I'm glad we're getting cheaper, smaller Star Wars sets with important characters in them again. The line up looks pretty good for next year, definitely. One question though, for some of you more knowledgable about the theme - do you think the speeded bike in the battle packs will include saber hilts as part oft he construction, like a few other speededrs have had? I hope so....I really hope they are black! I can see a figure in the background, but I doubt it'll be another figure int he set. Just some rock formation or scenery. I suppose I could be wrong but somehow I doubt it's anyhitng important. Shame, though. Regards Will/Rocketbilly

Damn! I found out about this about a week after it happened. I live about 15-20 minutes away from Leicester, and often go with my girlfriend at the weekend. What a shame. Also would have been a great excuse to revisit the Space centre, not been there since my 14th birthday! Looked like great fun, I hear BrickArms were present? So gutted I missed out! Will/Rocketbilly

This is a great idea - and what a great incentive to get picking our favourites! I've recently just got into SW sets, after brief flirtations with the theme, and so I've spent a lot of time recently browsing these MOCs so I'll post my favourites without further ado. 1: Blackjack Starfighter by Roderick - I love the colour scheme for this, and the shape of the fighter is lovely. Very sleek. 2: Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter by DutchRebel - Big fan of the JSF, and this is by far the best MOC I've seen - lovely colours, andt he patterns are simply beautiful. 3: Clone Wars Snowspeeder by def - My favourite Clone Wars vehicle, and a brilliant resemlance. The final version of this MOC is the most accurate, but I prefer the first version myself. 4: Dino Pod-Racer by Big Pete - I was familiar with this MOC way before I was familiar with the theme in general. An outstanding MOC - creative, funny and well built. 5: What if...? by Der Seb - This is charming. I really, really like this. And thats look like a very natural sphere, so much respect for that too. It's also pretty funny. And very creative! Well, there's my favourites, and it was surprisingly hard to choose! I'm very interested to see what others pic Good luck everyone! To be honest, if this list is indeed true, and given that it's Bionicle's tenth year, I expect these to be a sort of "Greatest hits" assortment of sets. I have no idea how they'll pull it off - they're all differnt sizes, will all use a HUGE variety of different molds, and not to mention THEY HAVE NO PROJECITILE! I'd hate to see a classic set like Tahu Mata gaining a huge blaster. BUt I don't knowwhat's going on. I HOPE they are sets releases SURPLUS to the canister sets we've been expecting. I hope that's the case. After all, Bionicle deserves some big celebration for it's anniversary. Star Wars gets it, and Lego didn't even think of Star Wars themselves, so it makes perfect sense for Bionicle to get som sort of celebratory releases too. Even if it'll just be a chome gold Hau keyring or something equally as crap. But hey, nobody knows for sure what we'll get. We just have to wait for those lovely leaks :) Will/Rocketbilly

Congratulations, Erdy (if Imay call you that) Reading your posts, you seem like a nice guy, and you certainly deserve the promotion! regards, Will/Rocketbilly

Hello there, and welcome to Eurobricks. It would appear a number fo the sets you've got are from the Bohrok range, as well as some Rahkshi and Visorak. You also have Brutaka (big blue and gold one) and Ehlek (green fellow with rubbery spines on his back). There's a few Toa Metru, Toa Nuva and Bohrok Kal in there too, but I'm not sure of the individual names. Sorry I can't be more of a help than that, but you've certainly got a collection of sets spanning a lot of years Regards, Will/Rocketbilly

Thanks for clearing that up! When I first saw it I thought it was just one of those mini scale ships......those minifigs really can fit into some odd places Looking at all those details really has made me want the set, but I'm sure that in the future when I'll be able to buy it, it'll be SO much more expensive, what withit being Star Wars and everything. Still, it's a beautiful set Ahhh, thanks for clearing the scale issue up too! I thought there was something fishy about the size. Now you've pointed it out, it's definitely way too small! Will/Rocketbilly

Well done, it looks like a great MOD! I like how you've actually given the pilot something to steer the ship with! I've been meaning to MOD mine a little further, at the moment I've just taken off the curved slopes from the engines and added a small plate to the bottom to keep the front wing parts firm, it annoys me how they roll around everywhere. I don't think this set deserves all of the negative reviews it's had, though I know it's certainly not the best set in the line, it's a decent little set, and if nothing else it serves as a great parts pack for building inthe theme. Regards, Will/Rocketbilly. P.S welcome to Eurobricks!

A good idea, sir! I wish I had the Death Star set, but saying it's rare I even get to spend £20 on a Lego set at once, I think it's a little out of my budget However, these lovely little TIEs look like a great way to "experience" a little bit of that set, and from looks of it, I'll be able to make one myself, albeit with a horrendous colour scheme I think it would be a great idea to make more ships in this scale, so good luck with anyone attempting it! I have one question, however, how do the minifigs fit in the vehicle? I presume one lifts the lid of and places the fig in the cockpit, though I'm unsure. I'm also unsure as to what scale the Death Star TIE is - is it smaller than it should be in real life (the film) or is it still too big, like the big TIE sets we've had before it? Regards, Will/Rocketbilly

Congratulations, sir! Nice to see a good dose of "Animal Rights"! regards, Will/Rocketbilly

Haha....all these are wonderful! Very well done everyone. The T shirt I'm wearing now is for ages 8-9, ( I'm not sure me being able to fit into child's clothing is a good thing or a bad thing haha) so I'm lucky I wouldn't have to hack mine up if I had one or I'd surely destroy it! :) But these really are very well done! I've done something similar to this before, but with a non-Lego t shirt. And it turned out horrendously bad! So....much respect for you talented lot for not screwing up :D Will/Rocketbilly

Bricklink Seller Customer Service?
Rocketbilly replied to Vestabuyer's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Whilst their response at first glance does seem a little harsh, and whilst this has been stated above they probably had a bad day. I'm lucky enough to have not had any problems on Bricklink - in fact, due to problems I was having at the time, I took almost a month to send payment for one order, and whilst the seller understandably got alittle annoyed towards the end they were never impolite, and we did business as normal. I don't blame you for not spending your money with them, though. I wouldn't like to have that message but if they are amking their living off Bricklink, I suppose they have every right to be anoyed. But they should at least have handled it in a slightly more......mature fashion. Oh, and welcome to the forum! Will/Rocketbilly -
As long as Lego is making money from both themes, I don't see why not, though I can certainly see Indy ending in the near future, I think it's got a lot left to give, and I can imagine Lego already has a lot of sets in production now for the next couple of releases. If anything, Indy might take a break for a while, and return witha new Indy film. After all, Star Wars has been going for a long while now, and there are very rarely any "Grounbreaking sets" - they're all ships and the odd ground vehicle, with battlepacks thrown in. With Indy, however, whilst there's potential for, say, more planes, more trucks, more boats etcetera, there are plenty of other ideas for sets that TLC can make too. I can imagine massive UCS Indy sets, for example - the big German zeppelin would make a good set to be the Indy equivalent to the Venator or Millenium Falcon. Something like that, at least. Whilst we really have to see the Prince Of Persia movie to see what kind of sets to expect - I don't think there will be a lot of similarites with Indy - there are alot of things similar to Indy, like traps and obviously the Minifigs, but really, do we really expect to see a Nazi Biplane flying through the sky? or motorcycle chases? I think the POP line will be more like Harry Potter myself. And besides, There are four Indy films, and one PoP film - Indy certainly has more material to draw from. And when PoP dries up, well all of thoseparts can be used for Indy sets, that is, after all, the beauty of our beloved Lego And besides - even if TLC runs out of ideas for original sets, they canjust release a set of figures and a handful of bricks and charge £9.99 for it, and we'd still buy it Basically, what I'm trying to say is that we'll have to wait to see PoP, or even some of the sets, before we can make a judgement - we can't judge this line on Minifigs alone. My only fear is that TLC will end up producing more licensed sets instead of their own. Will/Rocketbilly

Nice work there! If I ever get the volcano base, I'll add it to my Inferno Base MOC, which is essentially my own version of the Volcano, just in grey. I really like all the little details you managed to put in here, D Zasters labs is particularly good! I also like how you can actually reach the laser inyour version. Very well put together. Suggestions for an Inferno HQ?
Rocketbilly replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I think it would be awesome if you could incorporate some sort of monorail system - perhaps with various different types of platform - like a troop carrier, supply carrier etc. Perhaps a room where Inferno's henchmen can respray and refit captured Agents vehicles? or a cyborg production facility...or a shark tank.....or some tanning beds! Wait....scrap that last one :) Will/Rocketbilly -
Welcome to Eurobricks, friend. Hope you enjoy your time here Will/Rocketbilly

Mine would have to be spiders. Well I'd better clarify, actually - the small ones I'm completely fine with, anything about the size of a tarantula....is not good. It's the legs really, I don't like the way they move, I just find it rather unerving. To that effect, crabs, too. Anything with multiple legs I can see moving......though strangely, centipedes and creatures to that effect I don't mind, probably because the legs are so small, I don't notice. So, to summarise my ramblings: I'm afraid of the way the legs move. If that makes any sense at all! Will/Rocketbilly

That's superb, really great details on that, and is that a Canadian flag I can see? Not entirely sure though, But it's a nice little detail whatever it is. I especially like the shape, this is better than those Star Wars tanks by a mile. Oh, and welcome to Eurobricks! Will/Rocketbilly

Thanks for all the welcomes, everyone. I appreciate it! Now.....for a trip to Briklink I think. Don't think I'll surfacce for a few hours Will/Rocketbilly

Mine arrived yesterday, and I checked for glue drops on my loose engine piece - I didn't get any glue drops. I feel kind of left out now However, when I came to building my second set, Gold Heist, there were glue drops on the DSS. I wonder if this is just a problem with the Space Police line, I've no heard anything about it from other themes. Will/Rocketbilly

Welcome aboard! not sure if I'm "Qualified" to welcome you, what with me only being new myself, but still.....welcome aboard! pleased to meet you. I know how you feel about your circle of friends.... if only they knew what they were missing Will/Rocketbilly

After lurking around for a while, and making the odd post, I thought it was about time I introduced myself formally to you all....so here it goes. I'm Will....also known as Rocketbilly, obviously. I don't really like talking too much about myself, so this is a little awkward My favourite themes as of present are Agents, Space Police and Bionicle. Black is my favourite colour, it's practically all I wear, I'm an art student. I wish I was more musically talented. My favourite genre of music can be best described as "Alternative Rock" - my three favourite bands are... The Cure, My Chemical Romance and Gallows. I really do love this site, and as I become more familiar with posting, avatars, sigs etc, I will hopefully become far more active. It really does feel like a community here, I'm happy and proud to be a member of Eurobricks, and the entire Lego hobby, really I think that's enough kind regards Will/Rocketbilly

Ah, thanks for clearing that up for me. Funnily enough, I ordered this set along with Gold Heist a few days ago, should be coming in the next couple of days! I wish TLC produced orange minifig hands.....as far as I know they haven't. Will/Rocketbilly
-
Ah, all is revealed What a cool idea. well done! Thanks - I've yet to post any of my MOCS, but I plan to soon, then I'll have....a load of Agents MOCS, a few Space Police MOCS, and a few "Space Pirates" MOCS too....and maybe a Bionicle I was working on , but I'l have to see with that one. So a lot of MOCs posted at once. Silly me. Will/Rocketbilly

Wow. Really nicely done. I can't afford the Turbocar Chase set, so I bought the green creator car set instead...Street Speeder or something. I modded it to fit a pair of minifigs, gave it hidden computers and pup up missiles in the back.... anyway...getting away from my point now It's a great MOC, It looks a lot more streamlined than the original, which I thought was a little too bulky. So, this fits in the back of your Lorry, does it? Awesome! A great MOC. Will/Rocketbilly
