gary the dog in Star Wars too. They have dogs in Star Wars don't they?
  3. Finally got the set for Christmas. Took me 8 hours to build it. Only problem is, my Lego storage is running low on capacity, so I had to put the thing on the very top shelf of my closet (I am 6' 3" and this shelf is still higher than me! Castle looks really tall on top of that), far out of reach. I am really bummed since in its current display state I can't get to the interior easily without slowly moving the entire model off the high shelf. A part of me thinks I need to get it onto a table and then arrange the modular buildings in front of it to create a bit of a Main Street USA type of look...
  4. To soon man... The way Vader is crouched over slightly makes it look very sad.
  5. Okay here are some of the vehicles I want from Rogue One:
  6. You are seriously the first person in all of the internet I have heard say they like the look of the Charger. I thought it looked like something out of a bad sci-fi film.
  7. Yes that is shockingly bizarre timing. Sad to think that Debbie lived to see Carrie die, but she didn't have to live long on the fact... They can be together now.
  8. Yes I have been wondering if any plot points will be changed in Episode 8 or 9 to reflect this. Or will we get some CGI resurrection for Episode 9? Again wishing Han was somehow still in the franchise. Knowing that the sequel trilogy has killed of Han already and will soon has to address the death of Carrie by probably writing off Leia means that most of the original cast will be killed in the new series. That is really depressing.
  9. I picked up the U-Wing and finally built it yesterday along with Krennic's Shuttle from earlier. Now I hope to get the AT-ST and Hovertank in the future to complete the main cast of Rogue One!
  10. Not surprised. When the news came out my parents (who are both registered nurses) said Carrie was going to suffer severe brain damage due to the Cardiac Arrest. They speculated that the family was going to keep her on a ventilator until sometime after Christmas day was finished, and then probably let her go. I feel especially sorry for Debbie Renyolds. It is sad whenever a parent has to outlive their child.
  11. I feel like such a derp. I read your description of the Gunship and thought "How old is he now? No way he's an adult by now." Then I realized I would have been 14 around that same age! Oops...
  12. Honestly that's what I thought when I first saw this list; "Where is Black Sabbath?", but I'm only 22 so I must also be one of those youngsters you mentioned
  13. My parents mentioned the event that the Cardiac Arrest that happened to her possibly could have caused a loss of oxygen and potential brain damage. Considering her issues smoking, drinking, and using cocaine back in the day it is no wonder her health is shot. If she doesn't make it or suffers brain damage, Disney will have to write her out off future episodes.
  14. Smiths Marketplace; Salt Lake City, Utah. I don't know if the same price is at other Smiths in the nation, but it should be worth checking out.
  15. I found 75156 Krennic's Imperial Shuttle priced at $44.99 sale price at a store. Normally I don't buy myself large Lego sets in the month or two before Christmas (especially only three days before Christmas!) But it just so happened my grandparents gifted me exactly $50 at a Christmas party a few weeks back, and I was planning on using that money to save up for 75156 anyways, which I probably was going to buy right after Christmas day... So I decided to jump the gun and buy it now while I know it is on discount instead of waiting after the holidays knowing that it could return back to its normal price. I consider it a my Christmas gift from my Grandparents then; and being on a college student budget finding the set half off was actually a blessing.
  16. Whoa! May 2018 seems a long way off to speculate. We still haven't even figured out all we are getting in 2017, let alone 2018! I thought we already had a topic for speculating about future Disney series and making our wishlists? I think this would make more sense to continue in one of those older topics.
  17. Yes I feel that way too... In over 16 years of buying Lego my ONLY Chewbacca to date is from the original Millenium Falcon from 2000! In old brown too! So I really am excited for the chance to get a new Chewie someday soon. I think that desert skiff also has the bonus draw of including Boba Fett, who I also don't have a new version of (again, I am still using the original "Marvin the Martian" Boba Fett helmet figure).
  18. For the Rebels fans; a few screenshots of the Rebels cameos: http://www.starwars.com/news/the-star-wars-rebels-easter-eggs-and-connections-in-rogue-one
  19. We have a Lego Club magazine show up in the waiting room at my work. Recent issue too, so obviously they are still being published! I haven't really read them in years though, Brickset and Eurobricks suffices for my Lego news!
  20. Well this just showed up online:
  21. I have a list of a few Rogue One sets I'd love to see made... But to respect those who haven't seen it yet I'll wait a bit longer to talk about the spoilers relating to future sets. Can't wait to hear all your opinions!
  22. I really liked the film, I got to see it in 3D of all things last night. Surprised at how well 3D worked, the field of depth it gave in particular to the final battle scenes were outstanding. The Easter eggs helped make me giddy for the end. I loved seeing the Juggernaut/Turbo Tank from Episode III being used as a prison transport. The thought of old prison worlds were the Empire sends old AT-TE's and Juggernauts as prison haulers is a great addition to the continuity. I loved the Rebels references. I couldn't see Chopper; but I definitely caught the reference to Hera and saw the Ghost a few times in the film. Like many of you here, I couldn't tell if the Ghost escaped Scarrif or not... Hope it did. Seeing Vader too. Oh my gosh. The final scene especially was awesome. I was so giddy to watch the Rebels escape such a nightmarish Vader; run onto the Tantive IV and deliver the plans. Even weird CGI Leia face was easily ignored by how giddy I was. Lastly, I think Rogue One's Easter eggs are proof of something greater. Getting rid of the old canon and placing the story group to helm the franchises direction now means that cartoons-comics-film will now be blended seamlessly. I half expected any moment now we will realize that the old Rebel Soldier in Jedi was Rex, or we'll get an Asohka stand alone film or something like that. The new Canon is making Star Wars both bigger and smaller all at once!
  23. My favorite part has to be that motor. The nose is a bit chunky though, but I do like how it does seem to be long enough to be a proper E-series engine.
  24. Actually to quote the phrase, "There is a prototype for everything:"
  25. The first set I got costing $100 was set 7190-1 Millennium Falcon as a Christmas gift from my parents. To date it is still the only Millennium Falcon set I own, and although I have thought of buying one of the new ones to replace it in display, I still have a nostalgic love for that old set.
