Really try to get into Nexo Knight but I think the whole theme is a mess. The 'awesome' villains or minifigs are only found in the expensive sets which in my opinion is bad marketing and the reason why I gave up on this theme. Lego take notes, not everyone watches the TV shows. If you want your 'Action' theme to do well in the future (and we all know how we are a sucker for awesome minifigures), you need to mix up the fig a bit and not just have the nice cool minifigures in the expensive sets. I want to buy some of the sets in the 'lighting wave' because they have cool minifigures, but cannot justify spending minimum $50-80 just to get one fig. And when you look on ebay or bricklink, a lot of the good figures are not listed because no one is buying the expensive set to get a cool minifigure.

I thought I would never be into brickheadz, but out of curiousity, I bought my first two yesterday, captain America and iron man and now I'm hooked. They are simple yet charming. I want to collect them all. It's such a shame that I could never complete them as the comic con and special promotion ones are hard to get and extremely expensive on ebay or the likes. I've seen the leaked of the justice leagues. Although the pics are not very clear, in my opinion, they're not as good as series 1. Aquaman just looks terrible, like a sad uncle. What is with the moustache? Wonderwoman is not as good as the comic con's one, but good enough. Flash and Cyborg is a pass for hardcore collectors. Kylo ren looks quite good and I don't think Rey looks that good. I'll wait for more pics before I make my final judgement to purchase or not. It's a shame that Boba is a promotional fig as I think he looks the best out of what have been released so far. I hope Lego continue to release more brickheadz with different licence characters. Looking forward to official pics to confirm series 2. By the way, what is everyone's favourite brickheadz? Beside the ones that are hard to get.

THE GREATEST COLLECTABLE MINIFIGURE ROUND 9
Ed3n replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
For me, it has to be the palaeontologist. She just seems special to me. Love the hair-hat combinations as well as the fossil, easily fit into any dinosaur/Jurassic theme.- 17 replies

To me, the tiki warrior is one of the best minifigures ever made if not the best. Just look at the details of the mask! Simply amazing, great army buildings that's for sure and of my favourite for all time. I hope he wins.

THE GREATEST COLLECTABLE MINIFIGURE ROUND 7
Ed3n replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I voted for the baseball player, simple but effective and who doesn't like baseball. The others I like are the kendo and hippie. But the baseball player to me is a more likable figure.- 23 replies

The conquistador is a well executed minifig so my vote goes to him although the judge and spy were also very close behind him.

Oh my gosh, your design are absolutely amazing!! If only lego mini figures are as good as your design. Lego should definitely employ you. Hopefully some of your design will become actual mini figure someday.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 17 Rumors and Discussion
Ed3n replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I've been following this thread closely. Very disappointed that we are not getting a matador - this was one of the figure I wanted most, along with the centaur and terracotta warrior. Lego if you read this, please take note. I'm not giving up hope that this will happens one day. Just like I thought Lego would never made a medusa and a satyr and they did. Keep up the awesome work. By the way, the corn suit guy is nicely done, I agree that something about the short sleave and colour of the pant don't look quite right. But still a very good figure at the end and deserve to be in my collection as many.- 1,421 replies

Not a car enthusiast, but this is a thing of beauty! Must have and possibly a day one purchase to add to my collection. The shaping and everything about it is perfect. To me, the best creator car so far. Well done to the Lego Designer.

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion

Are you just teasing us and being sarcastic or do you have some insider info on the new Disney series?- 4,155 replies

I totally agree with Borex's comments about the new wave of Lego Star Wars being overpriced. I just simply cannot bring myself to buy any of these new sets. Living in Australia does not help either. The only set I'm going to get is probably the encounter on Jakku's set for the alien mini figures and the Luggabeast. Even this set is expensive for what you get.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 Rumors and Discussion
Ed3n replied to 8BrickMario's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Totally agreed with Rogue Angel's opinion. All the figures are just.. ok, there isn't anything that really stands out in my opinion. I think Lego is playing safe with this series with a lot of reharshed parts being used. I will probably still end up with a full set. But this is not a series that I cannot wait for. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 Rumors and Discussion
Ed3n replied to 8BrickMario's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I'm a bit underwhelmed by this series to be honest. The figures are all alright, but there isn't a single one that pop out like the previous series, maybe it's due to a lack of mythology figures. Here are my thoughts on the figures: Ice Queen - overall a decent figure Arabian Knight - average and lacklustre Cyborg - has so much potential, but looks really boring. They could've gone with a freakish cyborg's arm and leg and that body armour piece is so overused. Devil costumed boy - One of the better fig, but don't like the face expression. Hope he has two face expressions and that trident is too big in my opinion. Spooky boy - I really like the spooky girl with her blank expression and pale face.. spooky boy.. not so much. There is nothing spooky about him and what is with the sad face?? Is he scared of the scary tales he is reading? Hiker - this is what I call a filler minifigure, but overall not bad. I like the backpack. Nothing special though.. Wildlife Photographer - While the penguin is a nice addition to the collection, the figure itself is just...very average. Female Boxer - A pretty cool figure, but really not necessary to have. Scallywag pirate - He is pretty ugly I guess, don't like the stripy green pant but do like the tattoo on the arm. Penguin suit boy - While I would've preferred normal leg to shorter one, I think this one is executed quite well. Love the skates. Not a big fan of the facial expression on this one as well. Archer/Assassin creed guy - He's ok I guess. Dog show judge/contestant - Love the dog! is that a new hair piece? Mariachi player - This fig is one of the better executed figure in my opinion, might need three. Finally a guitar! Spy - This is my favourite fig in the whole series - never expect that. I like the hair and goggle combination. I wonder if it is one or two pieces. Banana guy - He would be perfect if he wasn't wearing a sunny (guess we can swap his head) and that print, is it really necessary?? I would still get one or two though.. Baby sitter - Beside the baby, which you can also get in 'fun in the park' set, I'd say it is pretty average as well. Perhaps I'm being too critical but I guess my expectation of minifigures have risen seeing that each series is better than the previous. This one is bit of a let down. Not much new moulds (I guess they've have spent it on the Disney minifigures), the colour scheme is similar across all the figures. What they have mostly done in this series is re-use old parts and recolor and reprint. -
Some of the really cool suggestions I like so far are: Historical nurse Monster bride Circus Strongman Ragdoll Missing castaway Golf player Pregnant woman (wouldn't this be hilarious) Invisible man Lifesaver guy I can these as potential minifigures in the future.

Here are my guesses: 1. Centaur (some wishes do come true) 2. Terracotta Warrior (How many times have people guessed this) 3. Classic fairy tale Prince (would be fantastic! And with large round shoulder pads) 4. Cow costume guy or girl (with Udder please!) 5. Marie Antoinette ( With the queen's large dress piece and an awesome hairpiece) 5. A masquerade dancer holding a mask and wearing Captain Hook's oversize hat piece 6. A basketball player wearing singlet and with a printed basketball 7. A Shepard with a brand new sheep 8. Intergalactic Space Alien/Creature (There's always one in every series) 9. A cupid with short legs, wings, bow and arrow would be fun 10. A troll or an Ogre 11. A Matador (Maybe too controversial but would be great if they can make one, I can see this one having a really cool torso) 12. A ventriloquist with the baby piece as the puppet 13. A park ranger with a new animal like squirrel or hawk 14. A doctor with a stethoscope (They have done so many scientists, it's about time we get a proper doctor) 15. A teacher (even though this minifigure will be hard to distinguish unless they have some relevant accessory like a ruler or calculator or even Nexo Knight's new book) 16. An animal trainer with a dolphin or a seal. Or maybe a circus performer would be pretty cool too. It is getting harder and harder to guess as so many have been made into an actual minifigure. No wonder they are limiting this to 1 series per year.

This is laughable. Pretty terrible set in my opinion. Even the minifigure selection is poor. Talia looks so.... generic.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 16 Rumors and Discussion
Ed3n replied to 8BrickMario's topic in Special LEGO Themes
If the spy is indeed based on James Bond, it is likely that the minfigure will not have any new mould, but lots of printing and maybe a pistol, which is kind of boring. I hope I am wrong in this. Hope we get some leaks soon. -

If they can fit a horse into a blind bag, then there should be no problem creating a 'Centaur' (my most wanted mythology creature), in future collectible minifigure series. One can only hope and dream.. -

Thanks telaruhn for clarifying the seam line on ariel's mermaid tail. I had another look at whitefang's review and his ariel's photo has the same obvious line as well. So I guess it's all good at the end but can't help noticing as the line is ugly and so obvious .- 4,155 replies
