It's probably on the second page because you started this one It's the way with online forums, sometimes no one replies to your posts, but that is not a reason to start another identical thread. I guess you also wanted to set a standars for future wishes, but that is up to the Danish Santa (KimT), not us mortals, to decide. Well well, here I go posting in your thread anyway.

Oh rats, I was hoping for a Space Skeleton Doesn't look too bad. An awful lot of stickers, though
-
Well played! It's the Cylinder Hemisphere 3 x 3 Ball Turret upside down! ...but not really a 3x3 dome suitable for astromech printing!
-
...which would include a bigger windscreen, adding cost. And at 1500 or so pieces, it would be another UCS too big for many to afford. I think LEGO has more to consider than we know of! cavegod, which set du you mean by JS? This one? Has it got a new 3x3 dome in it?
-
Sorry if this has been brought up before, but: The Battle Droids and Tactical Droid do suggest that this set won't be set in space, right? The few things I've seen of CW (please correct me if I'm wrong) usually shows these guys on ground. Other JSFs with enemies are in space, as Ahsoka's with Vulture Droid. Perhaps it's Mace attacking some kind of clanker ground base? As for the Space Skeleton, any guess is good... Remember, this is from LEGO Direct, and they don't always have 100% correct information. I just hope the next piece of leaked information is about a OT set.

Just for fun, I did some math (I never thought I'd say that sentence, let alone write it!). On my screen , the JSF is 208mm long on the drawing and 209mm in the LEGO pic. The droid heads are 12 and 15mm, respectively. This means that the droid head is 5,8% of the overall length "for real" and 7,1% in LEGO. A 3 stud dome would be 5,3% (11mm) and therefore better to scale, but still too small. In "perfect" scale it should be 12,1mm, but I don't think LEGO is about to construct a 3,27 stud dome in the near future. They already had the mold for a 4 stud dome, and we don't know if they plan to make another UCS (or whatever) in 2011 where one of those fits even better. A 3 stud dome would be a great piece, but that would make this set even more expensive, and that is what we are most upset about, right? Sorry for the rant and all the math and miscalculations. I look forward to discussing this set when we all have built it!

Have you built it? We'd sure like a review!

So shiny! I think it looks pretty good without stickers as well! And the astromech head isnt that oversized, now is it?
-
A wild guess on that question is that he works in the store that the set is exclusive for.

I measured it to 47,5 cm. Not sure on the mms, the ruler is only 40 cm... -
Giant Lego Technic Robot
Skafte replied to Burf2000's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Astounding! You should be entering this in the Robot Wars! Or probably not -
Long answer: That depends on how you build and how many pieces you have. Colour sorting has an advantage that you are able to build something in a certain colour, but you need longer time to look for parts. If you sort by type, you can find the piece you want easier, but you'll have to open more bags/containers which takes time as well. When your collection grows, colour sorting gets kind of out of hand, and when you eventually want to sort everything by part AND colour, it's much easier to convert a parts collection than a colour collection, if you see what I mean. Short answer: By type.

Exclusives don't appear in the catalogues for all retailers, do they?

It's LEGO. It's Star Wars. It's UCS. I'm getting one. Sure, it's a bit pricey, but I always find that UCS sets somehow are worth their price, no matter how good the ppp value is, how many details have been omitted, which figs are included, if the droid head is 4 wide when it should have been 3 wide and so on. I like it, and it's nice for you PT fans to get a proper UCS. (Maul - sculpture, Naboo Fighter - tiny, Grievous - well something else.)
-
Or how about OT vs PT? OT white, PT black. White would win every time These MOCs are truly outstanding, but I don't really like different builds for same chess pieces, such as the rebel knights in the ANH set - one X-wing and one Y-wing. But I suppose it's not really made to play with...

I needed something to do while my son took a nap, so I put an old MOC in the beautiful autumn light and took a few pics. I haven't seen this technique anywhere before. The crate: I chose to make it in tan, but of course it works in many colours, as you can see at the bottom of this post. Dark tan would look even better, but I'm missing tiles in that colour. Lid off: As you can see, you can't actually put anything inside, it's filled with bricks to keep the sides on. The new 1x1 brick with stud on one side would work even better, though. Further disassembled: I really like the shadow on this pic... All taken apart: Here you have a good overview of the 35 pieces needed for a 4x6 crate. All in tan, but many of them are of course not seen. Older pic for size: "Is zat big enough vor ze ark?" "Ja, I zink zo. Wot a greet kamoflage" "We are not in ze desert" "Oh bugger" In other colours and sizes: The new 1x3 tiles would of course be great for even more sizes... Thanks for looking, I hope you like it!

I totally agree with KielDaMan, get the Shuttle! Of course, I haven't built the Tower Bridge, but the Shuttle is really something extra! -
Exactly, that was why I thought it would be interesting!
-
Thanks! It would also be interesting to see this graph with "Year" exchanged with "Price"!
-
I wonder if enough people are interested in this to make it worth making - compared to SW, that is! I have no room for HP sets in my own collection, unfortunately, and therefore no interest for the book. An exclusive fig is always interesting, though... You might want to change the year in the subtitle!

Lego Games: Are they worth it for AFOL?
Skafte replied to roamingstop's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yes, I prefer playing with my two year old, I keep winning! Seriously, the games are great both for playing and for parts, so I could never just sort the parts into my collection. I currently have Lava Dragon, Shave a Sheep and Ramses Pyramid, but will get Creationary this weekend and plan to get more... Check out the many reviews here on EB and the parts inventories on BL! -
I can still see them!

Product Review of BrickForge Instrument Series
Skafte replied to Cygnet's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Thanks for the detailed input on these! I hope LEGO starts making more instruments soon, the 7639 Camper was screaming for a campfire guitar! -
I mean here on Eurobricks in less than a day or on other Internet sites right now. For example the website mentioned on the previous page.
