Awesome. I think this is a great move. I remember reading a while back when a fan posted how they'd like to see a Pixar/Disney/LEGO combo. Well, whoever wanted that, congratulations :classic:

Good call on the King's printed legs. I skimmed right past it. That really fleshes out the figure and makes him look extremely cool.

Bahhh, finally. These look better than I expected. What a great array of alien figures! They turned out pretty impressive in the end. Though, as someone just stated, I do hope some of the colors are preliminary/prototypes.

I'm not a huge Star Wars collector. I usually buy one or two now and then if it is a cool model. Needless to say, the UCS Millennium Falcon is incredible, but I never imagined shelling out the $500 cost. I found it for $100 off on Amazon.com today and I'm really tempted to pick it up along with the Sandcrawler. In the end, I'll be spending the $500 but getting a Sandcrawler as well. Check the find out if you like, but I look forward to suggestions from anyone who owns it as to whether I should get it.

Definitely sets. And this is what LEGO refers to them as, also. Which I think would be the most obvious mark in favor of calling them sets.

That set is on sale for about $35 at all LEGO retail stores if you can manage to get to one. They have it in abundance. I got one the other day and I think that's an amazing price for that really cool set.

A land base would be great provided it's nothing like the Eagle Command Center...

Yep. But trust me, it was a plain yellow head. And if you look at the one with the white fig head, the eyes are the same color. EDIT: On second glance, I've begun to doubt my own memory. I've seen color distortions with my camera before, so that validated me, but after looking at the one with the new white head closer I see that the eyes aren't the same color and aren't painted. Perhaps it was an orange head originally, but I don't seem to recall noticing that.

Having taken the original pictures I can tell you that they were not Trans Orange and this is just a trick of my poor quality phone camera. The eye slits in the helmet are painted and it was a regular yellow minifigure head beneath the helmet.

Perhaps level would have been a better word choice there. :laugh:

I just went back and looked. Oh man, I wish, but somehow I sincerely doubt it will be coming back.

Imagine the size of that dome piece. There'd be complaints of it being too <insert that tiresome argument>.

Is anyone else as disappointed as I am that the bad guys are these complex, detailed figures? I was kind of hoping for a recoloring of the MM jellies. Maybe red or something. These varied, individual, unique figures are useless to me.

Ah, those look pretty much exactly as I would've imagined them after seeing the poster. Not bad. I really do like them.

No, not if you're referring to the spend $200, get $10, spend $200, get $20 card. That would come out to 7.5% cash back and is only good for people near LEGO stores.
