I'm not sure if discussing all these set lists isn't just troll-feeding, but anyway... One OT set in a year's lineup? In case it's valid, they better give us something sweet UCS/Exclusive-wise And have we said anything about the discrepancy here: 7913 Clone Trooper Battle Pack 7914 Mandalorian Battle Pack vs 7956 The Battle of Endor Pack 7957 The Battle of Geonosis Pack Either the list is made up by someone who doesn't know (or bother) about how Battle Packs are normally named - they should be "Endor Trooper Battle Pack" and "Geonosians Battle Pack" or something like that, or if it is legitimate it is a different take altogether - perhaps as "The Battle of Naboo" that we know is coming. Since the two "new" sets are from different settings, they would have opposing sides in them. Rebels/Ewoks-Stormies/Scout Troopers and Clones/Jedi-Battle Droids/Geonosians (or whatever this "Battle of Geonosis" thing is ), respectively. Well, well. Time will tell.

I like the newer ones better, too! More up to date and more like those we are used to. But I started getting used to the round plates anyway... Heja Hinckley

Oh darn, I need that rumoured windmill! I promised myself to cut down on themes, but have still bought all Kingdom sets but one Civilian medieval architecture, it's almost as good as UCS SW Let's hope the summer sets are not all about defense and warfare!

I think it's quite obvious that it will be an exclusive Harry Potter fig, no matter what we AFOL thinks, the book will be made and marketed towards the younger buyers (and the ones who buy for them). Sure, younglings would also perhaps want a Percy/dk red Dumbledore/Mrs Figg, but I'm pretty sure the main character will be the exclusive fig. If there is one at all, is that confirmed?
-
This sounds more like someone's wishlist with all those minifigs. 6 Gamorreans in one set?
-
Yes. Which would not be far from the Big Jim Gorilla.
-
A molded Rancor would just be like the Big Jim Gorilla (I tried to add a pic, but I wasn't allowed. The gorilla was great for BJ, but would look stupid in LEGO, was my point). It needs to be brick built if we want it anywhere near minifig scale.

I'm not sure this is a valid argument. They have made the opposing pair of BPs for four years now, perhaps they are selling so well that they have decided to double them up. I'm not saying this list is true (WAY too few OT sets if it is!) but I don't think we can base everything on releases from previous years. My 2 öre.

Half price for Taj Majhal is great! It has a good ppp ratio at MSRP as it is. But I agree, the many turntable bases are perhaps not the best part to have in huge quantities...

Since when have the contents of the Battlepacks made sense?
-
Went to get one of those for the 3x3 dk red cones the other day, but since they didn't have it, I got the two Advent Calendars and a couple of Spartans instead... I also placed no less than five BL orders this week for parts for my FBTB Cube Dude Contest entry. Too much money!

In that 2½ year old topic there are 77 pages and over 1100 posts, most with a wish for an upcoming set. I'm pretty sure that all of the released sets since that thread was started is in it...

Great castle! It's not the legendary Castle of Aaargh, is it?
-
Wow, great dio! The back of the Speeder is very good, and I don't mind the fades white bricks, it looks more realistic that way! Any plans of more like this?

Sorry for confusing you. The half price thing was just an agreement on the "buy it now, if you can, don't wait for it to go on sale". Not everything in a post must be about the quote cited in the post. When, where and how much was the MF on sale for? That would perhaps be an indicator for Praiter Yed who asked about the Death Star. -

No, have not seen the MF on sale. Not on S@H, anyway. When, where and how much? Grievous, yes he was on sale at S@H, but not that much. I don't see them throwing away the new DS half off anyway... -
My votes go to: Oola Ki-Adi Mundi Padme Queen Amidala

The only UCS sets (which at least LEGO counts this as) I have seen on sale is the first Death Star that was 50% way back. Has there been other UCS on sale lately? -
I don't think a door is neccessary between the lounge and dining area, just fit one of these in tan there instead, it would look more restaurant-y. Keep hoteling!
-
It's the "Part 61190e Minifig, Helmet Floodlight for Helmet SW Clone Trooper with Holes" Great restaurant scene, btw!
-
The larger sizes can be used for actual storage! The tan 6x6 in the bottom pic held all my chrome gold coins until I dismantled it. In that one there were only interior structures in the four corners - 1x1 bricks with or without studs on the sides. Thanks for all the kind words!
-
Great MOC! The custom decals detract a bit from the overall look, but I see why you wanted to use the Slave 1 windscreen instead of working out some more brick heavy solution as you did in the back. Ahsoka: "Are we there yet?" Anakin: "Patience, my young padawan." Obi-Wan: "You're not that old either." Yoda: "All of you, quiet be!"

If this was Facebook, I would so press "Like"!

Lego Games: Are they worth it for AFOL?
Skafte replied to roamingstop's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Just an update here, I recently got Creationary and got my wife to play it with me. OK, not so much interesting game-wise with only two players, but it got my wife interested in LEGO. "Wow, you can really make anything". She was building her third model or something when she wanted a plate with studs on both sides. I told her "welcome to the world of LEGO" -
Of course we need a regular TIE with the grey colour scheme. I think we will see one in 2012 at the latest, it´s an almost iconic ship in the "medium-small" size that LEGO likes to make sets of. However, they really really like to put enemies in sets, so that there is opportunity for fighting action "within" the set. We'll see what they give us.
