  1. Done
  2. Great! Can you confirm which part of the story it's about now? (Movie/November Comic)
  3. Front, if you want, I can make this it's own topic for just the current MOC. It's definitely worth it.
  4. Wow....are we personally responsible for the last page? It is a real pity that the mysteries of the maze were compiled into one comic, as opposed to the year of awesome it could've been. I don't know what to think about the last frame. A Superman pose like that doesn't fit a robot the size of a planet, yet I can't think of a more suitable one. I'm guessing that the January comic will directly continue on from where Mata Nui left off in this comic, along with the arrival of Makuta at the end of that comic.
  5. That's a great MOC, especially the colours and style of the sword and wing combo. Is the gun on the shoulder meant to be part of the armour/body? If not, it might standout more as a shoulder mounted gun if it were grey/silver. For the topic, I recommend you add a link to the Brickshelf folder/main photo from the thumbnail picture, so that it's easier to view the final MOC.
  6. The colour scheme, proportions and photography are all very sleek. The weapons are very nice too. As suggestions to improve the MOC, if you don't have black friction axle-pins, use black 2# axles for the chest tubes, because those distracting blue pins can be fixed. Despite the envy factor of those thigh Ignika, I don't think they're that suitable as thigh armour due to their surface design motifs being completely different from the rest of the gold pieces, and they've got an unavoidable "overbite" on the knees when used as thigh armour. The tubing is an excellent detail to, but make the shin tubing connect from the ankles to the knees in the direction of the waist, because they're current direction disrupts the rest of the tubing flow of the MOC. The building techniques you used are an interesting mix, with set derived re-enforcements to customized elements such as the torso. I'll have to try that myself sometime. Overall it's fabulous, and I eagerly await your next creations.
  7. He could have a schedule of releasing new tidbits of info, to keep future storyline addicts content on a drip feed... The problem is that by the time it's no longer future storyline, we know it all already, so there's no exciting revelations at the turn of the new year. Have we discussed the possibility of the Stars concluding the BIONICLE saga, with the summer sets starting a new story/BIONICLE-like-theme? That's one way that would certainly make a movie likely, because it won't have to deal with a limited number of mini characters, and a movie would be perfect for promoting the new story and characters.
  8. One year topics tend to become big enough as it is, so there's no need to triple the size into a gigantic megalith topic. It would be cool, but not practical for reference or trying to find quotes.
  9. True, but this is next year, and the other one is this year. 2009 isn't finished yet, and if we post 2009 in 2010, then it'll be really hard to split current set discussion from spoilery next-year discussion.
  10. That's good clarification, but I doubt it could've been another set of golden armour. Wait, what happened to Keetongu!?
  11. Can we take this to the 2009 topic? That's what it's there for.
  12. No! Bad Batbrick - you just stole my evening! To add to why we know, do you think LEGO would make a big 15ish by 15ish prison with doors that explode off for one of the little guys?
  13. Depends how graphic it is I suppose. I'll decide on a case by case basis, just don't intentionally try to put something over the top.
  14. Not necessarily, because their mission was to re-awaken Mata Nui, presumably to restore him back his control over the universe. While they've woken him up, he still isn't back to full power, so they've still got something they could do to fully complete their destiny.
  15. I'm closing this now, due to the new way artwork can be posted. See here for how.
  16. Welcome to the Forum Discussion topic, where you can post questions and suggestions related specifically to this forum and it's rules. If there's a topic or review that needs to be indexed, this is the place to request it (or PM me). This is also the topic where I'll post about updates to topics and rules, so that everyone knows what's happening. So, to kick things off, I give you the new BIONICLE Review Index! Any future reviews that are posted will be put it here, especially if they meet the standards of Eurobricks's Reviewers Academy. There are a few reviews that have been made but aren't on there, either because there are no pictures or the pictures are way too big. I should've already PMed each of you if you've made a review that hasn't been indexed yet, but if I've missed you, please PM me! Secondly, I've closed the Official Artwork topic, in favour of an alternative that should hopefully improve the artwork activity in this forum. Each significant piece of artwork now merits it's own topic like MOCs and stories. Also like MOCs and stories, there needs to be an impression that you put a decent amount of time and effort into it, else it doesn't really justify it's own topic. Otherwise the first page might end up being full of sketchy stick-Toa topics, which isn't the intention of this rule change. If you're a member that posts a lot of artwork on a regular basis or you want to share some rough drafts or doodles, you can make a topic dedicated to all your artwork, where you can post new stuff as you make it. As a general rule of thumb, if you've got more than 3 artwork topics lingering around the top of the first page, you might find them merged into one. Finally, keep the subject of the artwork appropriate, without excessive gore or inappropriate themes. This may be an adult site, but there are better places for those kind of things than a LEGO discussion site. Right, that's the updates for today, next coming will be the rest of the indexes to make our forum spiffy clean, and then I can get started on the good stuff! Discuss and ask any questions you might have about these updates.
  17. Here's not the the place to complain about it though.
  18. Riddle of the Great Beings is leading into a Graphic Novel in 2010, which deals with the Red Star and presumably how Mata Nui and Co find the power source for the BMGS. I think Empire of the Skrall finishes in a way to explain why Tuma had the weak spot in the movie. Reign of Shadows will most likely bring all it's storylines violently together to explain why Teridax goes to BM, and how Tahu and Co end up coming in contact with the BM inhabitants. The thing that wraps up the storylines that need concluding in RoS will hopefully not be Vezon, but it probably will be. I hope that they don't want the GBs to shown for the sake of mystery, not that they'll feature more importantly later.
  19. Wout has also confirmed the statement from a retail catalogue he saw, so I'm not doubting the statement. But the statement doesn't confirm the entire BIONICLE line ending, so there isn't anything officially confirming this rumour, just a lot of stuff pointing towards it.
  20. I've merged this review topic with the review topic for your previous epic. It's fine to have a review topic for your story to keep the story topic uncluttered, but you don't really need a topic for every story as it makes unnecessary extra topics, especially seeing as you've finished the first one.
  21. My best guess is that after Mata Nui injects his spirit into the BMGS, the Ignika regains it's consciousness. Tahu is probably the unlucky one to find him first, and the Ignika would probably still be in shock out of the entire Mata Nui ordeal, to it acted quickly in self-defense, doing what it did to Icarax. Devolving isn't really the word I'd choose for it, because EP transforms things into other things not necessarily related, whereas evolving is what the Makuta did. If the Ignika were to encounter Vezon again, I wouldn't class removing the Olmak from his face as devolving him.
  22. Possibly, but it's odd that a source reference was never even provided initially in the BZP article.
  23. The names of those new sets don't really match the sound of previous sets in interesting-ness, and none of them feature onomatopoeia. Locomotive is a bit of a complicated word for a Power Miner set, Magma Tall Crane just sounds odd, and Lava Queen seems like a straight snatch from this summer's Crystal King. That said though, I'm probably biased to assume their fake, so it would be good if the original source of the names surface if they are indeed true.
  24. That sounds interesting. Odd that there is no source link though - I've scoured the Unity3D site and I can't find it anywhere.
  25. A product line description on a Czech LEGO website said that in 2010 the BIONICLE saga will come to a close. Whether that means just the MU related story or the entire BIONICLE line is unknown, but LEGO employees haven't falsified the rumour so far. Yup, BIONICLE spending will be lighter on the wallet next winter.
