If it's released in Dark Brown in the future, could BvS Superman's hair work for Janine? -

Disney Collectible Minifigures Series 1 Discussion
8BrickMario replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Just because someone said it, doesn't mean it's confirmed. Considering that LEGO and Disney combined will likely keep this under ultimate secrecy, I'm very hesitant to believe in sourceless information out of the blue.- 4,155 replies

Would I be horrible if I wanted to call a Walter Peck minifigure "Brickless"? -

He has two heads. One double-sided for possessed and happy, and one single-sided, to be used with the scanning helmet. -

Sets are almost never fully tiled. I prefer the studs, honestly, just because there's less limitations on where you can place your minifigures. With a fully-tiled floor, a few jumpers have to be scattered around to secure any figures to the floor. -

I just noticed the printed chin strap on Louis's head...there goes the usability. He's either possessed or in the lab all the time. EDIT: Wait, so does he have two heads? Otherwise, this set is just amazing. There's so much to it, and so much room. Now I know I need to have it. -

Wow, very impressive. I hope we'll get some close-ups and figure shots soon! I think the fold-out system really works here. And that new textured fire pole piece is impressive. The lab, the pool table, the darkroom, the closets, the office, and room for the ECTO, too? What a feat! The lack of the containment unit's a bit disappointing, but you could always stuff the Dimensions build in there. It was in the basement, anyway, so they would have had to compromise the space even further. That box is absolutely perfect, and I like the looks of "normal" Library Ghost, too! -

Where is it confirmed that some of these will have molded heads? I believe it's likely, but since when is it official?- 4,155 replies

The villains are using traditional dark magic, while the heroes are using it to power their technology.

It's because Hasbro has the rights to superhero action figures, and individual CMFs would violate that contract.- 4,155 replies

I hope the Book of Monsters is actually the Book of Monsters, but it's probably just a chapter book about it. It is hardcover, though... A human-sized version would be amazing, though. That green Squirebot is nice, and adds variety, but I don't think it's worth buying the book for it.

Real or not, I think we can all agree that these are awfully lazy figures. If these are real, we deserve much better. If not, thank goodness.- 8,446 replies

This set is supposed to blur the lines between the two (Janine, Louis, and Dana are clearly GB1). The firehouse was always red, though, so I don't see your point. While Gozer the minifig would be nice, the character didn't appear in any HQ scenes, and is less recognizable in humanoid form. I would have liked the option for the logo from the second movie as well as the first's. -
Well, the Smurfs haven't been teased (read:confirmed) in-game yet, but it's possible.
-
They're weird boxes like the Airjitzu sets, but I agree that the shape is impractical and too big for the set inside.

The only other thing we can correctly assume is that Catwoman will be included in the set, based on the shape of the Tiger Woman's hair. However, it hasn't been technically confirmed yet. '66 Batman's official design may have been teased a while ago, but we don't know if that's exactly what we'll get.- 8,446 replies

New prints never appear in prelims. They're usually stood in for by older pieces or blank pieces. In this case, the colors of the bike do seem to hint that Harley's outfit won't be new, though. Those trans-blue pieces on the side could be standing in for dark blue, though, but the picture doesn't really get us further in our speculation. Actually, yes. It was first seen last winter. We've seen pictures of his other face, too.- 8,446 replies

I suppose they're fine blank as a structural piece, but an undecorated shield looks rather boring on the battlefield. We're getting blank shields in other sets, used as tiles, so I don't see why they couldn't just print these.
-
I just noticed the hourglass, and they're not doing the piece any favors by not displaying it on a table. It looks too tall with the gold pieces, and incredibly awkward as it can only be held from the bottom. I don't see how else they'd do it, but it's not a good design. It's not even a stud-reversal piece!
-
If the shields are stickers, then what's the point? I guess it'll be the wonderful books that are more worth my time.

There's no need to be aggressive. Many of us would sacrifice the cartoonish look for minifigures that look good among standard designs. Molded heads would be a waste for many of the characters, anyway, when we could have new accessories.- 4,155 replies

Marvel Superheroes 2016 Rumors And Discussion
8BrickMario replied to Quicksilver's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, I guess Darkseid Invasion worked, so they did the exact same thing for Marvel? I'm not a fan of the vehicle, which doesn't look sleek or aerodynamic, but if Thanos is good enough, maybe I'll want it. I'm more interested in the Red Skull sub, which seems to have a nice build, and a cool containment pod. The new aqualung looks nice. -
The eggs are new. They don't have the textured surface, and the shape is different. For what it's worth, I much preferred this year's sets. I think they went overboard with the dragons idea, and they're too cutesy for my tastes, although the colors and wings are lovely. I do like the look of that male water elf, though, and there seem to be some great parts.
-
I also like the dark shield, and Ultimate Lavaria looks great. I hope she has a more angry face on the other side, though. Ultimate Robin looks really lazy, but I'd want one with armor, so I'll probably get him, too. Just how small are those foil bags going to be, though? The sets aren't that large, and I would have preferred boxed sets.
