  1. The Queen Beast looks great. But Stormer's position on the set art looks really creepy, considering where the leaf pod is.
  2. Since those pieces are meant to attach to multiple pinholes, friction doesn't matter. You could test it out with only one pin attaching to a pinhole to see.
  3. Plastic Man revealed for Beyond Gotham: He seems like an SDCC exclusive to me.
  4. Try accessing the UA site from the Products page and going to the map. It worked for me that way, oddly enough. Sort of cheesy how the danger level is listed as "code red" (no period/full stop after it) for each area.
  5. The Astor City map doesn't let me click on any of the sections.
  6. That's a shame, but it makes sense. I guess TRU will have them late July. No ultrabuilds, though, apparently,
  7. There's now the new pin (friction) with pin hole on one end:
  8. In some models, like the new Homing Spider droid, the pins aren't chosen well. The use of grey frictionless pins on its legs made it extremely flimsy while the black friction pins would have made it posable and allow it to stay that way.
  9. The only problem with the book is that it can't be held well and that all of them look like ancient tomes due to their size. A pizza box would be welcome, but a tile box and tile pizza would be fine, too. He would probably use a cap for headgear.
  10. I too got Interception, and it's fantastic! Infearno is even better in person, and the car is great, too. The only problem with it is that the front wheels (brick-built cores with roatating hubs) don't roll, since the hubs are about the same size as the cores.
  11. Does anyone know what the official US release for the Fire vs. Ice wave? I haven't seen them popping up yet, and the LEGO shop doesn't have them up yet with a "to be released on X, XX, 2014" yet..
  12. Well, it did seem like a metaphor for it in the TV show...
  13. Frax looks great. I want all of the Phoenix tribe. Interesting that they're making new characters for these polybags, rather than fillers, like Worriz. I don't think an Ultrabuild embargo is likely, if there's an ad for it, and no reason at all to exclude an export. What I like about the fire and ice theme is that I feel like Chima didn't jump the shark (as much) like Ninjago did. And the new pieces... Fangar's Fortress is about 50 pounds in GB, so I assume it will be between 50 and 60 dollars in the US. I don't know why it would total to 90 here. It's not even licensed!
  14. I was going to pass on the Starblaster Showdown, but now that I realize the Nova ship is squid-shaped, I may just have to get it!
  15. Yes, I'm calling the brimmed one the "witch hat" now, since we have such a great new conical wizard hat piece. I'm so glad they've finally captured the Merlin archetype so perfectly with the hat and flowy blue celestial patterned-robes. (and those moons and stars look to be Metallic Gold print!) And thanks, I like to use favorite CMFs as my avatar.
  16. I would be very disappointed if there wasn't at least a second wave that resolves the plot.
  17. I expect the Pizza Delivery Guy will have two-color arms for short sleeves, and probably the Genie Girl, too, if she's similar to I Dream of Jeannie,. Now we need this technique to migrate into the City theme for even more.
  18. I got Volectro,Vulk, and Slumbo today. They're fantastic, but addictive. I'm sure I'll have a full set of nine from each series someday.
  19. The Goddess is definitely Greek-inspired, but really not Athena to me at all. She has no owl motifs, and I never thought of her as a blonde, and she would wear armor, i.e, a specific Athena character would look more like Blakstone's custom. I wonder what her bio says about her, though. At least I'll have someone to be the cause of Medusa's monstrous condition! Agreed. I've always thought the CMFs were a great way for LEGO to make figures that wouldn't really fit anywhere else, but just added to the character subthemes to create the groups. Of course, certain pieces and minifigures are carried over to mainstream sets, but most of it is an opportunity for minifigs and pieces that don't go elsewhere.
  20. That's what makes it obscure as a tie-in, since the Dino theme wasn't too successful and no longer exists. The Hunger Games vibe is most likely intentional, with the Dino title as an excuse.
  21. New sets bombarding me everywhere!

  22. I like Glorp Corp and Wiztastics. I'll probably get all of both tribes.
  23. That evil purple jester would be amazing for the CMF! He's the one I want the most, and the most likely one to get, to me.The only evil jester they've done before is Harley Quinn, and she doesn't really count. I'm pretty tired of the happy Castle jesters, as well. It would be great if the purple one is the one we get, and if he comes with a scepter. Although if that is him, calling him only the "Jester" seems odd. He seems like an "Evil Jester" or "Dark Jester" to me. The next one I want to see is the Genie Girl.
  24. Sometimes I can't pull out tools for an entire mission! How are the alternate builds?
