To me, those numbers mean "eleventh of January 2010". Too strange with dates after the turn of the millennia, not least when you find something edible with a "best before"- date on it and you can't figure out if it has expired or not. That will all be a thing of the past in 2013!

I ordered the set a week ago, the other stuff shipped Wednesday, but 10215 was "on back order". I thought they might wait to ship it until yesterday (the original release date), but no. On back order only in my order - every time I checked it in the shop it has been "available now".

I kind of like how they've not tried to get rid of the lines between bricks - giving it a more "detailed" look. But as with all these little Architecture sets, it's not worth it for the bricks. With these, you (almost) only pay for the design.

Star Wars, of course, for dragging me out of my dark ages and for the immense variety in all the many sets. UCS. Being an archaeologist, of course I like Indy as well, and Creator for the good sets with many pieces. And Classic Space was good back in the days. Fantasy era gave os a lot of good stuff, and I have bought all of Kingdoms so far. But SW is still no 1!

Awesome to see someone talking about the NES as a novelty! I don't think you're older than everyone else, but those of us who remember when the NES was launched are probably a minority on EB...

I'm a bit confuzzled with these Geonosian sets. The set we have pics of now wasn't on the earlier list of the 2011 winter wave. Then the summer list appears with a "Battle of/for Geonosis" set on it. Later, the pic appears but there is still a second Geonosis set (apart from the starfighter) on the summer list. Are people really thinking there will be one "Battle for Geonosis" and one "Battle of Geonosis" in the same year? My guess is that the one on the summer list should be dropped.

I think that has been up before, especially with the arena creatures from ep II. It is a good idea!

If you wish to comply with the nitpicks and make it historically correct with the fence between the knigths, you can easily put the fence diagonally across the vig, adjusting height issues with 1x1 round plates. And swap the ostriches to horses. And the sand to grass. And.. Well, that takes all fun out of it, right? Nice work!

I don't really get these surveys. I'm given a choise of ten or twelve suggestions from other survey takers, mostly "OMG NO FRIKKIN CHINA CRAP!" or "JUST PRINTED PARTS, NO STICKERS!". I had a few ideas, but it only let me add two of my own things to vote for. And it must be random which options come up - how can they make anything out from that?

Well no, I am absolutely poodoo at the PF thingies. I tried just having the motors on the outside to see if they were strong enough, but it all just exploded into a mess of gears, axles and technic bricks. I'm patiently waiting for someone to post a step by step walkthrough how to motorize the wings. Same with the landing gear, that is a too big mod for my skills. Maybe a ramp, I'll look into it. Can it have tiles on it? Please?

De-studified to the next degree: I'm not sure what to tile next. Cockpit floor, perhaps? Support stand? We'll see.
