  1. Thought I might as well join in the fun I see a few Trains around the place, usually carrying coal.. So I thought I might as well make a coal container. So here's a quick little thing I threw together (boring, yes, but thats what they look like! )
  2. Picked up Emperor's Shuttle and a Trifighter 40% off
  3. I've got Piles of POP figures, a few Indy ones, and The odd SW one.. Plus a Caveman and 2 Zombies (not sure If I wanting to let those go or not though) I'll Flick you a PM of what I currently have 'spare'
  4. Depends. If he's talking about a Megaphone, then sure, but if he's actully talking about a Microphone Then it's pritty rare in Red... VERY rare, in fact What peice exactly are you refering to Lord Starkiller?
  5. Where the heck did you get the word 'all'? I don't see it anywhere.. I can't imagine Toyworld ever doing a sale like that as a standard offer. I'm 99.9% it'll only be those selected sets shown (plus mabe 1-2 others your local store is trying to clear). Definately not 1/2 off SW and Collectble figs, thats for sure
  6. I wish it did the same in my room.. My room is an absolute mess. Even the stuff hanging from the roof (which was fine last time) is all over the floor. All of the sets that fell down last time (apart from the DSII - I moved that after the first quake) are down again ( ) plus many more sets are on the ground in parts. I've barely been in my room much though. My brother is sleeping in my room during the day since he's doing night-shift patrol in the city (he's in the Army) and then I've been sleeping in the lounge since we have 3 others staying with us. Lego's not much of a priority right now though. But I've still been putting my building to use - Built a Long drop toilet (Of wood, not Lego..) We've got power (obviously) but no water. Hope others are doing OK -Sam (Legoman)
  7. Hi guys. My immediate family and I are OK. Definately much worse than the 7.1 in September though. Not much sleep last night. Hoping others are alright too. Have had friends staying with us whose houses are very damaged/totally destroyed. If you've got a moment for a quick prayer it won't be in vain. Cheers guys. Great to know people are thinking of us.
  8. I have a tendency to either Hang them (I use Fishing wire, works great), Or have them landed. Hanging them isn't piticularly hard, you can easily hang them off removeable command hooks (I just stick them on the bottom of the shelf above). I just hate the idea of something flying being on a stand.. But it all comes down to personal prefrance. So it's really up to you
  9. Wow Anio, those UCS are very lovely all together like that! I piticularly love the TIE, AT-TE, and Podracer... Great work mate!
  10. It's stocked everywhere, It just seems to be selling out very fast. It's RRP is $50 everywhere, but sales are always worth the wait. It's just a matter of finding one, It's by far the most popular / sought after 2010 SW lego set. P.S. Just a reminder, If anyone's intrested in some POP stuff, give me a yell. Got lots of Figs (including Figs still sealed in bag 1 from QAT) , even some sealed Emu's, And lots of special parts if anyone's keen
  11. In case people haven't seen, The Warehouse has some of the Atlantis stuff up to 50% off
  12. Have taken and left feedback as I could/liked, And am Finally finished! Not planning to Make many changes any more, so this is going to be my last update. I'd love to hear what you think, and I'd like to say a big thank you to all that have helped along the way, you're all legends Please check out the First Post for the Other pics Cheers guys!
  13. Not a problem mate. All the best with the sales
  14. As much as I would love to take you up on your incredible offer (Wasn't really a fan of the Archeticture range, but Fallingwater just looked so much better than the others for some reason) I can't understand for the life of me why you wouldn't sell Fallingwater on Trademe for the $200 Ish you would get and buy a couple of train stations for yourself. I'm usually one to bite at a steal like this, But this almost seems (to me) to be literally stealing from you, considering the insane difference in value. I mean, if you're seriously just wanting that taxi, I'll go out and buy you one tomorrow, but I'd feel bad in all honesty...
  15. Finally, a 10019 UCS Tantive IV. I'm now up to speed with all the UCS! Yes!
  16. Thanks for summing up those points so well, You've really clarified what I was thinking! Fair enough. Thats also perhaps shows the reason for your previous thoughts And that would be well understood - People wouldn't have to do anything they don't want to, It would be intirely open, and optional. Builders can choose to post in the forum (or not), It would just a free-er enviroment for people to be sharing Comments, Ideas and Criticism. If someone was in a position such as you, you could freely post in the normal forum as you will, and be free of 'annoying' comments That could actully be a good idea, even if no forum is opened, People could add RFC to the title of the topic, EG: WIP MOC '_________' RFC or something, to let people know they're looking for other opinions and ideas (it's just another little idea, but could help sort people as far as what responces they get? )
  17. Okay (not ok-ey) dokey. Seems I'm outnumbered All fair points guys
  18. Very true, but I think people would be able to take and leave opinions as they like. At the end of the day, there's still Good MOC's and Bad MOC's, styles are usually universally accepted, even if not used Yes, true, But you could say the same thing about the RA could you not? I totally understand what you're saying, and that is very legitimate. But I also think it could be a nice enviroment where lots of advice can be freely given to learners without any need to fear not being good enough to compare to other MOCers here at EB
  19. Hi guys. This is just an idea I've had, and thought I would share it with the Community to see what people would think. I've recently been working on a MOC, and if you look at the link you'll see It has really come long way with the help and Ideas of fellow EB members, which got me thinking. Isn't that a similar idea to the concept behind the EB reviewers academy? To grow great Reviewers? Could EB have a MOCers academy, where people can get help and idea's on MOC's they are designing from very talented MOCers? It's just an Idea, but I thought I'd put it out there, as it would grow a base of very Talented MOCers for EB. Thoughts? -Legoman
  20. Thanks very much Syn! I had thought of deleting the original Pictures now that they seem so shameful, But now that you've said that, it really is great to look back on. It really shows how much of a great place EB is for helping young MOCer's find their feet. I'll post some more updates probably next week, when my Bricklink order arrives Thank you all for your compliments, once again
  21. Where the heck did you snab that? Great stuff, you're a very lucky guy
  22. I'll ignore the total lack of modesty in this post, But even with that, I still beg to differ. Although Your MOC was Obviously HUGE and very time consuming, I personally feel that this MOC is actully of higher quality and design. Don't mean to put down your MOC at all, But thought I would put out there the idea that Size isn't everything. This MOC is incredibly sleek and has an effect That I personally feel yours just didn't have on me. So I wouldn't get too proud mate, as much as your MOC was incredible
  23. Mabye you should ask a guy next time? Sounds like it was just a bit of a stroppy assistant. Try again some time, It seems these boxes are worth it!
  24. Hi there, welcome to Eurobricks! I'm from Christchurch, and don't have too much advise to offer exept: Toyworld TJ (Tower Junction) Definately attempts to have the best range of seets. They carry a lot of sets ofther stores won't, but everything is almost always RRP. As for price, K-mart is usually best, but their stock can often be quite limited. Their Clearance sales are often very good, if you can keep up with when they are. The warehouse are a bit 'meh' most of the time, but they do sometimes have decent sales of clearance products. Farmers is usually quite good, but have a miserable range. But they do have 30% off sales every couple of months, which is always good for picking up new sets (if they're being carried by farmers), But their clearances are a joke really (Unless you find some really old rare set - but thats quite unlikely in CHCH) Your best bet would just to keep an eye on this topic, we usually find good sales and deals pritty quick, so you can get in before others notice. If you're buying anything from toyworld, please do take advantage of the 20% off voucher (linked in the first post of this topic, and also in the post above this Best of luck! Legoman
  25. Ah, I see what you mean Good idea! I'll see if I have enough parts (I am running dangerously low on DkBley 1x1 Bricks right now though (and 1x2's for that matter). I just placed a quick order on Bricklink last night for some more 1x1 rounds, So hopefully there's be some left over from the path and I'll put them to good use in the roof!
