  1. Cheers for the heads up. I won't bother going in today then. I wasn't sure if people would be put off by the fact it's an unsafe building and pritty much in town - But it seems people couldn't care less when it comes to cheap stuff I wish I had gone down on Saturday!
  2. Have you been to south city yet? I haven't been able to get out there yet and I'm starting to wonder if all the good stuff has gone. Would have been some steals there initially though!
  3. Errr.. Are you sure? Old grey is an OOP colour, nothing is made in that colour any more. New baseplates are definately New Light Bluish Grey Nothing has been made in Old grey for years
  4. Ah! Thats a good idea, I might grab a couple of XL Grey Baseplates. Those are hard to find at a good price, and I've been meaning to get a couple for ages
  5. From my understanding, only POTC sets from the original movies are 'allowed' to be released. But I have been doing stocktake at the warehouse (Oh joy ) and they do have a pile of lego out the back with 'Do not touch - Wait for release on XX/XX/XX' Which I'm guessing was the new POTC stuff. I'm still not sure what to get with the 50% off voucher - This years BP's are 'meh' to me. I'm looking at the smallest POTC set (good value at $10.00!) but I'd rather make the most of the coupon (get something at $29.99 ) Guess we'll see hat they've got
  6. Not sure about Cars 2, But I think POTC is already here?
  7. Cheers or the heads up! I just looked it up 50% off any one Item under $30 30% off any one Item 25% off any one Item 20% off any one Item Far out, Need to use that 50% off one for something, that's too good to pass up!
  8. Another Bricklink order arrived today, and I just paid for yet another one
  9. Very true. The only I might cosider it is if they have nice discounts on the 2 UCS Which isn't out of the question considering last year
  10. Welcome on board pinkshiro! 10212 Retails for $500, but Toyworld will probably be selling it for $550 (depending on your local toyworld, some are nicer) I'm personally hoping Kmart will bring them in and end up selling them dirt cheap again.. Ah, I miss the days of 10195's for $180 If they do, they'll probably have it for around $450 It only sold for $500 We've all got to keep the addiction alive somehow I Have actully looked into such things However, Ever since Lego got rid of their middleman and took up their own distribution, they now only keep contracts with companys that have B&M stores, so it would be quite tricky unfortunately. But with the way Lego is going at the moment, we may end up with stores in NZ within a few years
  11. From what I understand, There is a list of parts, which changes each year (?), and only those parts can be stocked in PAB. There are standard parts such as 2x4 bricks, which all stores will usually have, and special parts such as Leaves which come and go. There are plenty of parts, however, which never go to PAB for various reasons Feel free to correct me though
  12. In the last few days I managed to pick up: 2x Space police 5983 Undercover Cruiser @ 75% off 2x Toy story 7789 Lotso's dump truck @ 80% off 2x World Racers 8898 Wreckage road @ 65% off Quite good really
  13. I think that promotion has expired now.. I'll remove it from the first post
  14. Well, just to clarify I said liquidating not Fire Sale or Clearance. I do expect to get fair value for the sets and am not in a rush to sell off the sets quickly. Yeah mate, I totally understand that. I'll PM you in a few minutes
  15. Managed to grab a couple of good deals while I was down in Queenstown. Not Much down there though, unfortunately. The sale finished yesterday, correct? Ah well. Cheers for the heads up How much were the sets you guys managed to grab?
  16. I don't know why there's not more intrest to be honest. I would be snapping these up if it wasn't for the fact that postage would cost the earth to me in New Zealand
  17. You seriously have every set apart from those on that list? Up until When? I'd be quite keen on 10212 and 10215 if you have them (depending on price obviously)
  18. Nice to hear mate Do people actully pay RRP Same here, I generally Try to get my stuff 20% of minimum, But usually I can find better than that unless it's an exclusive.. Intresting observation KDM, Thanks for the heads up. Good to know Indeed I don't. And your point is true, but none the less, so is mine Thats a good point.. I'd hate to think how many Police stations some of you guys who have been collecting since 1960 must have It's actully the 3rd Falcon, Let's not forget the good old 7190
  19. Just checked my AT-AT, And it's a little under 40cms And as much as I wish I had a UCS Shuttle to check, I'm yet to buy one
  20. I was half expecting it I guess - They're not supposed to be out until June in the US, so probably July here. Stupid Warehouse
  21. Just a quick question: Has anyone seen the new SW sets? I know they've been advertised but I'm yet to see them in a store
  22. Generally stationary shops will have a small range, but you'd find more at a place that specialises in plastic stuff like 'The Plastic box' or whatever it's called. Also, Office suppliers (such as officemax) should have a good range, but you'll be buying hundreds at a time
  23. G'day guys. For the last 10 or so years, I've been a die-hard Star Wars Lego collector. Collected one of every set released. This continued until 2008(?) When Lego first started with the Clone-wars sets. I them decided I would not buy Clone Wars sets unless I really liked or wanted them, Rather than buying them for the sake of it. Since then, my buying habits have continued to change a bit. I've been getting into (And quite enjoying!) Doing some MOCing and the sorts. It definately give me a feeling building 'sets' cannot do. Along with MOCing, is Bricklink, and buying up cheap sets for parts - both of which I have been doing. And I'm now at the stage that I Look at the Latest Slave 1 And almost cry thinking how little lego I got in the set and how many parts I could have got with the money. Some Star Wars sets just seem like tied up 'capital' that could go towards a pile of new parts.. That said, The Star Wars UCS sets are definately not in that place. They are beauitful masterpieces, and don't deserve any bad-mouthing what-so-ever I guess It doesn't help that a lot of the Star Wars sets Lego is releasing seem un-neccesary (I really don't want ANOTHER Falcon - Sorry, but surely they could have at least changed the design a bit..) Don't get me wrong, there's still a few sets I love, just.. Not as many Does anyone else feel this way? Star Wars might never have been your thing, but it could be in relation to anything (but lets keep it Lego related ae )
  24. Intresting. Epic_red got given 30005 Imperial speeder bike since They were out of them there too
