  1. It's an Insectoid Android from 1998. The legs are some well chewed brown ones. There should be printed legs.
  2. Possibly? I have many books about aircraft and they all sort of stick on my brain and pop out when I build.
  3. 5 Years! A bump from a post left 5 years ago to make a complaint about STAR WARS sets! These guys all draw from the same source material, so if they are making them accurate of course the MOC and the official set are going to match!
  4. TYCO last well though, of all the clones I own, they looked so much like Lego that for a while I thought they were!
  5. Infernal Scarlet Lime Shot "The World Racing Association is proud to present the latest racing machine to grace the circuit: The Right Engine Racer. The powerful racing turbines shoot the pilot pods around the custom built race circuit at nearly impossible speeds. Manoeuvrable, high performance and most certainly dangerous, pilots cling on by the seat of their overalls! Who will emerge victorious from this epic race? The Backyard Blasters or the Xtreme Daredevils? Tune in to find out!" As I created an engine for a spaceship, I thought that it would look much better as a single with a pilot pod slung beside it, I also realised that I had built it in the exact colour scheme used for one of the World Racer teams, I built the second to provide a little competition. More on Brickshelf (once moderated)
  6. I have a plan for Wednesday now. The British Library (A bibliophile's dream!) and it's Science Fiction Exhibition. I'm not sure if anyone else is interested, but as soon as I get into London from the hotel, me and my oyster card are heading for Kings Cross tube station and the Library. Just mentioning it no one has to come with me, and I will be perfectly happy to meet-up later and browse the exhibition alone.
  7. I've seen what is possbily a variant on eBay, Amy wearing red gloves and possibly a different outfit.
  8. Please resize those pictures! Go here and find one best suited to you.
  9. I had tried once before to create some sort of winged back-gear with a 1x1 with the five studs, but it looked to bulky. That little gold bar is excellent and has many many uses, it made a graceful solution for this creation. The only minor issue is the tail, it prevents the minifig standing upright on at a normal level, I need to give him a brick, step or battlement for standing.
  10. This hardy plane can land anywhere in the desert and is often used by the local artifact hunters to spot possible sites. For a modest fee the pilot will willingly sell maps and arial photographs he has taken. I am most pleased with the colour scheme of this MOC, Dark Tan is just such a yummy colour! I wanted to invoke a vintage feel with this one, slightly more down to earth and realistic than some of my other creations. The pilot has a Naboo Pilot torso on, a favourite of mine for both Steampunk and Dieselpulp. It seems I have recently been sucked back into flight. I would say dreaming about flying, but we all know what Freud said abou that
  11. The Dragon Pack allows its wearer to soar through the air like the noble beasts. Powered by air magic and constructed from spelled gold and leather wings. Perfect for spotting marching enemies and for dropping the odd surprise crossbow bolt from the air. A little Castlepunk tablescrap, I had the idea while examining the new hilt/bar from Ninja Go.
  12. So far nothing mentioned. But I am well known as weird, well, since I sold my goth boots over the work intranet and had Final Fantasy figures on my work station. It is simple "joshing" but then the proud owner of a Fiat 500 Abath and the Horsey woman all have similar jokes at their expense. It's all good.
  13. I too have heard of the Cartoon and a handful of extra snippets here and there (Lets just say one short film had a familiar voice... End of Line). Then there is the fact that there was some sort of sequel possibly on the books, hence the fact that the Boardroom scene was re-shot with a big name star (Cillian Murphy getting his nerd on) as Dillinger Jr. A cartoon series on a channel aimed at TLG's target age group, a series with vehicles as a major feature, a series owned by their newest licensed property... I could be clutching at straws, because I loved TRON and TRON Legacy and official LEGO light disks would be amazing. However a cartoon could possbly increase intrest in the franchise.
  14. In my local ASDA some of the Star Wars promos were in those baskets (like they put footballs and stuff in?) in the toy aisle, not by the LEGO. But it was only one sort of set and they didn't last long. In the Tesco, they were in boxes on the toy aisle and hangtags off the shelves.
  15. My local ASDA has got the PotC sets in, Island, Cannibal Escape, Captain's Cabin and the Fountain of Youth are all there.
  16. No idea what that could be. I did buy a large amount of Click Brick (not the bootlegger ones) Lil' People from The Entertainer, as 3 bags for a single pound, with two figures in each, I couldn't resist. The army men, variety of headgear and close resemblence to Lego make it fantastic mod-fodder. The colour is a perfect match, they are set aside in a special box.
  17. Well, there is the seperator, a ruler. Then we get hardcore with a Dremmel and multidrill Files and wet'n'dry paper, a little brasso and certainly a half decent brush.
  18. Your Dragons are indeed superb. Brick perfect replicas of the film ones. I look forward to future creations!
  19. Wow, certainly atmospheric! The lighting is spot on, the composition excellent. The use of sand is great (not something I would try, baaad memories ) and the little details here and there are well done. Keep up the good work!
  20. I am going to make myself heard: TRON. Very much. Please? I know it has been suggested before, but it must be done! (If it hasn't been suggested, what is wrong with you people?) Plenty of cool sets to be made, even more cool boxart to be done. Limited new parts needed the only issue is possible printing, but they are making a stellar effort in the CMs, so it can be done with what they have.
  21. Ah yes Cobi, great plastic quality and some nice parts for figures, I have a little. It is hard to come by in the UK.
  22. I will review the figures! I am just trying to grab one of each first. Luck so far includes the rather rare Timey Wimey blue shirted Doctor.
  23. Wow, cool it! You don't need to behave in such a reprehensible manner towards other members! I think it's a legitimate theory, just as much as your theory is! I can vouch for the fact that when the Mirror was running the promotion, there wasn't nearly as much mania over it as this time around. When the Mirror had it, Smith's wasn't over-run with manic paper grabbing fools, unlike this time. Plus there was no option to send off, so those who thought just to send a voucher needed instead to go to the shop. Also, I can bet that the only place it wasn't insane was Liverpool, and they don't like the paper. I have my own theories, but apparently they are snobbish and judgemental.
  24. Well chaps and ladies, I shall be arriving at 11:43am at Sunningdale station, but a mile or so from the hotel. Will anyone else be arriving at this station within half an hour of me? If so, we can pool for a taxi or strike out on the buses. I expect to arrive at the hotel by 12 (or less, I am unsure if the station will have a taxi rank or if I'll need to phone for one) and then meet a few people before we head to the city? Anyone else expecting to be at the hotel at that time, traveling there on my lonesome is fine, but I would like to have a little company for the rest of the proceedings. Not knowing the area is much more fun in groups!
  25. Oh, it's fine. I was mostly just checking if anyone was going to be at the station near/same time as me, seeing as it is the nearest to the hotel (well, by google maps calculations anyway) and splitting a taxi fair is better than both arriving within half an hour of each other at the hotel from the same station. However, I would prefer to go into the city with company than to strike out on my own, if only to allieviate the boredom of a journey alone.
