I think this goes better in Special Themes, so I will move it over there.

Thank you for the valuable contribution there Does anyone know when they will be in shops? There is a new toy store opening in town and I was hoping they might have some in stock. Or is it just in the US?

Ok everyone, cool your jets. Mikey, please, can you leave a less bitter tasting critique? First off, I see plenty of building, just because it isn't that complex doesn't make it any less like building (unless, like me you don't count digital as building, I'm more for calling it sketching, but that's not the point). If it was a physical brick built MOC it would look exactly like that. So please, by all means suggest methods of making it more complex and stuffed with techniques of arcane and fiddly detail but in a less scathing and outright mean mannner. Thank you.

There is less than a week to go on the Direct-to-Customer Contest. So if you have have plans to enter, I'd get building! Check out the rules over in the Action Themes Forum. If you've already entered your MOC, make sure it fully complies. Good Luck!

CONTEST: Design a Direct-To-Consumer (D2C) set
Peppermint_M replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
When it is within time, a warning will be given to all entries that they must be finalised within the rules. Anyone who isn't done by then will sadly be disqualified. -
Nero have a new track out? Awesome. At the moment I am listening to Glockenpop by Spiderbait, ISC sent me a link to one of their tracks and since then I have been working through related links on youtube . I love their version of Black Betty and 5th set is pretty awesome too.

WIP - The shining elevator scene

As an LDD MOC, I will move it over to the LDD forum. As an LDD MOC, I will move it over to the LDD forum. If the forum mod decides it belongs elsewhere I guess he can move it where he prefers it -
Well, seeing as this has been answered, I will move it over to the BSTF forum, as it is more to do with aquiring parts than the theme itself!

Hurrah, a globe! I have wanted one for a very long time. Thanks for the review, this is the one set I know I am going to get. The part and colour selection is most desirable. The sword holder is also rather cool, I hope there are a few more sets I can splash out on with a few more of those parts in.

Please in future refrain from posting in older threads with such short and somewhat pointless comments. It pushes newer more relevant discussion down. Also, please do not quote so much at once! Really a reply should just be made by clicking the "Add Reply" button at the top or bottom of a page, not the Reply button under a post. If you want to quote a member, please delete the non-applicable text and photos. It makes navigation of a thread easier and faster. Thank you.

Imminent Derailment - I spoke of getting a thread back on track, not sure who gave me this one, though ISC is often the culprit.

MOC: The Stockholm Special.
Peppermint_M replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Well, I always like Tan torsos, the print is often useful for a variety of themes. Those Hoth rebel ones are perfect even without limited modification I also use tusken raider torsos, Naboo pilot torsos and the Power Miner ones. I love to make new characters from my collection and an extensive selection of tan torso is invaluable. -

Watch this space! I have a globe trotting story for Articus and Berlin. An illustrated story with photos interspersed within the text. -
News like that belongs over in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds but thanks for posting it, I am sure that US members will appreciate that

MOC: The Goodbury Turbine
Peppermint_M replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Heh, thanks. I just had to build one so much that I selected the parts and started without even really realising that I was building one! -
MOC: The Goodbury Turbine
Peppermint_M replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Well, now you know some of the stuff I feed my brain. That sort of thing is what I read and enjoy, so I get a lot of ideas that I then adapt with other influences and such. Glad you like it. -
Articus Storm (aka Charles Thunder) and his employer Berlin Hyatt are searching for her father Theodore Hyatt and Jonathan Thunder II, who disappeared on an expedition earlier in the year. Having started in London using Articus’ old jalopy they got as far as Stockholm when it gave up. Using some of his old university contacts they managed to get it fixed up and ready to go. A little more souped up than stock, this special automobile can take on any location as they search for their globetrotting family members. More in brickshelf (when moderated) Look! A car with Bull-bars! I made one! After the turbine car was finished I started this MOC. Articus Storm and Berlin Hyatt are two characters set a generation after Jonny and friends, Charles is the younger son of Jonny Thunder and Berlin is an heiress. There is a story in progress.

The Goodbury Turbine is a marvel of modern technology, capable of powering over any terrain due to it’s amazing and unusual method of propulsion. Instead of the normal method motive power directed at the wheel axels this vehicle is pulled across any ground by an airplane turbine. With the engine concentrating on soaring through the sky, rocks and rough ground mean nothing to it’s incredible drive power. Ms Scarlet Goodbury, inventor and owner of this magnificent mobile uses it in her other hobby of treasure hunting. Speeding through desert to possible locations with her associate Doctor Carmichael, their car makes an impressive sight. More over at brickshelf (when moderated) So, I started building a car with bull-bars when this happened. I blame Dark Roasted Blend.

MOC: Adventure Offroad Vehicle

Might I just add that this is a complete MOC, and it will partner the next MOC. I shall be building a few for a convoy. I hope they will attain the same pleasedness this one did. -
MOC: Adventure Offroad Vehicle

I'll give it a go, I have a few more to build (found a cache of parts I had been saving for Adventure mobiles) so something with bull bars will appear soon. -
MOC: Adventure Offroad Vehicle
Peppermint_M replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
All attempts at a bull bar looked terrible. I tried a few different parts in different ways but it just didn't mesh, thus the numberplate and front lights, that bracket was for bull bars. So I put bull horns on instead -

I do believe I got those wheels on a city set, the Dump Truck. I just switched the wheels to grey. It is a 2009 set, but as city turns up in a lot of places it is still possible to find.
