  1. Sounds like a lot of work there! Thanks a lot for the input I'm a tad lost as to what you mean though. In 1) Do you have a picture or something I would be able to have a peek at? It sounds very intresting, But I'm a little lost on how such a thing could work (I may have mis-understood..) Also, on 2) Where do you suggest adding the colour? I really can't see myself adding DkRed or DkBlue to the roof? thanks for your time!
  2. Thanks for the ideas I have continued some landscaping/shaping of a path, but It seems I will need a bricklink order for more 1x1 rounds. In the mean time, please all feel free to comment on the photo's over at my Flickr, More opinions are always of help. Thanks to you all!
  3. Very intresting topic. I find many answers very ammusing too. I personally would like to clarify the two words: Nerd, and Nerdy. In all honesty, Playing with Lego over 15 is nerdy - No doubt about it. But I don't believe this makes anybody a Nerd in itself. I'm 16, and would most definately not call myself a nerd, But I openly admit my love for Lego is nerdy. I personally think being a Nerd is more a over-intellectual brain combined with very limited social skills, Which isn't at all related to playing with Lego or not Playing a bit Sport/Music, having friends and being able to have a good time makes whatever other nerdy activity you have as a hobby irrelevant, You don't need fear being a Nerd And I'd go so far as to say some of the better MOCers aren't even being nerdy, they're truely talented artists.
  4. I went around 9 month's ago
  5. I was staying in CA if that makes any difference? Although I had thought prices were the same US wide (Excl Tax Differences)
  6. Intresting ideas guys. I never actully got to see the original films on the Big screen, so I think I would at least have to go to see those. Do you guys think there would be any chance of tickets being cheaper than usual, since the films have actully been out 30 years? I think that could lessen the hit to those who would like to see all 6 again. As much as I personally hate 3D movies, I'm hoping Lucasfilm will bring a breakthrough to the 3D Generation of movies, and actully make them decent to the eye, rather than just over-digitalized. It isn't actully too out of the question knowing lucasfilm. I'm all for re-relaeses of sets. Would definately be wanting lovely new designs though, and some new ships rather than re-boxing old sets, so to speak.
  7. $15.50, really? It was only $15 (or 14.50 with old cup) when I went over last year. Must have put it up, intresting.
  8. Hi there, Thanks for the offer. Turns out the guy I was getting it for alraedy has it Cheers for your time though! Has anyone seen the 66361 Set recently? Seems to have pritty much gone now, has it?
  9. Thanks for the Input (that goes for the other comments too ) What do you mean tile the crosses? The ones in the cemetery are tileds, and the others are brickbuilt?
  10. Awesome, thanks for mentioning that. I might flick you a PM in the next Few days
  11. Heya guys, has anyone ever seen set 66364 in New Zealand? I don't recall seeing it at all.. No wonder it's rare. Also, does anyone still have set 66368 at their local toyworld? I can't seem to find it in CHCH anymore (Anyone in CHCH seen it?), however, If someone was able to get it with the 20% off TW Voucher and post it down (or up) to me I'd be very greatful PS. I've added the 20% off voucher to the first post of this topic, since I know it takes me half an hour to search and find it every time
  12. I would really die to get my hand on a few of these boxes... I'll definately have to look at it if I ever go to the states again. Do the Lego stores in Europe sell these boxes? otherwise, Do they sell by Weight or by Cup? I'd be intrested in comparing Cup prices actully
  13. Wow Thats one lovely collection Polish Guy, and sorted immaculately
  14. Although Hein-Jan did do a great job on his kashyyyk, I still think this one takes the cake But thats something you will have to remember - Almost everything has been done before. Pepa Quin's Jedi temple is simply stunning (I guess you might be able to make a bigger one?), you can find numerous battle scenes around the place. If your really want something new, I think you'd have to go for a CW scene. But one thing you'd also have to remember with that is the fact that there is also a reason most people don't do big CW MOC's - Because there's much more to be captured from a movie, and therefore, a good MOCer, ends up with a far superior movie scene compared to a CW/animated scene (In my opinion ) If you wanted something new, I'd love to see something like Kamino, Utapu, Falucia, and it's been a while since a decent Tatooine MOC, you could give that a go. Just a couple of Ideas to throw around
  15. G'day again guys. Thought I'd share a bit of an update on this. Have added some surroundings and made it a bit more 'playable' since it seems to get a lot of intrest when people come around and see it. Snip/ As you can see, I've added a cemetery, a bit of a river, and a small mound. Planning to add more, at least on the empty corner, thought I'd share this now anyway. As always, please let me know what your think It better now? Hope so This one's not based on anything real
  16. It's about time I actully went through his topic (always look, but forget to post, when I mean to every time ) I currently used named Ice-cream containers, plus a few bags since I'm still getting more Ice-cream containers to 'complete' my sorting. It'll all currently seperated out into colours: Tan + Dark Tan Brown + Dark Orange Red + Dark Red Other Reds (Pink, Purple, other odd shades) Blues Greens Yellows Black White Old DkGrey Old LtGrey New DkBley New LtBley Trans Colours Then also have extras: Animals Greenery Miscellanous Then from there, The colours are seperated out into: Bricks (all Bricks are actully currently held in Lego 'Grab Bags', due to needing more Ice-cream Containers) Plates Other And, depending on the amount of each type of part, some are seperated out into: Plates: Small or Large Other: Small or Large So far, it works quite well. But I'm still in desperate need of more Ice-cream Containers as I keep buying more parts! My current system is that I just have a big box (around 30 Litre) that I'll sort every time it gets over half full (usually once every 3 months or so, but that varies hugely)
  17. Wow, thanks for the heads up guys, thats quite nice! MMV is a steal at that price! If only S@H had 20% off sales like everyone else... Postage will always be a problem, I guess we'll just have to live with that. I'm going to go see if any other prices have come down
  18. If you can still find it at K-mart, it's currently on clearance for $80 or something insane like that
  19. First off, ...Wow. That is one absolutely stunning creation you've got coming along there guys. Excellent work You guys must have been collecting a heck of a long time to have that much old grey to use I see a 10030 UCS Star Destroyer in one of the pics. Did you guys buy that just for the Old-grey for this MOC? Does Morten have a good reason for not using Light Bluish Grey? I sure hope he does I think the AT-AT problem isn't too much of a biggy. I think the Idea of having somewhat uneven/raised ground (gradually build up plates as it gets closer) toward the platform would make it relitively un-noticable, and give it a very natural feeling. I'm absolutely loving the look of those leaves piled on the ground. Big shame they're so expensive on BL.. If you're needing another 1000 or so, that would set you back a bit None the less, this is one incredible MOC, I look forward to seeing progress, keep it up And good luck with number 3!
  20. That sounds possible from the angle that none of us can feel them, But aren't they commonly felt around the EU? I doubt we'd have it different to them...
  21. 10% sounds like a bit of a joke these days Especially off RRP. And Considering they just had 30% off a couple of weeks ago... Ah well. You'll survive
  22. I once bought a lot of 8 MISB sets that, once opened, were all muddled random bags from other sets. All the sets were from around 1990-1995. There was no noticible marks or any seals broken from going into the set. But hat confused me the most was that the parts that replaced the actual sets weren't even noticably worth less And another time, I bought a set 'new' from the store to find it was all opened and had missing parts. Had it replaced by an new set, but annoying none the less
  23. I've just got home from the Nelson bay's, And had a bit of a look for lego when I was able. CMFS3 Is definately out and around toyworlds, although I swear our bags don't have dots in them... If they do, they're impossible to read Toyworld Nelson had jacked up a few prices and no sales to be seen. In Motuaka Warehouse, they had an odd amount of Lego that had been discounted due to boxed being ripped open/parts taken. Sad really. I was intrested in a Fire helicopter that was marked down to $20, before I read the label - it said it was missing most of the helicopter parts
  24. So far in the neew year I have got: 4x Battle of Naboo 1X Imperial V-wing 1x 7675 AT-TE 1x 7778 Midi-Falcon and 1x 30005 Imp. Speeder (Thanks Fred67 ) 1x Bulk lot of Indy parts 1x Bulk lot of Random pirate/alein/toystory/everything else parts
  25. +1 fred67, for a relaxed easy trade
