This looks very very nice! I really like the clean design broken up by those earth colours in the walls. I feel that the tower should be somewhat taller due to how 'fat' it is ;) - other than that, there's nothing to say than 'excellent MOC' I can't wait to see where this is going - 20 48x48 plates... sounds awesome

oh Wow - that is really impressive work!

It's nice to see that people are still reading this article :)

Yeah, I totally agree on this. That is one awesome build. But so is the rest of your MOC - and it really fits perfectly with the official sets. Too bad I couldn't give you all five points

A Guide to building a Medieval Village

I am in awe... 1. You are simply amazing at building with LEGO. AMAZING I tell you 2. You selflessly share your techniques with the rest of us 3. That is the most excellent round tower I have ever seen built in LEGO -
Awesome review. I enjoyed reading it :) - and the pictures are really well taken. I think that all these new forest police sets look great - but I agree that this black Hot Rod looks bland... but for the price of this set, it's actually quite okay

Yummy - this is outstanding I would buy it - you got my vote :)
-
Wow - just 80 dollars You must've had many of the bricks in your collection. It looks magnificent :) Have any of you tried to build 'Town Plan' this way? Do you know If there are any rare bricks in that set? It could be fun to build 'Town Plan' through Bricklink

Thanks for your review - I am so much in love with these old classic houses (you can see for yourself in my "Classic House" article found in my signature) I may have jizzed a little in my pants when I saw the original box - to me, the box is such a huge part of the LEGO experience - I have actually managed to buy myself poor in boxes that I lost for some of my old sets from when I was a kid. Keep 'em coming (your reviews that is) oh btw, some of your bricks could use a good cleaning Thanks

Holy megabluck that is a wonderful creation I would love to see more of your work, and perhaps even some shots of this building along some of your other buildings if you have any. I see some really outstanding building techniques and great part uses al over - and I dig the balconys on the backside of the building.

This is a great thread :) Btw I just got the first batch of bricks from a BL order - around 450 parts from the CC inventory - among them the dark blue arch :) I paid a whopping 10 EUR for that part :( - I hate being a completist The process of ordering bricks ongoing is pretty exciting
-
Yeah I'm with you on this one - I think it looks great with those slim buildings in between the wider buildings. Plus the designs of the two in this "Pet Shop" are wonderful indeed
-
I am really in doubt - I don't know if I should spend the money on a complete set w. box and instructions or spend around 570 dollars on all the correct bricks (the rare door, the rare dark red slopes, the rare white panels etc.) from Bricklink... Do any of you know the average selling price for a used but 100% complete Cafe Corner? Is it 600 dollars or more? The reason I ask is that it costs 120 flippin' dollars to buy the two instruction manuals, and 75 dollars for a used box on Bricklink

Very interesting topic - I have plans to Bricklink/S@H the parts myself, and have made the wanted list on Bricklink I want to know from you guys: do you think that it is cheapest to buy from as few sellers as possible and that way save on shipping fee, or should I go for the cheapest bricks?

Very cool MOC - I really like your subtle and clean building style - but I'd like some more "action" on the actual beach - perhaps some animals, some plants or something along those lines. edit: I really love your use of the upside down bush on the palm trees
-
Oh my... You are so talented What a wonderful MOC. I love love love the roof on the far right side of the first picture. Simple yet beautiful. I also really love that roof second from the left. I love how you've built the dock's wall, and how you've placed the 1x1 grey tiles on the whole dock. The way you've surrounded the dock and houses with those tall palm trees and other plants works perfectly. The complete scene is full of life and it's great to see goats, pigs, chickens etc. mixed in with the minifigs. Great to see another MOC from one of my favourite MOCers

I'm pretty impressed! I really like his details on the walls, where he's used round plates. Overall a really great, clean built, MOC

Welcome back colour

Sweet - If I ever get my hands on a CC I will definitely order bricks to make an extra floor -
Welcome back colour
Lorentzen replied to MadManMingo's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
of topic: "Welcome back colour" - Tina Dickow? (Awesome artist) To answer your question: I think that the darkest brown colour in LDD is the dark brown that we also know from actual sets, and that's not the one used on the cafe corner. The middle brown is the one I think is used in the set: "Reddish Brown" I think... -
If they own a toy shop I am still baffled by the fact that they can open all those sets... Any toy shop would suffer economically from purchasing those sets just to open them, and not selling them. I would love to work at a toy shop that does that though... buy sets just to build them *drools*

Amazing build. I really like your solution for the civil cottages :) That white bird on the castle roof must be the biggest bird in the world though ;) I really enjoyed browsing these pictures

Lately I've been browsing the tube for LEGO sets being built The channel by nickname2002 shows two/three french people who own A LOT of LEGO The background for each video is made up of massive LEGO sets The video I link to here, has a great ending which include all the modular buildings and the Town Plan This should make any LEGO fan drool
