  1. I like it, well done! I love the angles of the wings - are they permanently like that, or can they be adjusted? I find getting such angles difficult, and when I do manage them they're never static so I for one find that very impressive. One thing I would do differently, though is try to find away to make the transition from red to dark red at the rear of the craft a little smoother, perhpaps by using smaller slope pieces or maybe some tiles on the top - unless of course the sudden change is a deliberate part of the design. I've never seen that cockpit in that colour before, either. Must be from my dark ages. Nice work. Will/Rocketbilly
  2. Welcome to Eurobricks, Ben! I love reading stories about how people become AFOLs....I'm sad like that You're really lucky to own those really desirable modular buildings, too! I'm lucky if my lego budget is £5 a week! hope you have a great time checking out the forums. I find reading reviews takes up a lot of my time here, so I highly recommend the reviews indexes. We've got some talented members here that's for sure, with MOCs, reviews...even art! Will/Rocketbilly
  3. My favourite directors are Tim Burton and George A. Romero, so pretty much anything by them...really want to see Romero's "Bruiser". Apart from that - Star Wars (as pretty mcuh everyone's said ) A Clockwork Orange The Crow Planet of the Apes series Pretty much any horror with Vincent Price Toy Story... I agree with a lot of other people's choices too. Will/Rocketbilly
  4. Mine arrived yesterday, absolutely fantastic figs, none of which I had in my collection before. Thankyou so much CopMike! very generous! Regards, Will/Rocketbilly
  5. Wow...that was a fast reply! Thanks for clearing that up...I feel stupid now Regarding my PSP, I think it's just got to get used to finding the new ISP or something, as the site works fine when I move away from the frontpage. The PSP is a fickle beast... Must say, you're really doing a top notch job, Bonaparte, and now I know that my "problem" wasn't actually a problem I can safely say the site is fine and noticeably faster than before. Great work! WIll/Rocketbily
  6. Not sure if this has anything to do with the new server, or even if it's a bug at all, but I've not experienced it before and it's been constant since the swith of servers. When I open Eurobricks in my browser, Mr. Bonaparte's post regarding the new server change is right at the top of the page, even when there's some new frontpage news it remains at the top with the new stuff beneath; I have my suspicions it's intended to be that way, but just in case thought I'd make note of it. Also, when browsing with my PSP I'm getting a message asking me if I want to run a plug in every time I open/refresh the frontpage, and this is also post server switch, though I think that might just be my PSP. Sorry if I'm wasting time with my poor knowledge of the working of a forum! regards, Will/Rocketbilly
  7. Thanks, Copmike! This Raffle is really generous...and I'll also add the old cliche "I've never won anything before!"... So excited. Copmike is awesome! Will/Rocketbilly
  8. I think it's just Lego being cautious, with illusions of Xenophobia or whatever you want to call it as a side effect. I've also noticed that the Space Police are unusually agressive towards those who sport a skull belt buckle. I can hear my little squad of SP officers all conspiring against me as we speak. I'll be bombarded by trans green. Seriously though, I think it's jsut Lego's way of keeping the "bite" intheir action themes without Lego seemingly encouraging youngsters to laser each other. As many people have said! Will/Rocketbilly
  9. Ah, right. I've looked at the speedboat sets, andI can't see any new helmets....I was really hoping for a black versionof the SP3 helmet. It just appears that we're getting aviator caps with goggles...unless you could provide a link with the pic you were looking at? it's highly likely you're seen something I've missed. I'm good at missing details Will/Rocketbilly
  10. Are you sure that the black biker has a new helmet? looks like the normal one we've had for years. Do you mean the fellow on the Lime green bike by any chance? Will/Rocketbilly
  11. Thankyou, Prateek Looks like a nice little set, but I was hoping the (no doubt) bad guy torsos would be more "biker" centric as opposed to the classical racer style of the blatant good guys. I'd rather them have, for example, studdend leather jackets, not these flame and checker adorned ones. Oh well. It's also been so long since I've seen yellow hands in an "action theme", the figs just don't look right at first glance Will/Rocketbilly
  12. Any clear pics of the bike set yet? or any clearer, close-ups of the figures?
  13. You're right - though I had to experiment with a few different combinations of pistols/megaphones to get a pair that seemed matched and would hold firmly, and I only have the one ski piece at the moment though I doubt that adds any integrity to the weapon itself. I've been designing some over the top weapons for SP3, and the Exo Force line has indeed been a fantastic resource for a purist like myself fed up of using Star Wars blasters and megaphones to arm the Alien Resistance with Will/Rocketbilly
  14. It might be my dodgy vision, but it looks like the red Skull win in the Police HQ set uses the longer limbs like the Toy Story Woody figure. I'm probably wrong though, he just seems very tall. Will/Rocketbilly
  15. Thankyou, Darth Legolas. What an obscure looking contraption! I'll have to cobble one of those things together. Doesn't look too stable though! Regards, Will/Rocketbilly
  16. Thankyou, Saint. I'll have a good old browse now! Will/Rocketbilly
  17. I like the look of this "new" theme - I've been wanting to get into the Fantasy Era Castle sets, but since it's currently in what, it's fifth wave? I found it difficult to really "join" the theme, as I like army building (in moderation) and all of the older sets were unavailable to me, it was hard for me to buld a Troll army out of King's Battle Chariots and Dwarves mines...far too expensive. So the beginning of this theme ( and the cheaper sets) let's me start at the same time as all you others, instead of getting that sense of "Arriving late". Though the fact that the Dragon Knights are outnumbered in pretty much every set frustrates me. Also, there's something about these sets that seems very "sterile" to me. Not sure what exactly it is. Something about this theme looks like it belongs with classic smile heads...it looks so "80's". Not sure I like that, but the theme itself is pretty nice. Wow. I really abuse quotation marks. And that was a great looking set, Klaus Deiter! would love to see a set of that style released for the Kingdoms line. Will/Rocketbilly
  18. To anyone who owns the Exo Froce set 7709 - Sentai Fortress, I have a question or two. I watched a video review of the set, and the reviewer pointed out a picture of a few weapons on the box - I believe there were two guns. They looked nothing like guns produced before, and I think they were brick built. I can't find anything about them on the web, and the video review is somewhat blurry closeup, so I'm relying on Eurobricks, so any help would be greatly appreciated. So my questions for you lucky owners of the set: Were the weapons supposed to be used by minifigs or mechs? and the secon question: does anyone have/know of any pictures of these weapons, or maybe instructions for them? Thanks for reading! Regards Will/Rocketbilly
  19. I replied to this before, but my internet messed up... I really like this...andsince I showed this to my girlfriend, she now thinks Lego is doing a "fashion" theme , wish I had the parts to create something magnificent like this. Oh and is the middle guy holding an iPod? definitely looks like one! Great MOC! Will/Rocketbilly
  20. Regarding the tridents: I have two Manta Warrior impulses and two Wreck Raider sets. The tridents that came with both Manta Warriors are the soft, bendy kind that shed little curls of plastic when used in a minifig hand; but the ones in my Wreck Raiders are noticeably different in a few ways. They appear to be slightly shinier, though not bx much. They are also FAR more resilient and are much, much more stiff and don't even take marks from being gripped by a fig like the others.
  21. I thought that that poster looked like an ad for a Lego Prince Of Persia videogame, though it's unlikely they'd do that with such a new theme...."Spiked Whip assasin" is there, too......interesting weapon. Not a great loss that he's no longer in the chepest set now. Will/Rocketbilly
  22. Grdat review! though it's a simple product and not really a set per se, I can see why these little gems are so desirable, and that collector number thing shows you you've got something special...would have been nice to have gotten perhaps some character bios though, that would have been cool...also, shouldn't the title of this post read "" SDCC" instead of "SSDC"? unless I'm missing something. Regards, Will/Rocketbilly
  23. Wow! I actually won something! Thankyou so much, Copmike I'm stoked! Will/Rocketbilly
  24. Yeah, me too. I'm hoping that we'll get our snow during the night; and what with our days being very short, that means less evil sun to melt it!. We didn't get as much snow durig the day here, only a brief, gentle fall for about half an hour, then random little drifts every so foten until about maybe four-ish. Perhaps we're going to get a white Christmas Will/Rocketbilly
  25. Love the snow! Are we expecting as much as last year? I doubt it, because it was further into Winter back then.... But still, here's hoping. There was a really bad accident right outside of my house, both of the roads leading up to my house have been closed as a result, so we're pretty much stranded for now. How's everyone else doing with the snow? Will/Rocketbilly
