Crap. If that's true, I'm NOT happy about the location. I no longer have a car and Sherway Gardens isn't exactly 'transit friendly' when coming from the complete opposite side of the city. I would have hoped for something in the Eaton Centre, at the very least. I wonder if that used to be "Bricks and Blocks", since that store was in Waterloo also (as well as Cookstown) but, their website and Cookstown store have been gone for a while now. Oh, and BTW...in case y'all haven't noticed it yet...the 'Darth Vader' alarm clock is sold out on S@H and the 'Stormtrooper' says 'please call to check product availablity'.

Does anyone have a price point (USD/CDN) on this set? I certainly hope it's not $19.99 (CDN) like Castle/Kingdoms battle packs, because those are FIVE figs, not THREE...but, with that said, the Pirates BP was $19.99 and it was only four figs (plus a chest and a monkey though).

Gotta have a bank for all of those 'bank robbers' to rob!

This year's was pretty cool. Updated in red for 'Kingdoms'. <~2009 <~2010

Reading the 'diary' on lego.com, I wouldn't be surprised in the least to see a whole new 'Adventurers' line of sets with PQ merely being 'phase one'.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
Ogre replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Ditto. TLG has really stepped up and cranked out some tres cool products lately. I'm impressed...but, my wallet sure ain't too happy! -
That was very nice of you. I'm not in The 'Peg....I'm in T-Dot but, we've got Zellers here, too.

Great review...as usual. LOL Love the parts...not so sure about the set as a whole...though I DO love the scorpion (but, then again, I have a thing for scorpions, so...). Can't help but drool over those Anubis warrior figs though. OMG, they rock!!!!!! I'd love to have an army of those...even if it's just a couple of squads. Maybe LEGO will release a second wave of PQ and we'll get some Anubis warriors in a battle pack. *fingers crossed*

REVIEW: 7325 Cursed Cobra Statue
Ogre replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Great review! I wasn't too keen on this set prior to your review, but now I think I'll pick it up. Not so much for the build, but for the parts. I disagree! With women's fashions, that 'military look' is always coming back around and those belted jackets always make an appearance. IMO, that torso would fit in just fine in a 'City' layout. -
From my experience with advent calendars...when they say 'sold out', they mean 'gone for good'.

For folks still having a hard time finding series two figures, "Mastermind" here in Toronto is still boasting "a huge selection" of figs on their website front page and the limit on figs has been removed from their page My link.

Just wondering if anybody here knows if LEGO is going to do another "Brick Friday" event this year?

REVIEW: 7306 Golden Staff Guardians
Ogre replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Ditto. Grease/oil spots. If they were HOLES, they'd be yellow. Besides...umm...he's a MECHANIC. LOL! I'll probably snag more than one of these, money permitting. Love the bike, love the mummies and the mechanic's torso will be great for MOCing other figs in my town collection. -
BTW...saw yesterday that, not only does LEGO have a bunch of stuff on sale on S@H, they are also selling the minifigure clock radios. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! Now I don't have to wonder who (if anyone) will be selling them up here. $29.99 US $39.99 CDN So, we get boned on the pricing again. What else is new?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
Ogre replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yeah, Wal-Mart here in Canada had series two for $2.86 each (or something like that) vs the $2.99 price everywhere else. Only problem was, they got one wave of them, which sold out in days and never got any more...at least, none that I ever SAW, anyway. The best source here in Toronto, IMO, was "Mastermind". Had a steady stock of them and didn't price gouge. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, too. -

Great. Short-shipping the elf, just like the Spartan. -

I was hoping to see that Mastermind had these already but, alas, still only series two. -
BTW...don't know if this has been mentioned or not (and I'm too lazy to go looking) but, PoP "Battle of Alamut" is on sale for $89 and change at TRU, regular price $109 and change.

Umm...actually, I am. LOL! (as well as City, Castle/Kingdoms and Pirates) Though I'm only really into OT (but I will pick up one or two of those Mando BPs!). I guess I'll have to see what the second wave of 2011 brings with regard to SW OT. Man, I am SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWED! My wife is soooooooo going to divorce me after next year. LOL!

Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan! Between PQ, HP, Ninjago, the new Atlantis sets and the next wave(s) of collectible minifigs, I'm going to have to win the lottery...or have some rich relative that I don't know about pass away and leave me a huge wad of cash! LOL!
-
I was surprised to see it at Wal-Mart. I don't think they've ever carried it before, have they?
-
Very nice! Well done. Great details. Only one thing jumps out at me...the chimney...should be taller, to pass the peak of the upper roof, otherwise you wouldn't get a proper 'draw' and the smoke wouldn't vent. Other than that, it's feakin' gorgeous. You should be very proud.

BrickForge Stricken With Gold Rush
Ogre replied to Omicron's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Very cool. The 'ponytail' reminds me of the 'topknots' described on the Borderlanders from "Wheel of Time". Hmmm...
