  1. Very cool MOC! Great details! I love how it appears to be based on the '60s tv series, instead of the current movies. Also, as with most others, I love that Batmobile! Too cute!
  2. I would buy it and would in fact prefer it over the current "Kingdoms" line, even though I think "Kingdoms" is a pretty decent line thus far. Yeah but, MB currently hold the license for Iron Man and they had/have for Spider-man, too...perhaps ALL Marvel characters right now? Anybody out there know for sure?
  3. Does MB still have the license? Tough to keep track these days, since they seem to jump from company to company in a fairly short period of time. POTC went from MB to LEGO, NASCAR went from MB to K'Nex, Thomas the Tank Engine went from LEGO to MB, 'Cars' went from MB to LEGO (Duplo)... Anyway...Narnia would be cool LEGO, if for nothing more than parts, etc., just PoP was. I haven't seen the movie of PoP yet but, the sets are GREAT and I wouldn't mind a second wave of them.
  4. BTW...in case anyone is wondering: cutting a "light sword blade" EXACTLY in half, gives the PERFECT size for two dumbbells for a 'strongman' figure. I used grey to simulate a metal bar. (I can't believe I actually altered a piece of LEGO! I guess I'm no longer a 'purist'. *sigh*)
  5. Bit of a misunderstanding here. I don't mean SPECIFIC figs, just INDIVIDUAL figs like they do now (1-16 at a time), or BOXES of figs.
  6. For series 3 and onward, I'd really like to see S@H have two buying options...individual figs and boxes. That way, both types of purchasers are taken care of, with almost ZERO extra effort on the part of LEGO.
  7. They're at Mastermind, too. In fact, they've had SCADS of them. Series one was limited to 6 per purchase. Series two was limited to 12 at first but, when I popped into the Richmond Hill store, they were allowing purchase of up to 24 at a time. Wal-Mart and TRU sold out almost immediately. When I called around, all I heard was "Well, we HAD them..."
  8. Yeah, it doesn't want to accept mine, either. *edit* HEY! There we go! Working now. Once upon a time, disco was "stayin' alive", then disco sucked, then disco was dead...now, disco has moved one step further: Disco's UN-dead, baby! *edit again* Weird...it works with one browser but, not with another. Odd.
  9. THAT would scare the M&Ms out of any trick-or-treaters that come to your door! LOL!
  10. Great holiday and an awesome MOC to celebrate it!
  11. I keep the pouches and leaflets for the collectible figs because, they don't have instruction sheets to keep, so those are the next best things. LOL I don't keep my set boxes etc...just the instruction sheets and some of the larger set boxes to store them all inside.
  12. I've been on a local tv show episode when I was younger...it was called "That's Life" and it was about single DADS raising their kids (which was rather rare at the time). I've also been on various news segments for things ranging from antique fire truck musters to helping out at firefighters' Halloween charity events (me in costume). In addition, I was on screen for a short while for the 'made for tv' adaptation of "The Third Wave". On the local news again, for being the firt 'young person' to reach the top in a "charity challenge climb" up the stairs of the CN Tower. Back in junior high school, my school (including moi) were all 'on air' as the news helicopter flew above us as we made a giant "peace dove" on the football field. Oh, I was also in the studio audience for a taping of "King of Kensington" waaaaaaaay back when and I think that shot made it on air after the show ended. I've also had several letters read on air on various tv shows and made the "Letter of the Week" in one of our local papers. Not 'tv' either but, my arm also appears in Pantera's "Cowboys From Hell" home video. LOL In the segment showing the guest appearance of Rob Halford (lead singer Judas Priest) at Pantera's show at Rock 'n' Roll Heaven, you can see two arms shoot up in front of the camera...bigger arm is me, smaller arm is my buddy. =) That's about all I can think of right now. Hmph. A lot more than I thought there was. LOL
  13. For series one, I kept one out (as a purchase guide) and put the rest back in their pouch after opening. (I keep the pouches for some odd reason. LOL)

    Canadian Eh?

To quote Mr. Burns..."Eeexcellent!" *edit* Of course, it USED TO BE "buy THREE and get 25% off". Buggers.
  15. 'Tis evil in truth! Can't add that set to the 'win your wish list' contest, because it's not in a 'current' line.
  16. Gladiators. There are so many different types, with many assorted weapons, you almost can't go wrong. The head of the magician is pretty close, yes? Combined with the caveman body/legs and a customized barbell/dumbbells... It's pretty much exactly the mod that I'm making, except I'm keeping the modern weights from S2...for now...maybe...

    Canadian Eh?

BTW... I'm assuming y'all know of this but, since I haven't seen it mentioned here (and don't know where else I should look), I thought I'd mention it... If you go to lego.com and click on 'shop online', you'll notice on the shop page 'Win your LEGO wish list'. Download the form, fill in your top ten 'wish list' sets (up to $1000 value) and you could win that entire wish list. Tres cool, no?
  18. I figure the Spartan of series 3 will be the Elf but, with no barcodes, it'll be tough to do any army building and almost impossible for unopened packs, I would imagine.
  19. Congrats to all the winners! You all did a great job and I'm quite impressed with all of the entries. Many thanks to the contest organizers and sponsors!
  20. I really like those ideas. Hopefully LEGO is paying attention and likes them, too.
  21. Fan-figgin'-tastic! As always.
  22. This is one cherry set! I think it just pole-vaulted to the top of my wish list.
  23. Well, it's October 1...and 'Tower Bridge' can't be ordered from Canadian SAH. Don't know WHY...it's been advertised for two months, along with Winter Village Bakery (which also can't be ordered)...also can't order the three Halloween sets. WTF????
  24. I'm digging the Pharaoh's Quest line that's coming next year. Looks pretty cool. I'd also like to see some WWI and WWII sets but, based on LEGO's philosophy, it ain't gonna happen. I agree that they probably can't do much more with a Viking theme but, I would have preferred it to be more historically accurate, instead of 'fantasy' Vikings.

    Canadian Eh?

Grrrrrrrrrrrrr! So, does anybody know why in the hell's bells us Canadians can't order the Winter Village Bakery from Shop At Home? Every other freakin' country that's on the SAH list has it available (except for South Korea, were it's not being sold) except Canada!!!! I've been looking at that "Available October 1" message for two friggin' months and now that October 1 is here, I can't order it? WTF is up with THAT?!?!?!?!? I phoned SAH as soon as they opened this morning and the lady was baffled and couldn't provide me with an answer, though she promised she was trying to find out for me. Six-plus hours later and still no answer. Oh, and in addition, we can't order the Halloween sets or the Tower Bridge but, at least the Harry Potter sets are available. *edit* Okay, finally, as of 2:30pm Friday, October 1, these items can now be ordered. FINALLY! Ugh.
