Wow! fantastic figs. Can't wait to get my hands on some Atlantis sets! One question regarding the Squid guy, though...how do his "legs" attach to his body? Do they attach via normal studs (like on bricks) or do the attach via the "Pegs" we get on normal Minifig legs? Will/Rocketbilly

That's a preliminary image - I think the piece count has gone down cince then Will/Rocketbilly

I used to sing in a band, and I wrote the lyrics too, though we more often than not played covers. We were mainly a punk/emo band, but a lot of my lyrics gave us some Horror-Punk elements too. Since most of my friends left to go to Uni, we of course split up, though we want to play together again when they we're all off at once,so I suppose we're technically on hiatus. Great thread! LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion
Rocketbilly replied to Nabii's topic in Special LEGO Themes
You can probably count on me when the time comes Either that or I infiltrate a school and pose as a schoolkid to try and do some bartering. Though there could be some very severe implications if my cover gets blown! Can't wait til these come out. Will/Rocketbilly -
Yeah, I know what you all mean about the grin, but I had to choose: Pale skin but scowling face, or trademark grin but with Fleshie skin. In the end I thought I'd rely on the other trademark - green hair- to carry across the "I'm the Joker" message. I suppose it's the curse of Purist customs. The reason for the arms is this: the purple torso is meant to represent a wasitcoat - and the grey arms represent the sleeves of the shirt he's wearing underneath. Then we have white hands to represent skin, as TLC dont do a glow in the dark hand to match the head. I know it's not perfect, but I did the best with limited pieces Thanks for all the comments and constructive criticism! Will/Rocketbilly

I read this: "Figures will be sold in opaque polybags, so it is chance that determines which figure you get. This is the same approach as in the example trading cards. The bag with the figure will cost 25 SEK. May seem much given to impulse setter costs only £ 5 more and then there is also the accessories" a page or two back in the thread. Now I read it back, I realise an impuse, when you can find them here, is about £2 apiece, like you said Etzel. Silly me! Thanks for clearing that up Etzel Will/Rocketbilly -

Wait a second, just read this....£5 per figure!? surely that can't be right? Similar products like those Crazy Bones GoGos and those football cards are what, £1 - £1.50 a unit? Surely this is wrong? While that's a good price to pay for a collectible figure, especially compared to the prices they're likely to cost on Bricklink, I doubt the target audience, kids and their parents would consider that a good price for a single Lego fig, especially since you can get two figures and a small model in the £3.99 range of sets like the Stone Chopper. I imagine something got mixed up? Will/Rocketbilly -
Space Police is exclusive to Lego brand stores and S@H only here in the UK - no other shops carry them including TRU. A shame, but what can we do. However, I'm not sure if its the same fort he 2010 sets as it's early days yet, but I doubt it. Will/Rocketbilly

13 is my favourite - he's very similar to me, he just needs some eyeliner and darker clothes and then..instant sig fig Has anyone else noticed that 13 and the Caveman's hair look VERY similar? perhaps they're the same piece and the beard is separate. I love these! Will/Rocketbilly -
Thanks! I did consider that face, but I thought having a pale face was more distinctive as the Joker than a crazy grin - I wanted my Joker to be a little "Grungier" than the comic depiction and the official TLC version. The outfit, might I add, was inspired roughly by The Dark Knight. Will/Rocketbilly Thankyou! And thanks very much for the link to the tutorial - incredibly useful and just what I was looking for Will/Rocketbilly

A little while ago I posted asking for help creating a Purist Joker minifig - while the suggestions were top notch, I decided to stick with my original plan, as the other heads weren't pale enough! I do intend to use them for Joker henchmen though. Here's a link to him on Flickr, as I have no idea how to deeplink from Flickr, sorry. http://www.flickr.com/photos/44977578@N06/...in/photostream/ I know he's not fantastic, but..

Agents 2010 Sets Rumor
Rocketbilly replied to diggitydug's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I agree. I spend a lot of my time online browsing Wikis, and I find them very useful, and 99% of the time are perfectly reliable. I can honestly say I'd be lost without the Fallout Wiki They are, for the most part, written by very knowledgable and intelligent people. It's just you sometimes get people who just want to edit them with wrong info for a cheap laugh. Anyway, didn't mean to ge toff topic - so it's pretty much confirmed this isn't real then, this "Agents 2010"? Terrible shame, but I didn't expect Agents to come back. Will/Rocketbilly -
Agents 2010 Sets Rumor
Rocketbilly replied to diggitydug's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
As much as I'd love for Agents to return for 2010, it seems very unlikely, and these set names reek of fakeness. Reek I tells ya!. Why? well for a start, there's a lot of escaping going on. I count....four sets with escape in the title? Numerous "action" phrases are used multiple times. With a company that's all about creativity, you'd think they'd be able to come up with some better names So yeah, I'm going to say fake. Shame. Also, 13 sets seems like a lot. It's the same amount of both Agents waves combined. Will/Rocketbilly -
Here is a link to my entry: I cannot deeplink images using my home computer, I'll have to wait until the weekend to deeplink it from my girlfriends computer with broadband, is this allowed? sorry if it's not, you can just exclude me if I can't deeplink it before the deadline. http://www.flickr.com/photos/44977578@N06/4132276086/ It's Santa's slightly insane brother, terrorising the poor Minifig family's Christmas picnic in the frozen wastelande. Serves them right, really Hope this is acceptable! Will/Rocketbilly P.S good luck everyone!

You certainly can! I'm just waiting on some green hair, though I may end up buying River Heist, in that case I'll have the hair sooner. Either way, when he's complete I'll make a flickr account and post it here. Will/Rocketbilly

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion

Nice find! Look slike a Wild West themed minifig - though I'd say it's from the Lego Universe game, not a line of sets. Unless of course Klaus-Deiter's petition made a HUGE impact on TLG that they decided to create a new WW theme in about a month I wish Still, glad to see TLG still thinks about Western designs, and I can imagine that if we do see another WW theme, then the minifgs wouldn't be too far removed from this fellow we see here. Here's to hoping. Will/Rocketbilly -
Drat! you're very luky to have had that brief glance Obviously being the token "battlepack" set of the theme, I'll buy one as I really want to increase my collection of fleshie figs. I hope there's a diverse selection that can be used in other themes, but I can almost guarantee the parts selection will be great. I'm thinking it'll be a cross between Ambush in Cairo and Jungle Duel.

Thanks for that little nugget of info, Etzel! So is there any way we can see this picture you speak of, or is it confidential? You make it sound good though, can't wait to see what Minifigs are in it! Regards, Will/Rocketbilly

I got fed up with 3D stuff when I was about six - I got a fortnightly dinosaur magazine and it had a 3d picture each issue. Though it was good for channel Four to try something new for a change. Gok Wan in 3D!? I'd rather watch Derren Brown in good old 2D. Will/Rocketbilly

Thanks for all the help guys. Some really great ideas Will/Rocketbilly

I'm trying to make a purist Joker minifig, so no decals, painting or mods. I'm finding it hard however to find a useful torso or head. I'm going to use the Dollar Bill hair from Agents, and at the moment I'm using the glow in the dark Snape head, but I want something a bit more "Joker-esque". I'm using the prof. Quirell torso at the moment, but also want something a little more accurate. And of course, I can't afford any component to the real Joker fig at the moment. Any ideas that could help me, anyone? Will/Rocketbilly

Nice find Thanks for posting, those figures really do look fantastic. I love htat new pauldron piece too. Just wish we'd be able to see some sets by now. As a side note, is that Space Police set with the orange canopy an official set? off topic, I know....sorry. Regards, Will/Rocketbilly

It's not Kit Fisto, It's Garindan! or whatever.....sorry. Somebody had to say that . Seriosuly though, at least he serves a function in this set. Kit Fisto rocks, I'll be sure to pick him up. I think this set looks pretty good, and would look great next to the V-19 Torrent. I may actually get this set now, now we've seen proper pics. It's either this or the TIE for me. Think I'll go with the TIE in the end though....I'm a sucker for black! Will/Rocketbilly
