I have always considered these to be Nocturnus or Kaliphlin baddies. I have about 20 or 30 of them - just haven't posted them or used them in a build yet.

Itaria, I considered that head, but I was not that happy with it. I'd rather go woth the blank black head until Lego releases an appropriate head (hopefully). I had to wait until this year to finally get the correct hairpieces, so I can wait a little while longer. Wardancer, I did not end up painting the ears. I thought long and hard about flesh vs yellow, and decided it wasn't prominent enough to matter. I would rather have all flesh or all yellow, but between the CMF and LotR, I was forced to use both.

My Elven Armies: I already posted these in the Guilds of Historica forum, but I figured they were appropriate here as well.

Book II - Avalonia: Guild sign-up and Discussion

Another excellent build Wedge09 - Keep up the great work! Main Page Update I have updated the first post to include our current members as well as the current tasks and challenges. The list of Avalonian Lords includes anyone that has posted a task entry of free build entry. Simon, DeGothia, MikeyB, Wedge, HammerBro, Niku and Narbilu have all posted multiple builds and/or task entries. Kern, Penkid, Mpoh and Zach Mills have all posted at least one free build or task entry as well. I have also listed the Resident Lords of Avalonia, whose contributions helped us win Book I. Please let me know if you posted a free build and I missed it. Challenge entries also work - it's all about the participation, so PM if I missed you, and I will add you to the list. I'm hoping to see a decent number of challenge entries, and there will be a more far-reaching task coming up after Christmas. Map of Avalonia My next big task is to get the map up to speed. Legonardo did an amazing job on the Book I map, but I have to recreate it in a separate program, so this might take me a little while. The Order of the Dragon With the recent departure of so many members and the influx of new members, the Order of the Dragon is considering new members for initiation. The selection process is based off of the quality of the Lord, their forces and their holdings. hint: if you can get the first 3 tasks completed by the end of the year, it may help your chances. Of course if you're posting fantastic free builds, that works too. With the new year, the Order anticipates it will be at full strength, and the criteria for membership in the Order of the Dragon will be much stricter. Keep in mind that minimalistic task entries (4 figures on a plate for example) may not get full credit. There has not been a single sub-par task entry thus far, but I want to discourage throwing bricks/figs on a plate just to get an entry in. It's all about quality, not quantity. -
Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion

You need to invest in vests and cargo pants and take parts back on your person. You would avoid the luggage cost then. -

There are 3 Lego stores within 30 min drive of Brickworld in Chicago... -
MikeyB/Vlad - I will be posting some back stories, and I intend to keep them assembled and will be using them in builds. NM/Kabel - I will try to throw up a parts list - the Drow torsos are indeed from the Rohirrim torso, and the other 2 are from the Roman commander and Dori. Kabel - While the Elves often stay removed from the business of humans, all of the different Clans/factions are loyal to their respective Guilds with the exception of the Drow. Elves do not like to fight amongst themselves though, and would be loathe to enter combat against their brethren (except for the Drow). The Deep Shadows Clan is located on the border of Avalonia and Kaliphlin, but they are more aligned with the Avalonian clans. Nil - higher rez pics are located on my flikr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/29025875@N06/with/11377074875/ SK - I tried very hard to distinguish each guild AND associate them with existing heraldry if possible. I've been waiting to use the wolf and hawk shields from KK, as they are some of my favorite Lego shields ever. Some of these Elves started off looking jelly beany, but I tried to tone down the bright colors. Ecc - Legolas garb is just so... Mitgardian, I couldn't help but use the torso there. BTW, thanks for posting your Elves - it forced me to finally finish up mine and post them. Thanks for all the comments!

I hereby present the Elves of Historica as I envision them, from across the Guilds. I've had these mostly assembled for almost a year now, but I was waiting for the new Hobbit sets to make final determinations. I am sure things will change once wave 3 of the Hobbit sets come out. I will be significantly increasing the size of the Sacred Oaks clan and the Evergreen clan once I pick up my many Mirkwood Elf Army sets. I did borrow the TMNT helmet concept from Ecc, but I already had Legolas and the Fili or Kili torso slated for Mitgardia. I knew I wanted to use the TMNT helmet somewhere, but I hadn't really considered them for Elves before. C&C Welcome!

Penkid, Buurli and DG -excellent builds! Keep up the good work. CJ - welcome back! Please repost you sigfig, and there are 3 tasks and 2 Challenges to build for ATM. For those of you working on the Avalonia challenge, MikeyB's build is a perfect example of what could be submitted, but it does need to be a new build. -
I love these builds Yooha - keep up the great work!

Excellent build! The patterning on the walls and the black roof are very well done. I really like the interior as well, and the lighting effect really adds to it too. Great entry!

Yeah, that's what I have been thinking. Even though armored Elves (and toupeed Orcs) would have made MEA perfect, I am expecting them to appear in the third wave, along with armored Dwarves (Woohoo!)
-
Excellent build! I really like the boat, and the dark green building. I also like the roof of the sand green building, as well as the use of the baskets. Great build as always!

You really have fantastic builds! I would love to see an entire City by you some day. I really like the taller wall and all the irregular character to everything, but I am in love with 3 things - the door and it's hinges, the windoow above (and it's hinges) and the brown roof - these are all spectacular, and do not even look LEGO. Beautiful work!

Very nice build SK! It reminds me of a couple of Buurli's Mitgardian builds. I really like how you went for historical accuracy, and I like your stone work and your interiors.

An excellent remake of a beautiful build! I really like the new path on your build, and I also like the chimney and stonework in general. Gorgeous!

Book II - Kaliphlin: Guild sign-up and Discussion
Rogue Angel replied to SkaForHire's topic in Guilds of Historica
Sorry to hear that NM, sounds like a lot of woes have befallen Kaliphlinites lately. LDD might be the answer to your remote collection. Eryn, my brother had a herniated disc a couple years back and I really hope it subsides quickly. Ska, sorry to hear about your ACL, but hopefully it will mean more building time, something I have been lacking with my little one eating up all my time. -
I'm thinking Lego did not have a final concept to work from for the armored Elves, otherwise we would have seen an armored Elf or two. Plus they already got burned on Azog in the first wave

Mitgardia has always had a solid number of regular participants, and in Book II, Half of Avalonia moved to Nocturnus. We're rebuilding, so enjoy your run while it lasts..... -

I did consider starting a new topic, but I'd rather keep it here, just like our Tasks have been. The new members will check out the first post, but the existing members don't usually spend a lot of time there. -

You can enter it as a challenge entry, and if your entourage is present in the entry, this can also satisfy Task 2. Oh yeah, the prize for this challenge will depend on my luck at finding a certain Hobbit polybag.
