  1. You rule at reviewing. I really enjoyed looking through this review. Thanks :)
  2. I love your MOC Anna - you've used some great techniques - I like the overall feeling that this MOC brings out :) @lightningtiger: SlyOwl has been using the hat technique for quite a few years now :) (but that does not make Anna's use of it any less good. Techniques are definitely meant to be used between different MOCers :) )
  3. That is excellent :) I love the design, and it's nice to see you make good use of the caveman
  4. It looks so smooth and simple. Just as things should look these days. Very modern, but still piratey. I love it
  5. Is this a contest, where I for example make a MOC that shows how a bunch of Blue Coats win a battle against a bunch of Red Coats?
  6. Hello. I have tried to re-install LDD many times, with no effect. I've never had any issues with other programs, so I don't know if OpenGL screws with my computer or this program. This is my graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 - latest driver. I guess I installed the video drivers regularly
  7. Hi guys. I've made a screenshot of how LDD looks on my computer: I use Windows 7, have a great graphic card and lots of memory and RAM, but it still does not work. Do any of you guys have an idea of what to do? Do I need to install something like a patch or a driver? EDIT: I can't work on the program, because it keeps "reloading" everything and things are black, as if there's something wrong with the graphic settings
  8. LEGO, Carlsberg... the women
  9. My favourite is the 6086 Black Knight's Castle. There are just so many excellent design features and the set looks bigger than its piece count...ish. If you understand what I mean
  10. Great review :) This should be indexed when somebody has the time :) Market Street is my least favourite of all the modular buildings, but it still is way better than what I could ever achieve with LEGO
  11. Thanks a ton. I might try this out if I can find some extra time
  12. Wow - this is excellent. I can totally picture this in the original movie I love the work you've done on the power generators
  13. This 3D art looks amazing. But I am not the only one clueless as to how it's all done. Do you take pictures of a LEGO brick and then load that into a 3D program, and then build the LEGO model (of for example an X-Wing) in a modded version of Lego Digital Designer that will let you load your own bricks? If not, please let us know how all of this is done
  14. Thank you Derfel Cadarn - I've missed seing new MOCs of yours. This one extremely well executed. I really love your style.
  15. What an excellent review. I've never been so much into Star Wars LEGO after coming out of my Dark Age, but this is one of the sets I've been wanting, that isn't a real space ship. Thanks for doing the review and making it feel like I was there in the building process.
  16. Yup - that was me. I found a set on ebay without this baseplate. Yours was in better than excellent condition. Thanks
  17. Excellent review. Thanks for doing it :) I remember getting three of four of these when I was a kid. They were excellent as supplements to my existing pirate collection
  18. It is never too late. First off, look at all the wonderful Pirate MOCs - You can use any kind of LEGO to create Pirate MOCs Second of all: Most of the 2009 sets are still in many stores, and will probably become cheaper closer to August when all the new sets are set to launch. But lastly: The classic sets, especially those from 1989-1993 are awesome, and the 1989 sets even mark a turning point for LEGO because the Pirates line introduced new faces :) It is great fun to build the classic sets and see the many new bricks that also were introduced. Have you checked out all our reviews? They should give you a good idea of it all PLUS: the theme WILL return, no doubt
  19. I still envy you for being able to buy a MISB set and opening it for the first time. Both my sets are comprised of two unfinished sets, that have (mostly) been bricklinked into completion But they were in total much much cheaper however. But still... to be able to be the first person to open such a classic. Wow Here are some of my quickly taken photos of one of my now complete sets :) http://s423.photobucket.com/albums/pp314/L...rentzen/Random/
  20. I must say I have rarely enjoyed a LEGO building process such as this one. The set is divided into several builds, and it is really a joy to witness the progress of the island from empty baseplate to thriving "trading post". All those minifigs, including the fabled Steve and the Admiral, add so much to the playability of the set. The large ship with its three sails and treasure holder is also magnificent - if there was a swoosh factor for sail boats, this would top the list
  21. What a great review. Thank you for sharing this
  22. Thanks for the nice review :) Luckily it's easily replaced if you go to bricklink.com
  23. I also think that the Rock Island Refuge is better than this set, but it is also a much larger set, with more features and accessories. For a set this size, I think it is a great design and a perfect mix of bricks
