  1. Tesni moved ahead to the next room, or at least tried to... Her berserker rage was keping her close to the Iron Face, she had to defeat them or at least see them fall! OoC: I am locked into a target, does that mean I can't leave the room?
  2. Rools ACTION THEMES ROOLS. SCI FI DROOLS!!!!
  3. As if I am not kiling enough as it is! I have control of Namyrra until Quarryman gets back from the UK. Tesni clasped Mellt. "I will go after Iron Arm! He will fall to my might!! Namyrra, try and go for Nine tailed turtle and Iron Face with your darkness magic!"
  4. Tesni, still clenching Mellt followed Hybros to the next room. Maybe she would have a chance of a kill soon.
  5. It’s the end of the world as we know it! Two weeks left to go until the final day... Still time to build then! Being the most Action packed forum on EB, we will not go quietly! Build something that represents the end of the world or belongs at the end of the world. Maybe it’s the world ender: The evil villain finally pushed the button of doom, Atlantis returns with the final pronouncement, a vile mystic foe has got his hands on the ultimate weapon? Maybe you are fighting to prevent it with the brave secret operatives and warriors? Are you perhaps the unlucky explorer (slash!) archaeologist who has discovered the earth’s epitaph? Or are you simply sitting back to watch the show or getting one last redline race in before we’re kaput? So long as it is Action Themed you can enter and a mystery prize will be revealed and awarded after the 21st... If we’re still here! From now (7th December) until 00:00 GMT on the 21st/22nd of December build build build and post a link to the MOC thread here in this very thread. The prize will be awarded to whoever gains the most points from judges. So what are you waiting for?! We only have two weeks left!!
  6. You sure you want to change it to that? You positive? I'll switch it later today, this browser I am on is not a fan of all my moderating powers.
  7. DarthNick 3 points! Clever that.

  9. I put ten myself as I engaged a lot in the official LEGO forums from about the age of 14 and moved over to AFOL things between 17/18.
  10. I am impressed! (Both that you carried out that experiment and that I could read the graphs despite not doing materials testing in about three years...) I wonder what other brands end up lokoing like/ failing at. Oh and Hrw, only Brits can listen to the BBC radio on i-Player but the BBC online magazine is golbal access and more succinct with photographs etc...
  11. So... a track that is Tesni... Hmmmm. That's a difficult one. I'll have to get back to you. Anyone else got any ideas?
  12. The tag is the tag sorry. These are how they look. If you want to swap it at all I can do that, but only for one of the other tags listed as a prize.
  13. Um.... Well, I made it to the EB 2012 event in Billund as planned, I attended Brickworld and participated in my first ever group display (we won!). As for spending... Well after two blowout go for broke purchasing sprees (totally related to my previous two mentions...) this past few months has been limited a little to mostly reduced-in-price sets and CMFs which is a good thing as I do still have sets sat unopened or only partially opened since January (post-Christmas sales...). I have built plenty of MOCs this year, not only for the layout at BW, but I have about six or seven MOCs set down in varied locations about my building areas that I need to photograph. As for other goals, I achieved my plan of figuring out new and interesting ways to build things and incorparate unusual or cool parts into a MOC. I ran a contest in Action and have more plans for 2013. What I still have not managed is a comprehensive sort and organisation of my LEGO... In fact I went backwards in that respect....
  14. Thanks for the link. That was an interesting one and these surveys always set me thinking about joining or starting a LUG myself.
  15. Frustrated once again to have her target felled before any contact Tesni growled and ran at River-churning Clam with Mellt from the front row.
  16. So many experiments in building to be had! I can't wait to get hold of those new parts!
  17. Sorry I took long on everything... Never fear, my next contest is smaller scale and therefore easier to run!
  18. Yes, post which one you want in here I was hoping everyone would so if someone wanted to change their mind.
  19. Tesni grinned and took Mellt her warhammer. "Boatman, you are in luck! The first ever to face my hammer of justice!" She stuck from the front row.
  20. Using plates seems like a good idea, but you also stand to triple the area-loss ratio from stud/tube clutch. Clutch works by microscopic difference in space under the brick to space taken up by the studs. Not a problem with an average sized build, a massive issue when spread or stretched over a greater expanse.
  21. Both Brasso and Toothpaste are mild abrasives to put it simply. Toothpaste is made from China Clay (like porcelin) and brasso has a similar ingredient. The tiny particles abrade the surface but are so miniscule that you cannot see any scratches. The LEGO part is also not perfectly smooth else the paint would not stick, even paper isn't that smooth.
  22. The BBC has a very interesting feature today on the height possible for LEGO towers... Take a gander!
  23. We are really getting spoilt for choice on the female figures aren't we? So many different themes to go on and some great face prints. Sandy, the way this is going you are going to be able to produce a dress boutique next time you present to us all the gowns LEGO has created! Personal Favourites are: Roller Derby Girl - Great face print and the printed legs remind me of Pepper Roni's. I have also wanted roller skates since MB made some in the early 00s that were too small for LEGO figures. The vest is also a nice casal print to populate your city with and the printed helmet is a really nice touch, it could have been let blank but TLG added a spiffy print. Policeman - Well still not the classic British Bobby look I would really enjoy having, I do have a sot spot for those formal caps and the badge tile is a nice addition over yet another pair of handcuffs. Another great head print to add variety to a layout or MOC scene Mech Warrior - Robot Jox! Oh he looks just like one of those from that terrible 80s film! I love him . The printed head is a lovely bonus and adds possibilities for custom figures, again another part they could have left blank. Space Avenger - Love love love every detail there, I can see these being hard to find in AFOL heavy areas (No such issues here darlings). I hope we see that armour more often. Forest Maiden - The hair is interesting, I reserve judgement for IRL but the rest of her is lovely and new shield prints have been a favourite since childhood. The rest are also fantastic, mostly from a parts point of over theme or overall build. My sisters are dazzled by the starlet and mermaid and my brother is rather taken by the Chicken Man and Cyclops. I am looking forward to exploring the potential of the waiter's tray in MOCs and a new sword from the Knight shall certainly increase my armoury. All in all, another great series and another wonderful review.
  24. Golf champ and saviour of EB? Go Ace! And now go to sleep Boney and dream of the days when we don't get major 'splosions on the forum from CMFs!
  25. Good Grief! Will I ever make it to another Cardiff Beer Festival!!! Imma going to need lots of beers to make up for this...
