What movie? Did I miss that a couple of pages ago? Am I expected to animate it?
-
I thought they broke anyway, along with all other 2008-onwards joints...Or does it have grip issues as well? Aside from the breaking, the arms are very nice pieces. Congrats on them. I think the instructions are probably on LEGO.com now aren't they?

New Zealand: "Where to find Lego"
Brickthing replied to Legoman's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I picked up a Thunder Driller for $40 down from $60. There were plenty of Star Wars sets at my Warehouse (Albany), although I didn't get any. -
Custom Thornax Launchers could be a possibility... I think it would be cool to have the Agori and Glatorian distributed unevenly throughout the sets, eg 2 Small Agori, 1 Agori w/ Bike Cansiter, 1 Agori/Glatorian combo sets and 1 vehicle piloted by a Glatorian w/ 2 Agori piloted turrets. The remaining small sets would be small bad guys, rahi and maybe a small vehicle. The canister sets could be 2 Glatorian, 2 Bad Guys, 1 Agori w/ Bike and 1 Rahi.
-
If the purpose of this Glatorian is to serve as a reason about why no other Glatorian come to rescue them, then it seems possible. I'd prefer it that the search team that Mata Nui was in was ambushed by Vorox and surrounded, when a sinkhole opened up and cast them through long falling tunnels, before arriving inside a dome. That way, there are no traces up above, and the Glatorian up above don't know where to look for them, but the team is presumed missing, not dead, so they don't give up on MN.
-
It doesn't have to be all 6 Glatorian as 6 Canisters and all 6 Agori as small sets. There could be a couple of M&V combo sets as well as Glatorian or Agori vehicles.
-
# of Glatorian [TOTAL] 4 5 | 6 7 8 9 | 10 # of Agori [TOTAL] 3 4 | 5 6 | 7 I'm still in favour of canister like numbers, whilst still having a decent number of characters.

Suggestions/Idea-provoking MOCs: Glatorian Fire (Will have a custom helmet, don't worry) Ice Jungle (It's a 4-wheel long club, just bad angle) Ice Bird (Cute pets FTW) Prototype Swamp Rahkshi
-
IMO, all new Glatorian+Agori for creativity sake, and all of us get 1 Glatorian+Agori to create each. That way everybody gets a say and involvement in the story, and we get 10 or so of everyone's best ideas. A couple of Vorox also fall in, and are mutated. @ Tahu, with it being the prototype MU, there is also the possibility of prototype Toa Mata plans given to prototype Artahka.
-
When's the next BBCC? How many $ that Jinzo would storm B6's house if he knew those trans-limbs where there? It doesn't make sense that they build giant battle vehicles instead of giant water wells or something.
-
10 Aside from MN, none, but they will be mentioned Yes Mutated Vorox set(s) More variations of Vorox, the better 5 0 No No, but I reckon the Glatorian and Agori should use semi-built parts in the domes to make their own interpretations of Bara Magnian vehicles in order to pass through more hostile terrain. This would definitely involve an alt-Cendox. Yes, but not at first At points, definitely, but not for the Glatorian. Good guys from BM are all BM style. Bad Guys range from cyper-punk to organic-Barraki 10 or a similar number would be good, because we want enough characters to work with, but not so many that an entire city of Glatorian fell into the GS part. Maybe if all of us got one character each to design for the story? 10 could work again, but I prefer 5 seeing as they wouldn't have been as essential to MN's team before they fell into the part. 0, aside from Mata Nui. It'll allow us more creative liberty. 0 again The later, varying from semi-built to cyperpunk to post-apoc to primal marshes I suppose that'll work, although that might lead to the possibility of Skrall encounters later due to Roxtus being around the head, but that could be a good thing. Everything and anything, simply appropriate for the dome environment That's definitely a possibility, but our team of Glatorian and Agori is probably big enough for the Good Guy allocation. Has one already, unless MN encounters The Mind at the beginning then leaves, then the The Mind would get it then. If it gets it via Ignika, then an evil version of MN, otherwise some other evil form. Only it's minions Evil + spiky Lieutenant to The Mind, with similar Hivemind powers over minions Evil, unknown because it's possessing minions all the time The Mind actually acknowledges it as another being. What if The Mind was called Nefarious Mind or something? That way the the initials would be NM, inverse of MN.
-
Yup, I just tried reading 3 pages of missed conversation, but my mind blew when there where 5 colours on the same thought. Aside from MN, all Glatorian should be new characters, that way there's more liberty with appearances and personalities. Possibly the group was ambushed by Vorox when the sinkhole opens up, then they all fall onto and island in a dome surrounded by marsh. The Vorox go in the marsh, are mutated and then the team fights off the mutant Vorox and realise not to go in themselves?

How does Mata Nui leave in 2009 without the GS parts though? [Who says he does? Potentially he could be one of the Glatorian who falls in. THey could be scouting out parts to use when they fall down a giant sinkhole.]Due to the last point of this list I agree completely with this now. Some Glatorian fall into the unfinished Great Spirit body on Bara Magna. 4-6 Glatorian, 3 of which are canister sets. The other 3 canister sets are evil GS Inhabitants, that were made by GBs in the image of Glatorian (which means similar set builds and an origin for Antrozek's Zeirus). [should we incorporate the set aspect? :/ It seems like we'd have more freedom if we didn't. I mean, the experiments could be these huge hulking monsters or itty bitty bugs that wouldn't be good "canister set" size. I say around 10 Glatorian fall in, maybe with a few Agori.]The canister set thing just keeps numbers in check and makes it seem a bit more "authentic". Say we want a 7th or 8th Glatorian, they can be vehicle riders of large sets. Namely the transforming mechs and half-built T-vehicles that they find in the domes. With the canister experiments, they would be the Glatorian modelled ones, but there could also be Agori and Titan scale experiments as well. [room for possible events] [Mutations due to energy inside the body?]Or possibly new exotic armour that the Glatorian don to blend in with the locals and be better suited for the environment? I don't really like mutations though; they're too convenient for story-telling. They encounter hostile failed experiments by the Great Beings [that were put in there for safekeeping?] [that were the body's original residents (like in the Matoran Universe), but regressed and the body failed?].MU residents had culture and sentience that they weren't meant to have. These MU-like guys have it too, but it's more aggressive, primal and desperate. Body failed because the GBs realised that it wouldn't work, so they abandoned the project. Being left for dead is another reason for the inhabitant's characteristics. [i think it should be that the "being" inside the body started becoming independent and rebellious, so then the GBs scrapped it.]That works too. :) The experiments try to capture the Glatorian [and several previous residents of the body?] and bring them to the "leader" or "chief" experiment [the mind that inhabited the body, like Mata Nui in his?]*Switched* I like the mind is leader thing, and once again, mind is evil 'cause it was left for dead. The Mind has the ability to possess other beings, so the Glatorian cannot find out how to destroy him. The Mind can't possess Glatorian as well because they don't want him to, they've got different mind structures, and they don't have powers that The Mind enjoys using. [Mind (that could be its name) should also have built itself (himself/herself?) a miniature body inside the head or wherever. THough I think it would be better to leave the main encounter with it until the end, so we can have a dramatic monologue followed up by activation of the huge body]Maybe if there is a main encounter at the end, but there is also a similar tormenting minion villain present throughout the domes. [room for possible events]Glatorian escape from The Mind, and try to find a way to escape, encountering various beings and challenges in the domes. Each dome varies from semi-built and abandoned to post-apoc disaster zones. [epic battles] The body activates ["O shi-" happens?]I love this, but the GS is in pieces, and the main control / head is now Roxtus. The Mind could still be in the body, but there wouldn't be much of a way to activate the body without the head. [the experiments could be working on repairing the body to exact revenge or something. Plus, there's no way in hell I'm going to give up a chance to have the body fly offa Bara M, land on Aqua M, and have a giant robot death match with Mata Nui's body] That point wins, and is the reason I'm still following BIONICLE storyline. I swear that if this doesn't happen in the real story, I'm making it happen myself. Anyway, this: Mata Nui is searching around a GS part with a team of Agori and Glatorian for a way to begin reassembling the GS when they fall into a giant sinkhole that casts them into the underground world of that is a semi-built and apocalyptic MU. As Mata Nui leads his team through the many different domes towards the head of the GS, they are plagued by many inhabitants with different intentions, some who want the Glatorian for experiments or food, and some who mistake the Glatorian for GBs, and want to exact revenge upon their deserting creators. The inhabitants range from bizarre and dangerous experiments of the GBs to remarkably similar prototypes to the real MU inhabitants. After many challenges and events, Mata Nui and his team arrive at the head, where they epic battle through the "Metru Nui" of this GS in order to get to the GS brain below. Once they reach the brain, Mata Nui encounters The Mind, who is the prototype for Mata Nui himself. Mata Nui and The Mind battle for possession of the GS body and the Mask of Life, which can be used to complete the GS and bring it to life. [cheesy] The Mind has the same skills and strength as Mata Nui, so they are unable to defeat each other until Mata Nui realises what he has that his prototype does not; LOVE [/cheesy] After defeating The Mind, Mata Nui commandeers the GS and uses it to fly of to AM to save the MU from The Makuta. In the interest of epicness, Makuta has just left AM, so MN smashes in him at top speed in space, before they both tumble back onto AM, where they duke it out in a giant robot death match. Mata Nui overpowers Makuta externally while the MU inhabitants take advantage of this to take him down internally, causing MUGS to shut down, allowing Takanuva or some other MU hero to possess MUGS. Both GS use their super robot powers to slam AM and VM (Viridis Magna - Great Green) back into BM, causing the SM balance to be restored. On the newly balanced SM, Glatorian, Agori and Matoran alike rebuild their civilisations in peace and happiness while the two GSs go out into the universe to discover other life and stuff like that. Also, what happened to the GBs is left a mystery. [Red] denotes possible ideas [that Bfa has] thrown in. Feel free to fight to the death over them. :3 [3d Brickthing's] thoughts.

In NZ the 2008 vehicles were very hard to come by, and I've been told that the 2009 vehicles will be even rarer, with 1 or 2 sets per select stores. However, seeing as Front as said that BIONICLE is fine, it would just be because of the smaller markets, where stores don't believe the bigger sets will sell as well, so they don't get them.

2 Canister lines, ridiculous amount of Glatorian/Inhabitant Battlepacks. I've got some perfect three Glatorian MOCs that I'll post soon. 2 come from my too-late BBCC54. Bfa, I'll get back to your thoughts soon, I'm just going out for a bit.

Do you have the voucher email? If so, would you mind emailing me it? -
Okay, here's the possible story outline so far: How does Mata Nui leave in 2009 without the GS parts though? Hopefully just from the GBs tech, not them themselves. I like the idea of never actually meeting any GBs, and even after MN's mission is fully explained/completed and BIONICLE ends, what happened to the GBs remains a mystery. Certavus dies?
-
That's most likely going to be covered in the movie, because there where drawings of what looks like MN in the GBL. Greg has said that the most advanced things that Glatorians have are Thornax launchers, so Thornax Cross-bows don't make sense storyline wise. Anyway, what I'm saying is that the story isn't going to do gladiator fights in the desert again, and that's pretty much all Bara Magna has to offer.
-
Cool yes, logical for BM, no.
-
Yeah, but as I said before, they've made it pretty clear that BM is just a lot of the same thing - desert. Also, if they stayed on BM it would be logical to reuse Thornax launchers, and although that would be a nice thing for sets IMO, I can't see LEGO reusing them and their complementary SUPER-ACTION thing for a second year. @ SM( )'s size, it may not be that big, because we don't know exactly how big that BM crater is, and it looks like it could've fit the EO judging from the trailer.

If you kept the receipts, you can return them for a store gift voucher and them rebuy them at the cheaper price. The store doesn't like it that much, but it works. -
Aqua Magna? It may be Latin, but a less-English-common latin word for water/sea/wet would've been better. I'm still at confuzzled odds with the EO is part of SM thing. I suppose the in-the-same-solar system thing is plausible, and it explains seeing the Red Star on BM, but it brings up serious issues of how both EO/AM and BM close enough to both be in the safe temp zone of the local sun, yet are far enough apart for Matoran astronomers not to have seen the giant purple clouds around BM. It also takes down the epic space-travelling purpose of the MU if it's only inside one solar system. IMO Bara Magna is likely to be finished this year. Since 2004 the BIONICLE story has had a drastically different setting each year, and Bara Magna prides itself for being a desert and only a desert. The North is only being explored in the serials, so it would be more likely to change the setting via planet then dropping the bombshell on kids that BM is only a desert planet on one side.

Yes there is, because it improves the quality of all sites due to competition, provided that the sites are on par with each other.

It's only 20% off select LEGO currently. On the website the only LEGO product - Vader's TIE, was 20% off, but when I phoned in it wasn't 20% off all LEGO. YES! Imma gettin' Drawbridge Defence this weekend!
