Ventriloquist is definitely the most obscure of the villains to be made, since he didn't even appear in the games. I would have expected Hush, Ra's, or even Hatter before him, but it would be great to see him. In the context of Green Lantern, though, it would be too strange if Batman wasn't in the set like he was in Aquaman and the Flash's sets, too. GL vs. Ventriloquist is a very unlikely matchup.

Ventriloquist would be a great lesser-known villain to appear in the future. Wesker would be easy, and could appear as drawn physically, but that minifig-sized fedora concerns me, since a short minifigure would be too big and awkward as a representation of Scarface. How would he be handled by Wesker? A microfig, on the other hand, would lack the proper headgear and poseability to be realistic.

Agreed. The only people happy about it are the rare few who get an exclusive minifigure, or the ones who are willing to pay beyond exorbitant prices for one.

I keep on hearing about the "S.H.I.E.L.D Helicopter" vehicle, but none of them are named exactly that. Do you mean the Raft Helicopter (all gray)?

It's the 1x1 with studs on 4 sides connected to a faucet at the top stud and a white fez at the end before the barrel. What piece is this? The "objective" items (highlighted by red crosshairs on each box) in each set are really nice to see, like the acid cylinder and the laptop, so there's an item both sides fight over in each set. I also like the trans-blue chainsaw and see that the awful photo quality made Terabyte's helmet look like LB's.

Oh, I never said I hated it, but many people wish that everyone would just stop talking about it and let it go. I know Anna will probably be a Princess, but since Elsa was technically coronated but rejected her crown later, does that make her a queen or a princess? I feel like she was still treated as the official Queen of Arendelle, so maybe Disney will bend the rules for her, like they did with their temporary inclusion of characters like Esmeralda and Megara in their lineup. If they made an "Elsa's Ice Palace" set, I would be all over it. I wonder if her coronation outfit would ever be made, since the Queen hairpiece (the one with the tiara hole) is almost a perfect match for her hairdo there, but the ice dress would definitely be made, since that's her most iconic (or is it still to early to use that term here?) outfit.

That's a cool (or rather, considering the villain, not-so-cool) explanation, but the villains are unaffiliated here, with no leader. Not trying to be rude, I'm just an overthinker. I'm really intrigued and want to know the real backstory of this theme.

Names would make them more interesting, but the Max Mixels are truly just the three (insert tribe name here) combined, not a separate entity, making it confusing if they had different names in Max form.

Best/Worst designed licenced minifigure ever?
8BrickMario replied to Santaduckz's topic in LEGO Licensed
I get the feeling you're rating these on the characters, not the minifigures at this point. LEGO Ultimate GG is a great representation, but a horrible character that gets his hate taken out on the minifigure/bigfig. Probably my least favorites now are the hideous Goblins from The Hobbit. They gross me out. CW humans will always get a no for me. Some of my faves are new Doc Ock, Flash, and M.O.D.O.K. The new gray-and-white General Grievous is also really nice to see. Man-Bat is different from the MF Bat Monsters, but not enough unfortunately to get notice. I use the MF Werewolf pants to give him ripped jeans, I don't know why they left his pants unprinted. -
I'm honestly surprised they didn't jump on the Frozen bandwagon. That might have had some potential. But half of us would be complaining due to the overload of that movie. But classic movie sets would be nice, too, although many of the characters (especially the villains) would be restricted by the mini-doll shape.

Thank you! I didn't see that yet to look at (must get Mixels soon) but it feels good to know the names. I'm starting to like Glomp and Hoogi now, though. I'm loving the use of minifig-head eyes and hats to create eyelids. Slumbo uses Classic Space helmets, Balk uses orange caps on sideways eyes, and Mesmo uses the truly inspired wizard hats. Wizwuz's name makes me think he wasn't always a spider.

What is your least favourite Super Heroes set and why?
8BrickMario replied to Godtshep's topic in LEGO Licensed
Go for the 'roller. The Bat-plane isn't that bad, and you can ignore the function. The steamroller has the perfect combination of colorful and creepy, and the minifgs are great, with two additions to the Bat-family. I think it's worth it. -
Officially, who's your favorite Mixel from each tribe (you can include S3 but with a description since Mesmo (Wiztastics dragon) and Glomp (Tall Glorp) are the only names I'm sure of. Some I can deduce, though, like Footi, since it has large feet.) *=don't love the tribe, so it's the one I dislike least Infernites: Zorch/Vulk Electroids: Teslo Cragsters: Shuff Frosticons: Slumbo Fang Gang: Gobba *Flexers: Kraw Glorp Corp: The one with the hooked nose and toxic shot/splat arms (w/trans-green starfish) *Spikels: Scorpion (Scorpi) Wiztastics: Wizard (Wizwuz?) Wizard of Oz shoutout? "...if ever a wiz there was..."

Infearno's flame headgear, Tremor's armor, Toxikita's hair, Adam Acid's head, Psyclone's armor, Terabyte's helmet.

Don't worry. Most people would feel the same way if you posted references to the actors you know. The culture barrier is difficult to span. I'm not great with those jokes either, as I know the universes better than the actors, so I'm usually late to those jokes (which usually teach me a little about those actors).

I know. I was just thinking of old comic-style origin stories that can be that dumb.
-
I can also see his cheesy supervillain origin story now: a computer nerd gets a computer virus and when he tries to unplug the computer he gets shocked and the virus enters him and grants him chaotic technological control.
-
A valid point, but terabyte refers to a trillion bytes, and we have an earthquake villain in Tremor.
-
I like Adam Acid (or Acid-bowler-hat-guy) and Infearno the best. Terabyte and Tremor are cool, too, and I'm not sure about Toxikita, since she's the most human-looking villain of the group.

The Hulk/Unikitty one is hilarious! Why did you use Biznis Kitty there? Because she looked sillier and more harmless that way? The LEGO Movie and LEGO Super Heroes overlap well! Especially since Chris Pratt has a minifigure in both themes.

The LEGO Movie Sets News and Discussion
8BrickMario replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Fortunately, I have the original Johnny Thunder head from an old bag of garage-sale LEGO pieces, so I could swap it out if I wanted the Dropship. The head's the only piece of Johnny Thunder I have, though.- 2,626 replies

I know everyone talks about how many minifigures an actor has for their characters (Alfred Molina, Harrison Ford, Helena Bonham Carter, Johnny Depp, etc.), but this has to be the fastest an actor (Chris Pratt) got their first two (Emmet and Star-Lord) in less than a year! Though Emmet was already a minifigure, but technically it still applies!
