They are Different. I think they are ever so slightly larger in scale, like tiny action figures really. I can't pass judgement on the accessories as I am yet to purchase any. They sell small figure sets in the local supermarket so I can see the figure but that's it.

Very unimpressed considering all the LEGO section in one supermarket was virtually clear after a Christmas rush! So, I'm making a list, I'm checking it twice and in the new year, Peppermint is going to town!
