Well, I just have to say, this turned into Morrigan. I just took a lot longer getting it just right than I thought I would

Aww man, I am a fan of Barbarian Class but I also love maces... Now I might have to play a knight.. Then again great swords and other large weapons are good too. I shall get a photo of my character soon! Oh, are there any rules on clones and aftermarkets
-
No, it was a statement of my own from earlier posts.

Right, ok, poor choice of words. Still focus groups did result in Dino 2010 for the rest of the world and Dino Attack for the US. It sadly does seem to show the trend of more violent and agressive toys becoming much more popular, never before that was it quite so overt. Anyway, everything is speculation for now. I might even need to re-title it after confirmed news comes out.
-
I know it's done because we haven't come across any news, I know it will be back as Underwater has been going on since I was 7 years old (Aquasharks Rule!!!!!) and returns in cycles.
-
I missed "airship" Oh great goodness I hope it is decent
-
Pinch of salt everyone. It is a little early for the storyline to be cemented.

Right. Fine. Whatever and who cares. Dino 2012 seems to be the running name as Dino 2010 was the first of its kind, unlike such themes as Spies, Adventure, Underground and Underwater there wasn't a precedent. After all, Pharaoh's Quest is an Adventure theme and it's discussion first came up in a Continuation of the Adventure theme. There have been many underwater things. MightyMegs, please note the " " its a joke, the smiley indicates humour. Politics isn't for the forums but international interaction through humour is. As far as we know, it could be simply a new adventure for Jake and the gang, or their friends or their family. It could be the Dino crew from before or a whole new team. The focus of the sets could be wildly different to before or exactly the same. Until promotional material surfaces, Dino 2012 is fine as the theme is about Dinosaurs and it comes out in 2012 (Heck, it could just be called "Dino").
-
It was a typo. Also no bais against. I loved what Dino 2010 looked like, however being 16 at the time I had very limited money and no chance to buy it. 2012, lots of money, a LEGO store in the city I do think Dino Attack is a showcase of what we the world always say about America though
-
Please people. Right now we focus on the Dino. Dino Attack was a method of selling sets with a violent focus to bloodthirty American rugrats, everywhere else in the world it was simply known as Dino 2010 and had decidedly less stupid weapon systems. As such we call it Dino or Dino 2012 (as that is the year it comes out) until an official release or enough leaks for us to make the call. Also Dino Attack leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Ok

Well, the artifacts are taken back, the pharaoh is locked back in his tomb. The World has been saved by four adventurers and a lot of pluck. Maybe they will have some future quests to undertake but it seems like they are having a rest for now. Hopefully soon something new will occur but for now we bid you adieu.

As the year trails past the half way mark and the sneak peeks of next year start to trickle in, sadly it seems the watery deep is done for now. Farewell brave ocean voyagers! You shall return in some form or another one day.

And on that bombshell We shall end it, Ta Ta 2011, hello 2012

Discretion is the better part of valour, so certain images will be left out... So, lets discuss next years snippets of information!

BrickArms 2011: August Release!
Peppermint_M replied to the enigma that is badger's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
So Badger, one TRON fan to another... Any sign of Identity Discs? *she says hopefully* The new colour looks fab, I know I am going to be looking out for quite a few like that, then again I am also a sucker for gunmetal. Now, when will the UK re-seller be stocked up . -
Classic Space Stickered Torso Minifigs
Peppermint_M replied to 1980-Something-Space-Guy's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
I think there may have been some form of book with stickers once upon a time. I'll et back to you after some research! -
New Ginny hair and a Marian head if you are going flesh tone. The Ginny hair and one of the many collectable minifig heads with the correct expression otherwise.

Well sure, its a little disapointing but if the focus groups declared this what they wanted/liked then this is what will be made. At least the scale looks a little like they'd combine the sets with regular LEGO. We AFFOLs (I hate that acronym, ist like aaahfafaols) need to remember that we are far from the norm (hence the Lady tag to avoid generalisation) and even what we liked and wanted as children wasn't the same as our peers. It is a giant mixed bag when it comes to kids even in LEGOs target under-teen boys. One boy will want lots of police and firemen and buildings while another would prefer to build an alien space ship. Some want Ninjas and some want Pirates. Harry Potter or Star Wars? The differences are endless. My Mum is a somewhat typical adult but she very much enjoys my continued love of the plastic brick. However what she wants is City and Castle themed Lego. I recently purchased the Helicopeter and Limo set (£10!!) and she herself said that it looked like a "two book" set *hint* *hint*. A few days later on a quite evening she actually suggested that we should build the set together and so we did. She liked LEGO when her younger brother had it as a child(a sore point that may have instigated her non-conformist attitude to playtime with myself and my siblings). Her parents never twigged that LEGO can be a girls toy. What my long and rambling point is: Maybe these buildable sets, although the figures are not Minifigs, will flag up to parents and small girls that LEGO is a good toy to play with. Then they might graduate to another theme and start really building?

Oh noes a barely seen costume and some goggles, you know, its hard to see what she is wearing what with all the motorbike in the way! Not to mention the goggles that stop insects and dust embedding themseleves in eyeballs... Heck, anything is better than the ones from the first film and the steaming crap-pile that was the Catwoman movie. So, the catwoman we saw was eactly the same as the old figure. I would rather something like the current comics costume.

Oooo Fancy Logos don't forget the tag sized version That was pure experimentation. I am very pleased that I bought the Lime Green and the Red Tractor sets, the windscreens came in very handy

Thanks, eh they are all old threads, I shall leave this. It also removes the evidence of depressing immaturity... Really, if you accidentaly get some clone brick you won't die. No one will take away all your LEGO and declare you unfit to remain an AFOL. You'll just have some bricks that you personally do not want. As I keep repeating, if you buy a lot of mixed lots off eBay very often: Save those non LEGO bricks until you get a decent amount chuck in the better clone figures and maybe one of those many many Crash Test Dummies or other less popular CMFs and donate the bricks to charity. Someone will get some enjoyment from them. I may have mentioned before, I sorted my bricks out a while back, the spare box just sort of sits there, it provides really useful filler and there is a bag of unique parts I can use in my MOCs. Right now I also have a load of Click Brick Swap 'em figures. They are very useful crowd filler and look just like LEGO minifigs to the point no one will notice. Ah well.

Glad you like this one, It's been sat there ages while I pondered posting it. The torso is indeed a Rock Raider one, Jet's to be precise. As for future builds, there are some in the works once I get my final castle built (awaiting parts). Thinking about castle's means I am not thinking planes
-
Nope, that is a very nice rendition of the CMF3 Fisherman beard.

Morrigan is the pinnacle of air warfare engineering. Built on the mysterious island of Hynys, long time opponents of the Lion Empire. They have fought to retain independence and have learned well from their many years of battle. Emerging from the near permanent mists that shroud their homeland, the pilots of Hynys sought to assist the other Free State islands in their unexpected war. Here we see Captain Arian, squadron leader of the Falcon Squad, ready to join the skirmish. This plane was very fun to build. A second go at making something middle sized and for a single crew member. Of all the recent planes, this one has actually been built the longest!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion
Peppermint_M replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The Statue of Liberty is made of copper, copper oxidises (rusts) into green. Old copper coins and pipes will also become green when left out in the rain and air. Copper ore is a light green colour too. I think green is a good choice, but that might just be me.
