I can't believe how strong the urge is to go out and hunt down some more Spartans! Knowing that Mastermind still has piles of figs and Indigo downtown still has lots (maybe picked-over, maybe not) is making my fingers itch.

I wonder what the odds are of a 'Pharaoh's Quest' advent calendar in 2011?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion
Ogre replied to legokuate's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hmm...I wonder if this means that the 'ice skates' will now make an appearance in system sets? That would be wicked-cool. As it is though, I'm going to have to snag a bunch of hockey players and ice skaters, just so I can use the skates on my 'winter village bakery' skating rink. Also...though I love that new beard and it looks great in white, I think it's about time we got beards in colours OTHER THAN white and grey. Aside from 'stubble' on minifig faces, I think the only fig with a dark beard is Hagrid. Yes? -

Post over in the "Canadian, Eh" topic, too. If there are other folks in your area, they might be able to help you narrow down the search. -

Thinking about future 're-paints': that HAZMAT suit could be re-painted in silver for a firefighter's asbestos suit and/or re-painted in white/silver for a different style of spacesuit; the hockey player's a no-brainer...different team colours; ditto with the 'footballer'; gnome hat in red via a proper 'Santa' figure for the end of next year? Etc., etc. I see a lot of possibilites here. -
Very cool. That's why I didn't know about it...I watch CTV news. LOL!

TOTALLY! That is the one BIG 'monster' that is still missing and I REALLY hope we'll see him in a futre series. -

I'm not surprised. After all, they had the witch and vampire together. I AM surprised that there is ALSO a 'mad scientist' in the mix. That's just awesome. Really beefs-up the 'movie monsters' aspect of things that much more. -

They work great as The Joker's goons. That's actually what I thought it was when I saw the first pics online. Couldn't figure out what was in his hand though. THEN I realized it was actually a hockey player. -

Oh. My. Gawd. Best series yet, IMO. -
What minifigs are we missing - post your detailed suggestions here

Aside from the grey 'light sword blade' from PAB, all other parts are from the collectible minifigures. Caveman: torso and legs Magician: head Weightlifter: hair and weights -
I didn't even know about it! Anything cool go on?

The PQ magnet set is actually a better deal here in Canada than the other magnet sets I've seen. Up until now, they've been $19.99 for three figures (don't know if that's the price for ALL but, it is for licenced sets). The PQ magnet set is $15.49 and includes (as was mentioned above) three map tiles.

I have NO hope of winning this, since I don't have/read the HP books and I am certainly not the accomplished builder that some folks here are but, those prizes are VEEEEEEEEEEERY tempting (especially since they're all sets that I want!).

So...how to we start a petition to get an Anubis warrior battle pack? Five warriors with weapons...swords & shields (if you HAVE TO, two with spears, three with swords & shields). No fluff, no filler. Same price as Castle battle packs. If anybody reading here has 'the ear' of someone who can make this happen, please pass it on! I would be ALL OVER this set! A brand new, 'rare figure' army builder for a LEGO exclusive theme? IMO, it would probably be one of the best-selling battle packs ever.

Oooooo...all LEGO 'lights and electronics' were on sale this past week at TRU...25% off! So, $9.99 key chain light was $7.47...$19.99 lantern/LED flashlight were $14.97, etc.

REVIEW: 7307 Flying Mummy Attack

I tell ya...with that minor mod, this bi-plane is now my favourite LEGO plane of all time. It's just so darn 'swooshable'. -
REVIEW: 7307 Flying Mummy Attack
Ogre replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Slight mod to the bi-plane to make life a little easier for our intrepid pilot... I removed the dark grey bits off the top wing, replaced that section with another 4x4 dark red plate and then mounted the machine guns on top of the wing. I also added 1x2 grey plates to the top and bottom of the 'window' panels that are used as the struts. Now Jake can actually SEE where he's flying! -
If anyone is looking for the minfigure LED flashlights, key chain lights and lanterns from LAST YEAR (the non-City-theme ones), I noticed yesterday that they seem to be back at TRU in Toronto. I was over at Cedarbrae Mall and they had quite a pile of them (in addition to SOME of the City ones). This must be a new shipment, because the previous times that I had been at that location looking for these items, all they had in stock was the Dynamo 'crank light' flashlight.
-
BTW...last time I looked on S@H (yesterday), they (Stormy & Vader) were BACK IN STOCK.
-
I'm lovin' the torso on the 'buggy cop' from 7279. Cool back printing! *edit* I missed the entire last 'Police' series...anyone know if this is a new print?
-
Ah, yes...BUT...Tim's has moved into the U.S. now, too.
-
Hmph. I WISH 'Target' was in Canada and I WISH those were Canadian prices, too!
-
Check Mastermind. Last time I talked to them, they still had quite a few series two left, especially the Markham store and their website (www.mastermindtoys.com) is selling them "buy three, get the fourth free".

IMO, the best parts of the battle pack are: a) ONE flying mummy...combined with two of set 7307 gives you a perfect squad b) the snake headdress...matches nicely with the one from 7325...could be 'squad leaders' for your mummy army And being a completist, I'll HAVE TO get it. LOL!
