Heroica RPG - Quest #50: 108 Stars of Destiny
Peppermint_M replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Ooh, sparky! Good job you had that helmet on cariad!" Tesni grinned, "Hey Hybros, should I attack now? I'm still not in top shape but Cysgodion and I are itching to get hitting!" -
Thank you Penkid. First off, I'll have to check in why you can't make a new thread, with 44 posts that should be possible by now unless we made the threshhold 50 to try and prevent spam bots. Secondly, drawing a line under it, in all spheres, means it is done and done. No more mention of it is needed. I faced this issue with the Ninjago thread and wasn't quite as firm and had to keep on going in and making the request. One hopes that the bold and the underline means all you cartoon fans will maybe remember this time eh? So now you know; and knowing is half the battle. From here on please discuss the toy and related LEGO products. Thanks

He's a savant. A savant I say! Makes me want to go and build in 6-wide now, I escewed it a while ago after falling for the Speed Racer cars... Maybe I will have more resources for a while yet If I move to 6-wide for a while....

Tesni drank a potion. "If you say so. I'll finish someone off after that right?" -
Now, please think of rewording that, it sound dreadful. *falls over laughing*

Ok, so I will make a request: No more direct cartoon discussion here please. As with Ninjago, can you take it to Culture and Multimedia. However, if the subject of "X thing in cartoon would be a cool set, how/what can we do to recreate it" is permissable in small doses. Next: This is about the themes. Not the Ethics, presumed "racism" or portrayal of characters in the media. It's a toy, chances are kids are going to do what they feel like when they play, only slightly guided by what media they have watched/experienced. Case in point, a bunch of kids I know (through younger sibs and my sister's job in a primary school) they like the animals they like and adapt the story for their own ends. So, we are drawing a line under it thank you.

Good Grief, I am ! Quick Question: Who do you advise as a good seller of car parts? I am running low on wheels of all kinds, tyres, mudguards and hoods. So, you know, all the bits needed for a car...

"Woo, ruby. nice and shiny for my new sword." She gingerly sucked the burns on her fingertips, fire damage wasn't a real issue but immunity was enviable. -

"Sounds like a plan. Not like you to miss a battle and a show though Namyrra." Tesni cracked her knuckles and checked Cysgdion, too bad the enemy had just clung to life after that solid hit. -
FABULAND Vehicle: Lionel Lion's Limo
Peppermint_M replied to Ninja Nin's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That lion, he must have a garage the same size as his mansion... It's the gold chain isn't it? Just makes him look like more playa than a lake! Love how that captures the fabuland style but still looks like a sweet ride. -

Tesni looked thoughtful for a moment. "No... no, I can see how that could work..." She made a mental note to mention it later to Namyrra, who had missed the show. "Right, ok. Hi Small Sun, meet Cysgodion. I'm sure you'll get along famously!" -
Hey no worries! We were all newbies once and friendly moderators will help get you on the right track . Have you been able to track down anything for this project? Also, if you are planning on keeping the set for display/play then giving it a good solid base can do the world of good.
-
Hi, I think this will get more answers if it was in our Train Tech forum, so I'll move it over there so our loveable Trackmasters can share their expert advice and hard won experience.

it can be done with an acrylic paint and small brushes, or even paint pens, pens have the best finish. However drying takes a while and can sometimes require another coat or finer brushes/tips for more awkward creases. The rubber itself is a texture that means no prep-work or priming is required though. So there are advantages and disadvantages.

Keep on topic please (A glare at ye mister Alasdair!). Candy, you may want to introduce yourself here and get a star to match that car ( , but I would prefer similar in a shade of purple myself...). As for the original intent: Pick up the new set for some of the vital (thus expensive) unique parts that may be shared/interchangeable and use Bricklink.com to compare what you have with what you need. Then it is as simple as picking up the instructions for the old set and getting on with building! Another tip is to use BL for picking up the generic/cheaper parts you may need. Personally I have been going through my many Batman related books to create my own take on the cave and picked up the new set as a solid base of parts to work with. Anyway, good luck with that project, you'll have to share it when it's done

"Alright, I'll keep hold of this, recognise it Jun?" Tesni asked as they left the room. -
Uh, this is about LEGO Chima, not how terribly you treat your LEGO and thus what occurs... Or a debate on the ethics of discipline. Thanks.

Oh, Billund for sure! I have been going regularly to Windsor for years (annual family outing), whish is always fun, but Billund last year for the EB event was excellent! The environs and rides are great fun, some of which are better than the Windsor counterpart. You might want to take two days simply so you can enjoy it, the miniland, rides, sculptures and other attractions are not to be rushed through.

"Well, lets cut this dragon down to size eh?" Tesni turned her attention to the Single Horned Dragon, with Cysgodion -
It is such a convuluted issue that anyone in their right mind wouldn't touch it with a barge-pole in all honesty. Egypt has been in two themes now and "South America" was in one theme and a minifigure. So all in all it's pretty much unequal already.
