  1. No problem. And welcome to the forum
  2. And what did you hear? That kind of post is pretty meaningless
  3. If he ever creates an account on EB, he's out the door before he can say "LDD". That's what I can offer
  4. Cool - LDD Manager is on YouTube now. I just saw today that two persons have made tutorials on YouTube how to setup and run LDD Manager By TheUnbrickable - By FactionLU - Thanks guys! I got so inspired I'm working on a new version now Please let me know what new features you want!
  5. You are definitively right about that. There should be a time-out in case the server doesn't respond so people at least can use the program. EDIT: LDD seems to start correctly for me too now
  6. You got a point. And it would be nice if LDD could display a darker black when edge outlines are turned on at least.
  7. The reason for that is because if you turn of outlines, a pitch black color will not allow you to see the contours of anything black. You can mimic a pitch plack color though by using the color 109 PC Ir Black. Check out Aanchirs color topic on how to apply it.
  8. Hello all you LDD users out there. I notice many of you ask questions that has allready been cleared up in this topic. Please browse though the topic before asking. It's all there: 1) Yes, it's a problem 2) Yes, TLG is aware of it 3) Yes, it will be fixed 4) Yes, there is a workaround - temporarily unplug network cable while starting LDD 5) Yes, when it starts working it will be posted here AND...if you want to make a difference and let TLG know how many we are that are affected by this issue, then call TLG customer support - they will keep statistics and forward all complaints. Let TLG know how many we are And please...don't start going into conspiracy theories (unless you're ironic ) - LDD will not monitor your models, your keystrokes or anything like that. The internet connectivity is for making sure you've got the latest version. And that's also the reason why TLG does not want people permanently turning off the internet check. There might be important updates that you really want.
  9. I compared the Hideous Zipplebacks and I have to say they look pretty darned identical. Perhaps not much conceleation, but your version looks much better. I had thing thing happen to me too once, and then I asked the person to take the models down. Have you done that?
  10. First error is definitely a collision error in the vine. The second error however seems like an illegal build by TLG. I did manage to attach the assembly somewhat by rotating the axles, but there still isn't room for the string spool. Have a look at the attached file. Are you sure? I seem to get it to fit. If not, try if it will work with 76768. shelob_attacks_trytofix.lxf
  11. From what I was told, they were working on the problem, got it to work, but then it failed again. So I guess we'll have to wait....
  12. I've merged the discussion about LDD not starting properly May 31st 2012. Please discuss about this specific problem here http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=70324
  13. Regarding parts authoring, it can be a tricky subject. If parts are authored using data outside LDD, then there's no problem. However, if the geometry data comes from LDD, then it violates the EULA. I believe some Ldraw part authors are using LDD geometries as starting point when creating LDraw parts, but I don't know if they have been given permission from TLG to do this or not.
  14. About this issue. I mailed the LDD team and got a reply that they are aware of it and working on the problem. At least some comfort in that it's being looked into. For the time being I guess the best solution is to temporarily disconnect internet while starting LDD.
  15. I'm having problems too. At first I thought it was because I installed Google Chrome as default browser, but it seems more are having problems. LDD starts and then just hangs at the "initialization" screen...
  16. Adding to Aanchirs comment: BL-users are actually slowly updating all of BL:s old numbers to the new ones as they become known, so in the future I don't think we'll see so many XXXXa, XXXXb, XXXXc etc.
  17. It's a really good model. Thanks for sharing
  18. About the grill slope - it's not wider then any other bricks, but because the hole in a technique bricks i positioned a 10th of a mm above the LEGO standard, it will create a slight, slight bend/missalignment towards the brick above it (the angle plate in this case) and thus it's illegal. TLG designers have not be allowed to use this technique for 4 or 5 years now. It's also partly the reason why the 1x1 brick with stud on the side was developed, because that stud is in fact in System. About the technic plate - actually the central anti-stud of a plate is slightly recessed comparted to the bottom edge, and that's where I thought possibly the lip of the peg could fit. But on second thought I think this recessesion is less then height of the lip. So in my opinion - this is also illegal. Hm, wonder if the the Superhero sets were rushed to the market and did not pass normal model review. EDIT: Forgot to mention. As a workaround, you can place the grill slope (cheese grater) like this 1) Remove the 32000 and both of the 4274 2) Place a 87087 (Brick with one stud on side) 3) Place the grill slope (which will now fit) 4) Remove the 87087 5) Put the 32000 in place. 6) Finally, place the two 4274. Voila
  19. Very odd that the TLG designer was allowed to use that technique, since it's old news that this is illegal. It seems to because there is a 2x3 plate above that hinders full connection (in LDD). I've never seen this technqiue before. Looks like a borderline case of being legal or not.

  21. You got it. That was exactly the case I was thinking about too (and the only one I know). Do you know any more?
  22. Hi there Nice work To post in the LDD forum, you need to share the LXF-file. This is because the forum is mainly targeted against LDD as a tool and MOCs also need to be of general interest to other LDD builder. I'm moving to the Special Themes section. /Superkalle
  23. Since there is not LXF-file attached, I'm moving this to SciFi
