Help with identifying parts/sets!
Peppermint_M replied to WhiteFang's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I want to say KreO Battleship, the clue is in the chin sculpting on the head to be a "kreon" (Hasbro name for their brick figures). So not LEGO but certainly a recent rival. Black Fence is also from multiple vintage sets. -

"I see not why we cannot free a slave." Tesni shouted as she drove Cysgodion against Holy Fire Once more. Tarn repeats his attack. -

"Cysgodion, lend me your power..." Tesni drew the blade, "Time to go, Holy Fire." Tarn targeted the Craftsman with Lion's Heart. -

Tesni shrugged and walked after Hybros through the door. Tarn followed also. -
Heroica RPG - Quest #50: 108 Stars of Destiny
Peppermint_M replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
Tesni shrugged, she didn't really need much at all. "Do you require me to purchase anything?" She asked of Hybros. Ok, I'll try and remember to play Tarn -
Sun LEGO Promotions General Discussion
Peppermint_M replied to RaincloudDustbin's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Buy, Sell, Trades or Finds. Area specific give-aways, sales and places to shop are all kept here. -
That's a fantastic collection there and kept so well! You were and are very lucky to have all that. I remember the Helicopter set as one my Uncle's friend had and that Basic is really nice. I second the warm soapy water and hand-wash, you've got to treat old LEGO like a vintage car; care, attention and non-mechanical methods when cleaning.

"I'll check the pile of crates and barrels. Someone might be hiding in there..." Tesni kept Dryw in hand and took a look at the stacked storage containers. -
Eurobricks Event 2013 - Information Topic

I'll look into what is on offer. Cardiff and Bristol airports are the most sensible options for me to fly from as it is easy to get to them for continental flights. I will take a look for info and get back with my arrival times and such. -
Well, gives me time to get off and buy something. I spent my month's LEGO budget on clearance sets and keeping an eye on the local toyshop for further reductions... It seems distrabution here in SWales is more than a little poor so Chima is on the backburner for me.

"Swindler is he? Well, merchants know better than to argue with Cysgodion, anyway mister pale visage, do be a good fellow and fall on over like all of your buddies before us!" -
The Guardian, marking the anniversary of TLG filing patent on the LEGO brick has a look back on the toy as reported by themselves. It's a good read for anyone interested in that sort of thing.

Hmm, is that sign/flag printed or a sticker? Either way, the ! is a nice addition to a collection, I mostly buy clone brands these days for stickers and unique parts,

Shadows that Betty sounds like quite a gal, you'll have to introduce us Though Veronica might get a bit green eyed. I say LEGO, people understand what I mean, know I speak of the brand and it's products but then within my circle of peers, Mega Blocks are Mega Blocks and so on. But then again I associate with intelligent and brand aware people most of the time.

"Oh Dryw, my lovely blade, it's time to fight again, all these clumsy humanoids needed the bite of darkness but this pale little man, oh... He will be afeared of you." Tesni grinned as she drew the holy imbued blade. "Pale Gaoler, meet Dryw ar Zoot." -

Post about Cartoons and Anime you like
Peppermint_M replied to Peppermint_M's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Well, Urbance looks rather cool, will keep an eye open for that. I am catching up on Adventure Time, wishing MotorCity hadn't ended up as a lame duck, wondering when TRON will be on dvd, keeping up with MLP and looking out for some more cool cartoons to watch. I have a massive list on LoveFilm to rent so that should be good. -
Careful folks, people are very odd ducks all told. So someone took offence, that (unfortunately) is their right, just as it is ours to have a bit of a titter about reactionary types who are easily offended. Some just want publicity and those who publicise it want the footfall/clicks. It's all about money dear boy. Also, as a... well I hate to say femmenist... but I work in a male dominated field quiet happily, do not conform to any real stereotypes, happily go about my business and life without concern for the more abstract or forced social norms and have several hobbies and tastes that would be declared masculine (ah screw it, I'm a Laddette ok!) I must say that those StrawFems are a bit silly and just as attention seeking as any other group who builds ire to a children's toy over the more important issues around the world. Plus all of this seems to have overshadowed Toyfair in London and so far all I have seen is a quick shot of the concealed TLG area barriered off while the BBC business correspondent reported live prior to the show a few days ago...
