  1. And thanks to you for letting me know. It's really valuable for me to know that it works
  2. Have you read and followed this topic to the letter yet? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=48663 Otherwise, you should look here if you want to help: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=53912 (Please read the forum topics, the answer might be there....)
  3. I actually think this is very annoying, because you can't easily tell what the color was you wanted to copy. As it pulses, only for a few microseconds does it show the right color. No, I prefered the old one, even if that wasn't very pretty with seeing all the polygons. Yet, I can understand why they had to change it, becuase LU mode is now avilable to the general public. But I still challenge the LDD team to come up with something better (like maybe glowing/pulsating brick boundary box?) I've noticed this too. I normally don't work with big models, but I have one such model, and it crashes on me too now. However, if I turn off Advanced shading and Show brick outlines, it does work.
  4. Thanks so much for this marco, and that you carefull notes about the updates
  5. Wow, that sure was an old topic that was bumped cavegod. Bringing back a topic from 2008 isn't really best practice, if you know what I mean About the problem, please check this topic and try everything there first.
  6. Hello LDD friends LDD Manager 0.97 has now been released. The major update for this release is full support for LDD 4.1. As usual, download the application here Change log New features • Now possible to filter out to only view brick issues. Brick issues are defined as a) there is a color warning for that part OR b) there is a missing ElementID for that part • When importing files, the last imported file is now selected in the Model list. Updates • Considerable performance improvement when viewing very large files • Full support for LDD 4.1: => Brick Database version 372.1 => New decorations added (thanks Aanchir ) => New DbM palette => LDD Extended Mode • Updated the reference data from BrickLink (Items and colors) with latest data. A few small errors in the LDD to BrickLink mapping was also fixed. • The color warning feature has been upgraded to show two levels of warnings: => “Check if exist” warning when Lots for Sale is less then 5. => “Possibly rare” warning when Lots for Sale is between 5 and 15.
  7. In the mood for some fun? Then you might want to check this out small contest over at Lego.com.
  8. Yeah, it seems the new 2x8 has internal bracing in the LDD. That's the only difference I can see. About suppport, I suppose you're right that all LU Mode bricks are now supported (whatever that means - the digital quality of the bricks has improved a lot now (many brick bugs fixed) so they thought it was now OK to release them, but I really don't know.
  9. Reported to our friends at TLG!
  10. Hi there If your last MOC was moved here it was probably a mistake, because MOCs should be posted in their respective theme-forum here at EB. So I'm moving it to Special Lego Themes.
  11. Was was the exact problem - that you can no longer order the tan panel 1x2x1 or that you cannot see it in LDD?
  12. Hello all @Rash and Bojan - Jesper mailed me a new version of the debug LDD version here @Bojan - I forwarded your mail. On a general note, it seems many users have problems with the update process, i.e. if they completely uninstall LDD (and manually remove leftover files), then it works. So in that case I guess it isn't a problem with LDD itself, just with the installation/upgrade process?
  13. Send me a PM and I can send you my mailadress and you can send me the file and I can send it to TLG....or something like that And just to be sure - have you tried everything herefirst?
  14. Aanchir answers Ashir (Yepp, it's my twisted sense of humor again).
  15. Hi Just to make 100% - have you followed the steps here in detail: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=48663
  16. Absolutely great work Aanchir. Thanks so much for this
  17. Excellent, just plain excellent
  18. I got a mail from Jesper at the LDD Team in Billund. They need our help with understanding why certain computers will not run LDD after an update (or generally). This is what he wrote: So, if you are having problems starting up LDD, or in any other way, and your problem is not solved by following the step mentioned here then you should download this LDD version here. If you don't have any problems, don't download - there is absolutely no new features in there and this version is NOT supported by Lego in any way. Now, so what do you do with the result. The content of the DCLTrace.txt you can either zip it and attach as a txt-file to your post, or paste it directly in the post (depending on how much text there is) The .mdmp file you can attach to the post (zip first), or if it's too big, PM me to get my e-mail and I will forward to our danish friends.
  19. Try the steps in this topic and let us know how it works. @Zblj: hurray for one thousand posts
  20. I'm going to be honest and say that I too (belive it or not) can get feed up with LDD MOCs - they are simply not as alive as physcial models taken with a camera. I personally use LDD as a sketching tool and as preparation stage for physcial bricks, and I encorage everyone to try LDD from that perspective. I think part of the problem is also that many kids can easily start with LDD (no investment, just download), and after a few hours of play, they want to show the world what they did. This is natural, and understandable, but perhaps not on an AFOL forums such as EB. This is something the Mods of each of the theme forums here at EB have to look out for. Anyway, about posting in which forum. When the LDD forum started last year, we decided that MOCs should be posted in each theme, because you might want to get feedback and critique also if you design in LDD, and you get that best where the gurus hang out (Pirates, Technics, Town, SW etc). Only LDD MOCs with downloadable LXF-files or MOCs where you have technical questions should be posted in the LDD forum.
  21. Cool. Our first pirates ship with the new bow pieces.
  22. Did you follow the instructions here, specially the part of the unhiding folder? Otherwise I have to say that Andys solution is elegant and simple.
  23. More playing around with numbers. Here attached a zip with brick removed from PaB/DbM april 2011, and bricks added to Pab/DbM april 2011. Enjoy (a few elements may be missing from the files, but it should be 99% correct. If not, let me know.) DbMChangesApril2011.zip
