Yeah as much as I'd like it to not be true, the 10,000 cuusoo voters are more relevant than a handful of posters here who have no interest in it. For me it's a mixture of distaste for the tumbler and a disinterest in UCS, but I have no doubt a UCS tumbler would sell very well. Exceptionally well, I'd wager.

I think there's a difference, though. There's activism of some sort or another against basically all of "big oil" because it's removed from most people's world in the most immediate sense, we only see it at the pump basically so it's easier to oppose the other parts of the industry. Everyone goes to the bank though, and banking is a long standing institution that people don't have as much of a problem with even if "big banking" is a bad thing. Basically, a gas station would probably go over fine, just like a bank goes over fine. A drilling platform, drill ships, and things like that would not be received as positively since a lot of modern consumers see those as a necessary evil in even the best circumstances. I'm with you hoping the icebreaker doesn't just look like another Coast Guard boat though, not that I didn't like the Coast Guard boat. I'm just hoping for something a little heftier.

I agree, I'm ready for the Tumbler to die already. I've said it plenty before, it's a really cool vehicle. It's just not a batmobile.

Probably Dragon Masters, for nostalgia. They were the current theme when I got into castle. Even though Dark Dragon's Den isn't a very good set, I sure loved it when I got it as a kid! Plus I loved the dragon wagon and the catapult with the brick-built dragon head. Still one of my favorite siege engines. After them, the Lion knights from King's Mountain Fortress are pretty cool. As much as I love the fantasy line and the kingdoms factions, nostalgia kinda wins out.

I think Ant-Man and Dr. Strange are less likely to be skipped over simply on account of being newer properties for film. TDW and TWS are both sequels whose main heroes have been covered (and fit neatly into the Avengers Assemble sets, it's no coincidence in my mind that one of those has Cap and the other has Thor). I expect we'll see at least one set for Ant-Man and one for Dr. Strange. Hopefully the movie has them wearing semi-traditional costumes, I'd rather get comic-based looks for them than movie-based, which is why I'm actually glad we got Falcon based on the cartoon as opposed to Hawkeye's movie looks. It's been taken down everywhere that I know of. Marvel is making a point of ordering the leaked footage taken down almost everywhere it pops up. Give it a month or two, once TWS comes out we'll get a proper trailer.

Yeah I'm just speaking from the perspective of a non-X-men fan, in general, who has zero interest whatsoever in QS and SW. Plus I think they're a better addition to the X-men franchise than the Avengers. I can't complain either way though, with GotG and Ant Man and almost definitely Dr. Strange in the pipeline at this point.

Vision coming to MCU? Awesome. Now we need Black Panther. Well, not all we need, but he would round out Avengers better than Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, imo.

Well for one, Arctic is a summer line and the Sea Cow is in all likelihood going to be available to VIP members in less than two weeks. I am anxious to see the icebreaker, though. Could be really cool. Considering "big oil" is seen by a lot of consumers as "bad" (despite oil being required to make ABS plastic for Lego bricks...) it might not go over well to have a whole line promoting the industry. I'm betting that's why these arctic lines are drilling for fossils, as it is.

In fairness, Hawkgirl isn't exactly a longstanding traditional member of the league. It's more like she replaced Aquaman, and he got his spot back.

It's probably just a matter of it not actually being very "action-y," either. As others have said, they're kind of just using City for modern, realistic settings. Especially with this summer having Chima and Ultra Agents (and Ninjago? Dunno if there's a summer wave for that) sets on the "action" front. Maybe the reason I'm psyched about these is because I don't have an actual city display, myself. So I don't need them to fit into anything, really. I -can- however, use all those parkas and such for Mr. Freeze goons...

We've already pretty much covered it (and been asked not to continue by the resident mod). As detailed above, it would be easy to pick out of the others in a blind bag, and bigfigs would never be sold for the same $3-4 that the CMF figures go for.

Considering the Guardians are fugitives in the film, maybe they stole a Nova Corps ship?

The downside is they use it for really unique characters/variants that would probably go over really well in sets (Black-suit spidey, Green Lantern and Green Arrow come to mind), and the apparent exclusivity issues with the SDCC figs means we never get to see them in sets. It's a gift to those that attend, yeah, but it's also a bit of a slap in the face to their usual customers.

I don't get it either. I don't think they ever have (or ever will) made a statement as to their thoughts on how it's a benefit.

I was actually just joking, that if they "announced" it at SDCC it would just be a bunch of SDCC exclusives. Was poking fun at the fact that everything really good and unique is an exclusive there that nobody gets. I'm dreading this year too though, really sick of that nonsense.

Well he also said if there was a 4th it was such a little one he didn't actually see it. Hence skepticism.

Don't necessarily take it as gospel just yet. Don't want there to be disappointment when it comes out that they meant "four marvel sets, three of which are GotG." Which is likely. Also, we'd definitely never get an all-bigfig CMF. We won't get bigfig CMFs anyway, the whole bit with bigfigs is to only ever put them in sets that are $50 or more, from what I've seen. At least post-Fantasy Castle era, I know there was an inexpensive troll wagon that had a big one. None of the superhero ones are going like that though, or the LotR. Or the Star Wars, unless I'm forgetting something.

I don't have any of the biggest ones like Arkham or the Batcave, yet. That said I think my favorite might be the Riddler Chase or Two-Face getaway. I think both of those sets have good builds, play potential, and the best mix of figures.
-
Lego aren't stupid. There will be one, just gotta be patient. We haven't seen any of the GotG figs yet, likely 'cause they aren't done. Several will probably need new molds and all will need new printing and the sets are still months away, yet.

It'll be at SDCC, and the whole line will only be given away through small raffles at the convention, make sure that most consumers never get to see them. It would, of course. But that's not even the most obvious reason we'd never see that happen.

Yeah, my point was just that I doubt there's a whole lot to the inside of these buildings to make the set seem much better than it looks from the outside, which is not very.
-
No way in hell they'd do a big-fig in a CMF line. Those things already bump the price of the sets they come in up quite a bit.

Unless I missed something, this bike shop set isn't part of the expert series. More like a slightly more elaborate creator house, as I understand it.
-
Considering how much we've heard (and seen, in the catalog page) to the effect of 3 GotG sets, if there is something else it might be something really small like a polybag, possibly.

Do we know the ice breaker (which we haven't seen for whatever reason) isn't going to be the special summer release?
