  1. The capes are a thicker felt material, previously used on the Dementors (both versions), and Storm in the X-Men set. It makes it way too thick at the neckline. It's not the Vitruvius cape material.
  2. Extremely unlikely. LEGO stores don't tend to break official sale date. Look in other retailers.
  3. The piece you're thinking of is actually more similar to Velma Staplebot's beehive. It's such a weird coincidence that the Black Widow hairpiece is virtually identical to Nurse Joker's, though. Would there be a Gotham Hospital set with NJ, Dark Knight Two-Face, and lots of exploding functions? I don't know, but the resemblance the the game piece is uncanny. GL set looks good, although the laziness of the older style Batman head bugs me. Why wasn't it the same as the other Batmen on a white head? And Captain Nemo, you will be able to give Sinestro pink hands once Vision comes out in the next Marvel wave. Even though they should have done the same for this set.
  4. The Black Mantra: a supervillain with lots of evil self-focusing catchphrases! I'm sorry, but that consistent misspelling really irked me. As did "should of" instead of "should have". Honestly, I look forward to EB reviews of these sets, since these are only really interest me for the pictures.
  5. I still wish Manta had some way of being a human. I mean, he's a guy in a suit. Couldn't they make a spare minifig head/hair for when he's not wearing the helmet? It's an odd piece, too. But I like it. Bats got lazy with the scuba gear this time, though. It looks like a nice set.
  6. Did anyone notice that Black Widow's hair is identical in shape to Nurse Joker's from the LB3 Dark Knight pack? Does that mean...no, it can't. Can it? So excited! Black Widow and Hulk are definitely the highlights here, and the other characters look good too. I'm disappointed by Quicksilver's hairstyle, though. I will definitely get the new Quinjet, Hulkbuster, and Avengers Tower sets, since all of them look really well done.
  7. Man, the prototypes and early development always look so good! I still like what we got, though Wait, is it Orbitonz or Orbitronz, with two "r"s?
  8. There is nothing enforcing you to buy the figures without knowing which one you have. You can feel the parts inside packets to determine the minifigure inside.
  9. The Dementor capes didn't fray either, despite the holes and tattered appearance.
  10. The blond flat-top agent from the original theme was Agent Swipe. Agent Swift was the female with the black bob haircut.
  11. I don't think the capes are great on the Kryptonians. On Batman, it looked fine. MM looks really good, and thank heaven they chose the older cape for his collar. That neckline would be unforgivable if it were felt as well. Why not Vitruvius/Galadriel/Wizard/Elsa's softer fabric cape material? I do like their flexibiIity, for easy seating and heroic posing. I like Brainiac, but I wish he was calmer. The ship is great, straight out of the game as a mini Skull Ship, and it looks good. Supergirl looks good, too. Odd how the New 52 designs aren't used on Supergirl, Superman, and Captain Cold. They have a big kick on it, but those few don't get the modern designs? Is it designer preference (they can choose classic if they don't like New 52) or the recognition factor?
  12. That piece looks very purposeless and odd, though it doesn't leave any clues as to the theme it's in.
  13. It bothers me that Jasmine looks so good, but her set is so meh.
  14. So the wings are punchouts? I don't think Hawks' face works well with the helmet. But the others look good. EDIT: That new neck bracket is absolutely fantastic! Give me twenty so I can attach Chima wings without the specialized armor! I cannot say how much I want these sets.
  15. But that's good! If they make a new mold, it won't be an exclusive character!
  16. Olaf looks really ugly. The expression is creepy and the lack of hair is distracting. Couldn't they have put a hole in his head and used another one of the brown sprout pieces? And the proportions freak me out, too. Elsa and Anna look really good, though.
  17. Nothing against Flash villains, but there are still some Bat-rogues I would want before Flash's.
  18. They're using the new mounted stud-shooter everywhere, since it's also in the upcoming Ultra Agents sets, and I would not be surprised if it's in the 2015 Chima and Ninjago sets as well. I'm looking forward to the multi shooters, because it's basically a LEGO gatling gun.
  19. I totally agree. The CGI makes the Goblin look too dark and too shiny. I want it so much!
  20. Yeah, they're the barrel of the gun on a modified 1x2 plate. Nice new part.
  21. At this rate of obscurity, I wouldn't be shocked to see Lazara on the list. At least I've heard of her...
  22. Darkseid looks good! In fact, both bigfigs turned out a lot better than I thought they would.
  23. I think Cold's wrinkles are fine, as they're appropriate for his mug. And a felt cape for Batman is extremely welcome! Perhaps LEGO realized how warped the old capes got when Bats was placed in his vehicles. Good job, LEGO, And I really want the set now. Grodd looks absolutely fantastic, as does everyone else. The models look good too.
  24. YES! I can put these on my Christmas wishlist now!
